(Redirected) thundebolt 3 or VGA/DVI/HDMI USB 3.0 adapter to

Last week I got a new XPS13 (9350) who has only a USB 3.0 lightning 3 and two ports. What type of adapter will work to connect this device to a projector, screen VGA or DVI or HDMI?

I've spent 40 minutes with and agent of Dell HYDSharma6-262211 which only * me autour and gave me solutions zero, then said he transferred me to customer service, left the cat and that's all.

Dell sales staff is extremely arrogant to get you to spend money, if the customer service can be just as eager to help with a simple question?

    You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

  • Need for DVI, HDMI on Satellite A300-15 b output

    My toshiba laptop Satellite A300-15 b has only a VGA and S-video out;
    It has an Ati Radeon HD 3650 512 MB graphics card that supports hdmi and dvi, FullHD;

    I know that dvi and hdmi are of better quality than vga, so how can I connect my laptop to the dvi and hdmi ports to get the full quality?

    I think as a limitation on the taken resolutions dynadock supported?
    There is the vga - dvi converters, are good? and how to get quality hdmi and give the hdmi output? thanx

    Hello

    I doubt you'd be able to get HD quality on external monitor using this laptop.
    As you say the book contains the outputs VGA and S-video.
    The s-video port allows you to connect a TV to the laptop computer and the VGA to connect the external monitor.

    But the two ports provide analog video signals. The DVI and HDMI are digital ports and it s not possible to convert the analog signal into a digital signal.

    Of course you can use some cards but are not converter and I doubt that these adapters would improve the video quality.

    I have connected my PC via DVI-> HDMI cable to the L2333.
    It works very well.

    However, how can I give audio to the TV via a my sound card output?
    My PC does not provide any audio over HDMI.

    I've tried the input SCART and the entrance (by component) audio cinch. No sound.

    Thank you!

    Thomas

    DVI provides only the video signal. The HDMI port provides both: video and audio.
    If you connect the TV to s for laptop DVI, audio port would not be transmitted.

    I guess you need connect s headphones Jack card or the audio output jack to a receiver hifi (av) to get the best sound. Or another possibility to connect to the computer is the use of DVI adapter component. Then, you should be able connect the computers taken DVI Component of televisions. The audio signal would be transmitted from the headphone jack of the computer to the TV's component audio L / R

  • Satellite A200 23W - no connection with the TV (VGA-DVI-tv)

    I tried to connect my SatelliteA200-23W with tv (DVI plug). Like cable, I had was dvi to dvi and my laptop has vga only (female) I got an adapter (VGA/DVI). After that I made the connection (my TV is also a Toshiba LCD 30 inch) and I used Fn + F5, with the channel setting DVI TV, I can't see or hear anything whatsoever!

    Any who tried to link its A Satellite with tv?
    Must say that I use Windows 7 edition.

    Hello

    To use the monitor external, you must plug the cable first. Then turn on the TV and choose the right channel on your TV. Next turn on the laptop and then you should be able to switch between monitors if you press FN + F5. Check it!

    Also, make sure that you use a high quality cable.

Is there a way to solve this problem, so we can use the adapters? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Output VGA or HDMI on Pavilion G6-1b60US

    Hello world

    I have a question been asked a hundred times before, namely: how to activate a VGA or HDMI output on a laptop outside of the Windows environment?

    The laptop in question is HP Pavilion G6-1b60us, and it has the AMD A4 processor - 3000 m with a build-in Ati Radeon HD 6480 G graphics card.

    The problem is that someone intervened on this laptop, while he was lying on the ground, and the screen is broken. So I used this laptop as a desktop, hung on a 19 "TFT monitor, and works very well.

    As a first step, I have had video output via HDMI outside Windows port. So, for example, I could get into the BIOS of this laptop using the external monitor.

    At one point, I reinstalled Windows from scratch (once again, it was very easy because the monitor worked great outside of Windows), and when I did that I also decided to update the BIOS.

    It was very stupid.

    I have updated BIOS to the F.46 F.34 version. Since I've updated the BIOS, I have a video on the external monitor output, while Windows starts. Once WIndows has loaded the external monitor works fine.

    The problem is that if I ever need to get into the BIOS, or reinstall Windows, I just can't do that, because the external monitor no longer works.

