  At my office, we used Shutterstock to get images. Recently, we got a few images to use for the models of the badge, and I have edited mass them in Bridge so that they will have similar keywords, and naming conventions. Now however, when I try to open specific files, the error here:

• problem with the network - connection for developers

  I use RAC Oracle 11 GR 2 on top of RH Linux (2 nodes).
  The cluster will be accessed by the application server (web application running on another Windows machine).
  
  I want to push the entire application (= users) via dedicated network traffic (non-public LAN) between the application server and database cluster. Call the network "internal public".
  (For info only, it's for the love of performance).
  
  This wouldn't be a problem if the developers do not need to connect directly to the database. But they need!
  
  Please, explain to me, if possible, the creation of network (and install clusterware/db) in order to allow:
  1. the traffic between the application server and cluster db (say in the subnet 192.168.0.0/24 and - "internal public")
  2. connect the developers on LAN this db (from subnet company public 10.154.40.0/24).
  
  Novel interconnection is the 3rd network but does not affect other networks so jump us here.
  And don't worry, I've got enough ethernet adapters.
  
  I understand that listeners will work on the given IP in / 1 /.
  But is there a way somehow LAN connections to transmit this subnet 'internal public' or something else...?

  Set the listener_networks parameter in the case to separate the two networks.

  You will have the problem of cross loadbalancing: it may happen that the developers of a network and are passed to the application of the user networks (which will fail, because address different network).

  You shouldn't create a bridge between an Internet connection and a network connection because it creates an affair not protected between your network and the Internet, which makes your network accessible to anyone on the Internet.  (NOTE: I do not think there is a way to bridge that gap in security even using 3rd party software - although I'm not certain about it at 100% and you can definitely look around for some software or harware which ensure your system.)  Personally, I would NEVER open a hole in my security - you may be subject to unauthorized access, malware, someone actually take control of your computer and lock out of her, adware, spyware, and all the other things that we to protect.  The Firewall will not help because the bridge gives them access through it.  Security software will not help because the network does not detect the intrusion as such.  Yet once, there may be some products that deal with situations of this kind, but I could not find.

  Here's the thing.  I don't know if it is possible to the wireless card.  In my view, that it must come from the wireless network.  If your computer is connected to the network wireless using this card, I think it will work as long as the networks can be.  For bridge work, the two networks be thanked somewhere where the bridge can be created (in my opinion, means that at least one computer must be able to see and access to both networks).  I guess that's the case here.

  I hope this helps.  Take the warning seriously.  You don't want to experience the potential consequences.

• How to activate the Internet connection on Windows Server 2003 is installed in the virtual machine in VMware Workstation 8?

  I have Windows Server 2003 is installed on a virtual machine in VMware Workstation 8. I need it to learn and practice the use of the Active Directory. I've also set up 3 Windows XP workstations connect to it, which means that they can communicate with Server 2003. What is lacking is the Internet connection on all of them. When I run ping 8.8.8.8 in one of these virtual machines, I get, 'Destination host unreachable.'

  I'm not sure, what if the problem comes from the settings in Windows or the settings of the virtual machine.

  Thank you, guys. I was finally able to put in place. It was quite an ordeal to deal with IP addresses and virtual networks. Here's how I did (in the screenshots) in case someone else needs it.

  (I also confess that it is perhaps one of the ways to implement. Maybe there is an easier way to do it with DHCP...)

  1. in your computer where is installed VMware Workstation 8 begin the "Virtual Network Editor." It is located in the folder of installation of VMware Workstation. And implement the network following (VMnet2 in my case):

  

  2 then in VMware Workstation itself in the virtual machine when Windows Server 2003 is installed set up two network as connections:

  This one is for external access to the Internet:

  

  And this one for intranet communications AD:

  

  3. then in the machine virtual de Windows Server 2003 set up what follows for two network adapters:

  Then, you need allow this connection to share:

  

  And then for the ad access to workstations (ensure that the static IP address is in the range specified in the virtual network over VMnet2 network editor). I've also set up DNS to 127.0.0.1 because I installed on this Windows 2003 DNS server:

  

  4. from the Windows 2003 VM try ping 8.8.8.8. It should work now.

  5. go to each workstation, in my case, Windows XP, each in its own virtual machine and set up the network in the VMware Workstation as follows:

  

  6. then in the virtual machine, configure the network connection for Windows XP workstation. Don't forget to assign a new static IP address for each workstation, which not coinside with IP of the domain (this IP address must come from the range specified in the virtual network over VMnet2 network editor):

  

  7. try first ping the domain, in my case ping 192.168.237.128. And then Internet, ping 8.8.8.8. The two should work!

  Continue with steps [5-7].

  This may occur if the print spooler requires other services, and these services are not running. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
   
  1. in Services, right-click on print spooler and then click Properties.
  
  2. click the Dependencies tab. The first box list all system services that must work for the print spooler start. These are dependencies.
  
  3 make a note of each service, click OK, and restart each service on which the print spooler is dependent, if the service is not already started. If a service is not started, right-click, click Properties, and then make sure that the startup type is automatic.
