(Redirected) Error: Internal no boot the disk sector

I am new to the forum community.  I hope this is the right place to post a question.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 Windows 7.  When I start the computer, I get the above error.

When I press F1 resume and proceed with startup as if nothing is wrong.

Why I get this message and how can I fix this problem?

Any help?

As you have a laptop, better make this laptop in the computer Forum post here:

  • Error 0 x 80070571: the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable

I recently had an error message saying "error 0 x 80070571: the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable," in reference to C:. I tried chkdsk oh so many times. No change.

Recently, I was able to access the C: files sporadically. Occasionally, sometimes not. However, I can access my files in safe mode.

When I start in normal mode, the system is acting funny. I will try to describe. It starts very well, go anyway for the office and everything. Sometimes, I am able to use the laptop for a few minutes until everything freezes but the cursor; nothing else responds, even not ctrl + alt + delete. Other times, I'm still not that chance. You know how pointing the cursor on an icon temporarily highlights the icon? Highlight the thing is sometimes just to block the system. Once locked, all I can do is hold down the power button.

I tried the system restore, but it never once helped me with the cause of the system error.

I also deleted some programs out of the startup list. Not sure if this would have an effect.
I am running Vista Home on a HP Pavilion dv5.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I tried all three methods.

Methods 1 and 2 have helped for a while, but not long. Method 3 found nothing.

The only solution I can think of is to backup my personal files, then do a system format. Before you do a format, is there anything else that you could recommend?

  • VMware converter 5.5 failed with the error failed to partition the disk of destination

I tried to convert the centos linux server physical to virtual. However, I received an error message at 1% as below,

Error: Impossible to partition the disk of destination.

FAILED: an error occurred during conversion: "CalculateGPTPartitionLocations failed!"

Conversion of GPT partition is available vcenter converter 5.1 and higher, so the GPT partition on the source server will not be a problem.

Tried several ways as the storage of data changing but still receive the same error message.

    Anyone encounter this before?

    Hello

Unfortunately there is a bug with Linux P2V Converter when the destination drive is greater than 2 TB (is not whether TPG, it's size). Sorry for the inconvenience.

The solution would be to reduce the volumes instead of destination and/or their distributed on multiple disks. Another solution would be to leave unchecked high-volume and clone them manually after the conversion.

Another misfortune is that these workaround solutions are not possible in your case - the root volume occupies approximately 4.3 TB, and the two 'start-up' and '-' are needed to perform a conversion with the reconfiguration.

The options I can think of are:

-make a manual P2V, i.e. to create the destination (with partitions, logical volumes and base) computer created and formatted, clone the data (for example the converter uses tar via ssh) and manually configure the virtual machine. The final step is, fixing/etc/fstab, installation of GRUB and rebuild the initrd image

    -install new and copy data

-Optionally divides the volume of root on the source machine if possible and then convert it. For example, to add a new drive temporarily and move some data so that all volumes become smaller than 2 TB.

    Hi Arman,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I would say you can remove the drive letter M: using disk management and assign a different drive for the drive letter and check if it helps you to solve the problem and if the drive works very well.

To change the drive letter in disk management follow the steps below:

    a. open computer by clicking the Start> Control Panel > system and security> Administrative Tools > computer management. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (b) in the left pane, click disk management.

    c. click the drive that you want to change and then click change drive letter and paths.

    d. do one of the following:

    • For letter an if it has not already received, click Add, click the letter you want to use and then click OK.
    • To change a drive letter, click change, click assign the following drive letter, click the letter you want to use, and then click OK.
    • To remove a drive letter, click Remove, and then click Yes to confirm that you want to remove.

    Additional information:

Change, add, or remove a drive letter

    Hello muhammad.

Before you do anything with this player, you can search online for some data recovery utilities so that you can try to recover your data.

What operating system do you use?

Have you tried running chkdsk on the drive?

    Let us know.

  • External hard drive not detected with the error: "You must format the disk in the J: drive until you can use it."

    Hello

I have an external hard drive to work perfectly. I'm back from vacation, and it does not appear under "My Computer". It appears under "Devices and printers", however. This is a link to a screencap of Device Manager: http://i.gyazo.com/9e91e1d71ed32c55dba0419e79b499d5.png

The device in question is that of J:, and it says here that he has 100% free space, that worries me, because he had only 50 GB of free space when I used the latter. After that I open the disk management, I get a pop up message saying: "You must format the disk in the J: drive until you can use it."

How can I get my hard drive appears again?

    Thank you

    Hi John,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem.

According to the error message, I suggest trying the suggestions posted by the NakulShridhar responded on 14 October 2011 and by that alexquiteguy replied on 13 January 2011 in the thread following link and check if it helps.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, I understand that you have a problem with the disc.