    So, I immediately flashed BIOS version F.46 F.34, but it does not work. I have still no video on the external monitor output, unless I'm on Windows.

    With the help of an another HP laptop I asked autour (a G42) I checked to see if there are options in the BIOS to enable VGA ouput. It doesn't seem to be an option. I'm not quite sure if the G42 and G6 use the same BIOS, but since they are both "Insyde", I suppose that the options are the same.

    On the laptop of G42 (that is running the version of BIOS F.36 which is not available for the G6), I can get it out of the BIOS on the external monitor by hooking a HDMI and VGA monitor. The BIOS will then produced through the VGA screen. (may be a bug in the BIOS, but good: if it works, it works...)

    I tried the same thing on the laptop G6, but unfortunately it does not work.

    So my question is: is anyone know how to exit the BIOS on an external monitor? And please don't tell me that it is not possible, because before I updated the BIOS on this laptop G6, I could access the BIOS on an external HDMI monitor very well. I just want to know how do I reactivate this option.

    Three things to try, but there is no guarantee that any of them will work.

    Unplug the adpater, remove the main battery and CMOS battery. If you need instructions on how to remove battery CMOS, post again.

    Now press and hold the power button for 60 seconds to do a hard reset.

    Reinstall the CMOS battery and plug the adpater and start _ your monitor. (do not install the main battery at this stage)

    If all goes well, you will be confronted to load the BIOS default _ select to do and once the computer boots be sure and reset the clock as Windows detects the wrong date and time and tell you that it is not authentic.

    There is a certain risk to that because if the BIOS is not displayed on the external screen there is no way to tell the machine to run the BIOS defaults. To do this at your own risk _ sorry.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Do a hard reset as above, but do not remove the CMOS battery, there is no risk involved here as you do not clear the BIOS settings.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Open the machine and simply unplug the laptop to physically unplug the motherboard monitor. Do a hard reset after that as above with remove them the CMOS battery with the external monitor is connected.

    I think that maybe after that put BIOS update that he always sees the monitor internal because it is always plugged into the motherboard even if the laptop screen is broken.

    There was a guy with a laptop HDX 18 where his monitor failed and he was trying to do the same thing you are. His solution was to unplug the laptop from the MoBo and then the BIOS I saw the external display.

  • Latitude 6430u - cannot simultaneously VGA and HDMI output

    We have just received our first batch of 25 Latitude 6430u (2 lots more on the way), and we were surprised that he doesn't at the same time a VGA and HDMI video output. GPU Intel HD4000 said that it should be possible. Someone successfully obtained several monitors working with this device? We lack Windows 8 Enterprise with Dell drivers.

    Sigh,

    It seems that the 6430u uses a LVDS connector instead of an eDP, so the Intel HD 4000 can't handle 3 independent displays. LAME.

  • Use of the USB to Ethernet adapter to find cRIO Systems

    Hi all

    I'm trying to connect to one OR cRIO-9066 to my laptop using USB-to-Ethernet adapter.  But I have a problem with it; Find VI systems shows no results unlike the direct connection via the ethernet port on the laptop.  I wish that the connection of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter to support this feature as well.  I would like to know if somebody did, and I hope a solution to this.

    Here's my setup. I bought the adapter USB-to-Ethernet of RadioShack. I connect the adapter to a USB port on my laptop. The adapter is the female Ethernet port on the other end. I directly connect cRIO and the adapter using a crossover ethernet cable. What is of note is that ethernet connection works.  I can specify the IP address of the cRIO then I can communicate with crio in the same configuration. However, finding systems VI cannot find any system.  LabVIEW 2015, is what I use.

    Instead of using the adapter, if I use a direct connection via the ethernet port on the laptop, find systems VI works fine.

    Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    After all, my conclusion to this problem has been the model of Ethernet USB card I was using was not good.

    Gigaware USB to adapter Ethernet (from Radio Shack) was working not with find systems VI on my environment even though it is still able to connect to CRIO if I know the IP address. I even had the other, but the result was the same.  The solution for me was to use another model of the BADGE, which is NS-PU98505. It is cheaper, but has worked with find systems VI.

    I don't know what's behind the different behaviour, but the issue is resolved on my end for now.

    Thank you all for all the tips and ideas. Congratulations to all!
