  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: AMD graphics driver does not not after the upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 online

Microsoft snuck in as the custody of my 3 weeks ago and started the upgrade my operating system Windows 7 to Windows 10 without my consent while I wasn't in front of my laptop. When I noticed what was going on I have reluctantly let the process take its course. I have encountered in many problems. The main source of problems, it seems that graphic of the AMD Mobility Radeon HD5000 series laptop drivers are no longer works, apparently supported by Microsoft drivers.

AMD gave 2 driver updates: 15.7.1 and Crimson Edition 16.2.1 Beta catalyst.

I installed 15.7.1 but still had no service message.

I then installed 16.2.1 always without result.

Should I give up to get my AMD drivers working and settle for what Microsoft has done that has mucked up the graphics on my HP DVD and Vivo TV apps?

    Hello Grayson,

It is very likely that you upgraded your computer to windows 10. If it is less than 28-30 days ago that upgrade, would have a chance to go back to windows 7. This is possible by clicking on the small papir in the right corner below only 'no new notifications or new notifications' If your only and press on all the settings-> press update of security &-> in the left, you should find one called "Recovery"-> under that with that you should have a return to windows 7.

If you return to windows 7, you can block the forced update by using this link: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2998967/windows/how-to-block-the-windows-10-upgrade.html

    hope this helps you.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party

  • AMD graphic driver problem.

First of all Hello. I am strugling with this driver AMD since a long time. Let me tell you. First of all, all started when I tried to install Crysis3 open MP Beta. He said that I needed to have a graphics card compatible dx11. I had 2 Intel HD Graphics and AMD Radeon 6770 M graphics cards. Then I changed the game to high performance GPU. But nothing has changed. I am looking for some of the forums and found a driver link AMD Beta. Someone said that it install it and it worked. I installed it and then this problem began. My graphics card has become 6700M 6770M. I was simply shocked. And yet, I couldn't play Crysis. Then I tried to update my graphics card and an error appeared "cause of a material that is not appropriate (or suitable I can't recall) AMD graphics card can not be installed." Something like that. Then I deleted my graphics card tried to reinstall. Dang, still the same error that I couldn't! I didn't know what to do. I restarted my pc for guilty of times, and then Windows problem or something like that began at the start and he fixed my graphics card but it was still 6700M. I have countinued with a few months. Now my graphic card it totally gone I don't see it or in Device Manager. And when I start my computer, a message appears: "To cause an AMD graphics card that does not work properly with desktop manager is deleted." Something like that.

I mean I can't use my AMD graphics card at all. What should I do? I've been strugling with this AMD graphics for months! Please help me.

    Hello Arybarsius.

You are able to restore the laptop to factory conditions by performing a HP System Recovery.

However, you should back up important data first because if you do not have it will be lost forever.

Here are the steps to perform the recovery.

    Have a great day.

  • AMD graphics driver software

    Hello

    I have a HP dv6-6102ax notebook PC, running Windows 7 64 bit.

I would like to know if I can uninstall (completely) the AMD graphics driver software provided by HP and installed the generic drivers from AMD/ATI

I downloaded and installed version 12.3 on my laptop without a problem (meaning graphics HP driver upgrade existing for the generic drivers from AMD/ATI; no uninstall), but error keeps showing up in such that:

    • Event 7000, Service Control Manager: atillk64 service failed to start due to the following error. The system cannot find the specified file.
    • Event 7000, Service Control Manager: atidgllk service failed to start due to the following error: the system cannot find the specified file.

I have read other forums on this problem, and they all suggest that you must uninstall the existing drivers (fully) then install the new driver.

I would like to know if any compatibility problem happen? Some drivers like AMD Host Controller 3.0 and AMD SMBUS are included in the software of HP AMD graphics card, but not AMD/ATI.

    Thank you.

The latest ATI updates on-site www.AMD.com corrects these problems.