As you mentioned that you have tried the steps of troubleshooting mentioned in this thread.

I suggest you run the Fix-it tool and check if it helps.

This tool diagnosis and repair CD or DVD drive issues, when you can not burn or play CD or DVD discs when a disc is not found, not available or not connected.

    See the link below.
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems?WA=wsignin1.0

As we have tried most of the troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem, and if the problem persists after you run the tool fix - it also. So, I suggest to get in contact with equipment manufacturers , because they will be the best person to help you.

Hope this information helps. Please let us know if you need additional assistance. We will be happy to help you.

  • ERROR: Not supported format the disk (VMDK sparse invalid header)

    Hi all

I just met ovftool and gave it a try. I am fairly new to the world of VMware.

I have a. OVF I exported customer using vSphere 4.0. It. OVF consists of 3 Suse Linux based virtual machines. that is, I created a vApp on host ESX (4.1) in this TIME, I put my 3 VMs of SLES and then exported in file OVF.

It has a total area of about 4.5 GB.

Now, I ran this command to compress it. OVF and gave the opportunity to create a deltadisks.

    C:\ > ovftool - compress = 9 - makeDeltaDisks - skipManifestCheck MyVMCluster\MyVMCluster.ovf E:\

    output:

    {{{

    The manifesto does not validate
Generate records of delta for 2 discs (40960 MB capacity)
    Playing discs
    Transfer complete disc

Determine the optimal configuration for the Group of capabilities
    Configuration of disk write
    Transfer complete disc

    Completed successfully

    }}}

Now, when I checked my E:\ He had created a folder with the same name and place the associated files. I saw a significant reduction in the new vmdk format. (about 2.3 GB now)

So, when I deploy this new ovf vSphere client manually, it will up to certain age % and then reports an error:

    {{{

Error loading file to the server (E:\MyVMCluster\disk3.vmdk.gz) not a supported (header invalid sparse vmdk) disc format

    }}}

and then it stops and all rolledback.

    Pointers?

    Thank you

  • trying to create an ESXi data store on the local drive.  Configuring the host error: unable to update the disk partition information

I'm a newbie on ESXi and don't know what it takes to get ESXi correctly partition my drive SATA 500 correctly.

I will implement a laboratory unit to carry out tests for ESXi and ESXi is not quite correctly the disk partitioning or do not see a good partition in order to create a data store.

This system was able to correctly identify and configure a data store on a small 80 GB seagate SATA disk, however, this isn't quite enough storage so I swapped the hard drive and tried to re - install ESXi on the new hd.

I use a USB boot ESXi since and it is launched and configures the card intel pro1000 pci ethernet correctly.  also correctly the id of the cpu and memory.  everything seems fine and he is even able to see the hard drive.

Here are some screenshots of the process that I go through to make my data store...

on this photo-sous the column titled 'available' is 'none', also said, under the title 'san identifier' he said 'not applicable' - I guess that's not quite right?

    and disappointment - failure?

I tried to go into the bios if there are some settings I need to do to get this hard drive set up... I don't understand enough about ESXi to find out why the drive is not found and configured correctly.  is this a bios problem w / my system or a problem of ESXi?

    pls help!

You have generally not, but it might be interesting to start with something like a Linux live CD and then using gparted or other to wipe all the top partition information.

  • USB Flash Drive gives the error "you must format the disk in drive E, before you can use it"

I just plugged my USB pen and a message pops up saying: "you need to format the disk in drive E, until you can use" I was wondering if and how I can solve this problem? Can anyone help? Sam
    * original title - USB pen problem *.

    Hi samanthaGibbons,

What is the make and model of your USB Flash drive?

The USB Flash drive works in any other computer?

It might be a problem with the drive itself, or it may need to be formatted.

I suggest you check out the website of the manufacturer for possible troubleshooting or know how to reformat the disk, if necessary.

    I hope this helps!

Log in to the Coldfusion Administrator, and take a look at application.log or coldfusion - out .log. It should tell you what is the error and possibly line number.

  • Portege Z30 - problems of USB - error Code 10 using the disk external HARD - SOLUTION

    Hello

I wanted to just connect a problem and the solution I just got/found. It's about a Z30 with an installation of Windows 7 32 bit and a 1 TB mSATA SSD.

I was unable to get any USB 2.0 drive Flash or any (if USB or USB 3.0) external HARD drive to work. They would try to install but I'd end up with a yellow warning triangle in Device Manager.

After various attempts of a workaround - I spotted alongside the driver.sys and usb.sys load - there was a mysterious driver which I finally tracked down the wizard of related software.

After uninstalling the magician - all USB keys and external HARD drive worked perfectly.

Do not have this problem with an other Toshiba with a standard SSD EVO and magician - so not quite sure that the installation is triggered it.

    However problem now * solved.*
