(Redirected) No screen connection for windows 8

Hello

I'm having a problem with my office windows 8 (Alienware x 51). When I turn on my computer everything loads normally except when I get to the account page Microsoft that nothing appears. The box to put in your password is gone. I am not able to connect. The sleep icon, restart and stop always remains in the lower corner.

When I first turned it on (when the problem started) the computer says something about hard drive failure and then attempted to make repairs. That no longer appears, I just have this problem above.

Possible causes? The last time I turned it off (when there is no problem) I used the button close with force, so it might not close correctly.

I tried turning market.

I ran a system assessment ePSA, he took all the computer peripherals (cables, video card, processor, etc.). If the hard drive took an hour longer than any other device to pass. It is not just well.

Any help on how to resolve or diagnose the problem would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

  • The desire to have identical screens 'connect' for both computers, both running Windows XP, SP3.

I have two desktop computers, one running Windows XP Professional, SP3 and the other running Windows XP Home Edition, SP3. When I connect the computer professional, it passes through the boot info, then on the screen of Microsoft Windows XP with horizontally lights flashing and then having to display all users who said "to begin, click your user name." However, on the computer of the publishing house, he crosses the start screen, the screen of Microsoft Windows XP with horizontally lights flashing, but goes to a screen titled "Windows Journal" and asks for my username and password.

What should I do to get the computer to the Publishing House to display the same "to begin, click your user name" with user names like the professional instead of the "newspapers Windows screen?"

Thanks in advance for your help.

First, go to control panel > user accounts, and then make sure the "Use the home screen" checkbox is checked. OK your way out.  See http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/ua_logon_at_welcome_page_w.mspx?mfr=true
If the box is already checked, see this--> http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_wel_screen.htm (scroll down to "the logon Welcome screen does not appear").

What to do if you forget your Windows password

If you have forgotten your Windows password and you are on a domain, you must contact your system administrator to reset your password. If you are on a working group (the majority of individuals are on a working group), you can reset your password by using a reset disk of password or by using an administrator account.

    Create a password reset disk:

    Reset your Windows password:

If you forget the administrator password, and you do not have a password reset disk or another administrator account, you will not be able to reset the password. If there is no other user account on the computer, you will not be able to connect to Windows and you will need to re - install Windows.

  • Disable the automatic connection for Windows 7 with 1 single active account.

I've searched high and low on Google but all I could find are methods to allow the automatic connection.

Is it possible to have Windows 7 load to the top of the selection of Auditors even screen with 1 single active account?

I remember what is a function available in XP.

There are probably more simple methods, but it certainly works: create a fake account, then bring it to be hidden from the logon screen. The following batch file will do it for you when it is run under elevated privileges. Of course, you must disable the usual automatic connection setting via this command:

    Control userpasswords2

And here's the batch file. Use the copy & paste - do not retype! Note that the line starting with
"echo > % RegFile" is a very long line that ends in 'UserList]. " Not to break upward.

    off @echo
    Set RegFile="%temp%\reg.reg".
    echo > RegFile % REGEDIT4
    echo > RegFile % [HKey_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList]
    echo > RegFile % "DummyUser" = DWORD: 00000000
    Regedit RegFile %

    Suggestions... :-/

    Hi Jeff,

As you've already tried the troubleshooting steps, I suggest for the link and try to refresh the computer:

How to restore, refresh or reset your PC

Note: refresh the computer will not remove not remove files or change your settings. The apps that came with the computer or you installed on Windows Store will be reinstalled, but all the apps you have installed other Web sites and DVD is deleted. You will find a list of applications on your desktop after you refresh the computer.

    It will be useful.

  • Automatic download occurs on-screen connection for XP Pro. Help!

In my class, we use Windows XP Pro and I have a program installed to catch all downloads in a buffer (Norton Autoback). The buffer fills the log on screen after an hour or two, thats why something is automatically downloading, but I have all autodownloads disabled for all Windows programs and all MS, as well as Java and Flash products. There are three user accounts. Should I use a rarely used administrative accounts that might not have turned off automatic download? Which profile is used on before login screen that the user identifies which account they will use?

I thought about it. Google Chrome has an automatic update that has no way to turn it off within the program. So I ran msconfig and not the boot for GoogleUpdate file.

    I have a T410 with NVS 3100 M, using a HD TV for monitor via a DVI-HDMI cable.

Answering my own question... changed the resolution under the NVIDIA control panel update settings in HD, 1080 p, 1920 x 1080 (recommended) at 50 Hz SD and it seems to fix the problem. Previously it was set at PC 1920 x 1080 (native) at 60 Hz refresh.

  • ThinkVantage Access Connections for Windows XP on G41

I use a 2886-5TU G41 and I really screwed up.  I was cleaning my registry and it is a mess.  I lost all network connections, and they are not recoverable.  I reinstalled the software wireless and ethernet.  Device Manager reports the wireless card and Ethernet work.  But I can't connect what either as utilities connection - windows and IBM are corrupt.

I d/l the 83cx71ww.exe and followed all the instructions.  I reinstalled sp3, hotkey upgrade, NET 4, upgrade of power management before you install the dial-up connection.  Now, when I boot the message I get is that ThinkVantage Access Connections will not work on this system.

Y at - it somewhere that I can d/l the original supplied with this laptop for connections, files card WiFi and Ethernet card?  The latest just will not work.

    Thank you

    Carl

Well, it's now a moot point.  Windows was all simply too altered by me and required a reinstall.  I just did.

    Thanks for watching all the.

  • Word of Suggestion not work - on-screen keyboard for Windows 8

I chose the option to use the word suggestions as I type in the settings of windows 8, but when you type on the keyboard on the screen, I get no results.  No suggestion is offered above the keyboard as I type.

I am missinterpreting that this function is supposed to do, or something wrong with my keyboard?

I am referring here to the new popup onscreen touch keyboard when using it in tablet mode.
    Thank you
    Miles

When you type on the keyboard on the screen, I get no results.  No suggestion is offered above the keyboard as I type.

"virtual keyboard" is ambiguous.   If you mean osk.exe the office window there is no suggestion in there.   They are given in the new touchpad (W8 replacement of the TIP of Tablet PC).    Hmm...  I've seen before, but now doesn't.   Maybe I trained my handwriting recognition, too well?   (I think that it can only display suggestions when I do a graphic error that he does not know how to guess correctly...)   And it just reminds me how incredibly frustrating is once I have some graphical errors to try to remedy.  Usually, I just give up, enter the text as it is and switch to a touch keyboard to correct typos it.  YMMV.
