• Cannot remove a redirected network printer

  Using a desktop computer HP with Ultimate 64 bit operating system.
  All of a sudden our network printers (3) do not accept a print job and when looking at the tab printer I've seen all the printers on the network had (redirected1) after the name. I reinstalled network printers and the new ones that work well, but when I try to delete those redirects that Vista won't allow it. It tells me access is denied. I checked each coil and there is no pending print jobs. Through services, I disabled the print spooling and restarted, but they are still hanging there. I have suggestions to get rid of them because they are causing a lot of confusion for users.

  Have you tried the steps mentioned by Gloria - Support Engineer?

  Milo, Go to the printers in the control panel and made folder right click on the printer you want to remove.  Select "Run as Administrator" and then click on remove.  If this does not work, try to disable UAC temporarily until you get deleted printers, just make sure you turn it on again for security reasons.  To turn off the UAC: 1. open user accounts. To do this, click Start, type accounts in the search box, and then click user accounts in the list programs. 2. click on Turn User Account Control on or off. The user account control permission.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. 3. clear the use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK. 4 restart the computer.   I would also recommend to delete all printers completely and follow the steps to add network printers.

  1. connect the printer and install the drivers.

  2. open the Printers icon in control Panelin Windows Vista.

  3. right click on your printer has just been installed and choose Properties.

  4. navigate to the Ports tab.

  5. click on Add Port, select Local Port, and then click New Port.

  6. the Name of the Port, enter the path of access and sharing of accurate network your printer name.  (ex. - \\HOMEPC\Printer2)

  7. click OK and make sure that this new port is selected with the checkbox.

  8. click on apply and then OK to close the printer properties.

  You should now be able to use your network printer correctly.

• Prevent redirection of network printers in Windows 7 clients

  We use a server W2K3 running Terminal Server services. Windows 7 clients all have their network printers, but also their redirecting local printers.  I want to only local printers to redirect as XP clients.

  Our sellers when in the office, all use the server terminal server.  Then when they are all in the office and connected, they each have anywhere from 2 to 8 printer redirection (or try to redirect) is totally useless as network printers are already installed on the server terminal server.  So I could see only one printer appears 15 times with all the redirects clients.  The DRC XP not redirect network printers.  How can I get only the local printer redirected.  I tried the RedirectDefaultPrinterOnly, but for most users, that ends up being one of the network printers.

  All the results that I find are for remote printing does not.  For me it works too well.

• HP Officejet Pro 8610: two printers on the same remote network model will not be printed, but local will be

  I have two furniture stores that are run on a windows sbs2012. Recently, both off my all in printers are down in the same week. The first was at the location where the server is actually housed. I bought a HP Officejet 8610 and managed to put in place without problem a lot via a wired network connection. So I decided since who went to buy the same model for my remote which is also connected, but it has a wireless access point. I was not able to get anything to print from my main software called profit systems. I can get things to print to the shared remote drive. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but even if connected as long as administrator I get a error that reads "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. I put it up as both just and redirected network and it shows it as ready in the State, but after it clears the queue that nothing prints. I checked firewall settings and all with HP is checked on. I'm pretty computer but I am full of ideas. Help, please!

  So after that I lost two days of my time and more than two hours of my time of I.T. guys it came to our attention that the driver IS NOT SUPPORT this model of HP JO 8610 redirected remote office printing! HP really, really?  So we have to install the driver 8600 on the server and local computers to get things to print. Problem solved, but it's just sad that this was the problem.

• SG300-52. Prefer to send traffic to the default gateway rather than static route? Network stops if I disable ICMP redirects.

  I have 4 switches, each act as their own with a 26 subnet mask. They have static routes for every other switch. The firewall has a static route to each switch. If I unplug the LAN of the Firewall interface, traffic stops the flow of the switches. If I block the side LAN firewall, ICMP redirects, traffic stalls outside.

  So if you are connected to this switch, say that you pull an ip address of 192.168.122.20. Your front door is the 192.168.122.62 switch. If you try to access a server 192.168.127.142, the SG300 sends your traffic to 192.168.127.254 to get an ICMP redirect, rather than simply to communicate directly with 192.168.127.50.

  My network 'basic' is 192.168.127.0/24 vlan1 and the firewall is 192.168.127.254

  This is the route of one of my switches table (which has 192.168.122.0/26 and ports run on vlan122)

  In any case, what gives? Why the switch would first try to send the stream to the firewall?

• Windows 7 Documents library Redirection on network share

  In Windows 7 Professional 32-bit RTM, how can redirect you the documents folder in the start menu on a sharing network for example. \\servername1\shared? You used to be able to do that on Windows Vista, but I can't add this part to the new document library. I was able to add the folder once I made available offline, but I don't want my files stored locally. Is there a way to delete the document library shortcut in the start menu and replace it with the old Documents shortcut found in Vista? Jimmy

  The Documents link points to your document library.

  Looks like you would do two things:
  (1) add a folder on a network drive to your document library, so that you can view your My Documents, Public Documents and \\servername1\shared in one place.
  -As you pointed out, you can make it available offline, so cache files locally and allowing them to be indexed. If you do not want them cached locally, you will need to have indexed them on the server as described above.
  (2) redirect the My Documents folder to a network location. Note that this will replace your local My Documents with a stored remotely. You will only be able to access your My Documents unless you make available offline. Changes that you make will synchronize the server whenever the connection is available.
  Note that Documents in the Start Menu link will always go to your document library, which can consist of sites the and remote.

  I have run the applet get Windows 10 and get the message: "there are no supported network devices.

  I use the router directly from the ethernet port, so it seems that the Dell 5150 driver for this is not Windows compatible 10, which is disappointing.

  How can I find the "speed" of my network card?  Looking at the Device Manager I can tell that the manufacturer, Realtek, but I am trying to determine if I have a 100 mb or end adapter.  My Bill does not or it is displayed in the system configuration page.

• Redirect popup appears every 10-15 minutes in Thunderbird... already reset FireFox no redirect... How to stop it!

  This question was asked on thunderbird in January with no responses. Do you have the Firefox problem to stop the redirection, but it is always persistent in Thunderbird. I studied repeatedly unemployed. The popup keeps always burst. Apparently it isn't Malware, but it's troubling... Please suggest a correction. The alternative is to stop using Thunderbird... a solution, I would not use.

  The problem is really that the behavior is technically correct. It's the Get HTTP return codes. So the product causing the redirect is really the cause of the problem. But I'm sure we can turn it off in the same way, what happens in Firefox.

  (1) use the configuration editor
  (2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste the redi and make a break while the list is filtered
  (3) double-click network.http.prompt - temp-redirect from its value of true (the default) to false.

  I use firefox on android as "customer" for a home automation system main interface. The home automation system based on user/admin gui web that I allowed to 'install' as a hosted web application, and both the gui and the manifest.app a little embarked on a linux embedded custom I use to serve web pages.

  The whole House has a different LAN, and some of them are also disconnected from the internet.

  No longer works with firefox beta and fennec every night, I see that the webapps change, former a new should be built as the apk to an external service. I know that theoretically I can build my apk in my own local network, but I don't have a camera with enough resources to do in any lan, therefore, no way to do it.

  Of course when I try to install just my manifes.webapps to https://controller.apk.firefox.com/ cannot connect to my internal web server, therefore, no way to install my webapp, also, I can't put a webapp online as some House does not have internet connectivity at all.

  Is it possible to achieve what I was used to the way that the 'old' webapps, or I need to build an application web packaged with just a single page just make a redirect to my local web server?
