  You should check the DNS settings of your host on your account manager. Have one with the www prefix and a normal root area is two separate things, although most of the suppliers will automatically record both variants.   Seriously? By applying some basic SQL functions. Change the e-mail column in the query of an alias column and the SQL expression as

  substr(email, 1, instr(email, '@') - 1) email

  or, if you want to burn some CPU, a regular expression is another way to do it:

  regexp_substr(email, '^[^@]*') email

• Rookie here: I can't update the DNS where stands the domain name...

  Because of the e-mail the customer had set up with the domain provider and email that I have been informed that I cannot update the DNS without messing up the email. So I was in touch with them and they asked me for a registration number A, which they will add and it "will point" the domain name to Business Catalyst where the site is hosted.

  This all sounds great other that I don't know where to obtain registration from the site... I don't see where the ADD A Records... What I'm missing! Help, please

  Could you please confirm, you get the error message and either when adding domain in the file > export to HTML or file > download on FTP host option or if there is another place, you are referring to?

  I checked and the export and download of FTP options both accept accented characters in the domain name field.

  Your approach is correct, but there are a few details that need tweaking. Can take place inside VirtualHost. Have you enabled ability to host virtual by uncommentNameVirtualHost *:80 in httpd.conf?

  I have apparently successfully "gone live" by the transfer of my domain to GoDaddy.  Correctly, I can get directly, or by search engine.  Surprisingly, my made-up trial domain name always appears in at least one place--at the top of the content of the page the system 404 Page not found page.  I have not checked to see if it occurs with other pages in the system.

  The next page does not exist and properly raises the error 404:

  http://www.smartmedsavings.com/XYZ

  If you go to this page you will see "SmartGuyLearning" at the top of the page content.  It was my domain name to the stupid trial which should no longer be seen.

  I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how I could change it appears correctly.
