• How to move from head of reading a file in a file in multitrack view?

  I have the latest version of Audition CC 2015 for OS X (I'm on El Capitan) and I am trying to find a way to jump the playhead of a file into a file in multitrack view. Basically, I created a multitrack session of several files that are now on the same path, and I want to be able to move the playhead at the beginning of each clip, so I can add markers for some of them. I thought that perhaps the shortcut command + arrow right would be the ticket, because he says, it can move the playhead to 'the next selection edge', but it does not work. If I have a marker, command right indeedl take me to the next marker, but otherwise need me right at the end of the multitrack session, which is exactly what I need. • Pan Pot in multitrack view disappeared

  Hi all

  In multitrack view, my Pot Pan has disappeared. (see image). Before you suggest it, I did drag the bar sideways to the right to enlarge and it does not always show. When I click on the "Panoramic track" window, it opens a separate window and not the Pan Pot next to the volume control, where it is supposed to be. It's a mystery! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

  

  It's probably because you only have a Mono open session so panpots aren't relevant. Open a new session of stereo and they should reappear.

• Voice over recording change vs multitrack view

  Hi guys, need some advice here.

  I always taped voice-over in editing with Audition 3.0 (Windows 7 64-bit)

  Recently, I bought a Creative sound card (X - Fi Titanium HD) that sounds good and that records 24 / 96 kHz with excellent results using several different microphones, mainly an EV RE20.

  I have the main of my mixer left and right coming out using cables of 1/4 inch outputs and enter the audio card to the left and right inputs via RCA...

  In the audio hardware setup Auditions change the display, there is only a choice either to the left or right to the but not a mixture of the two as a starter. (aid to the left)

  Do not use the input on the card because I wanted to use the ins RCA (left/right) on the sound card and microphone input is a 1/8 input that would require another Y microphone cable 1/4 to 1/8 and the fact that I had issues with 1/8 entries before.

  Then, when I record the voiceover in the edit mode, I think I'm really only half of the signal (to the left) which means that I need to gain preamp more that I would get a good level.

  Recently, I have been recording in multitrack view using the 1-way left and right track 2 at the and then doing a mono mix that translates into a very pleasant without level to increase the gain a lot.

  So I guess my questions would be I'm actually saving half the signal change their view by simply using the left

  It's just a signal level - you actually lose anything. You can't actually say it is 'half' a signal - it is just a signal at a different level. And you can always get the audition level without loss by record or convert your signal in 32 bits (native format of the hearing) to floating point and it normalize to the level of what you want. When you have only a mono microphone - a track is all you need, there is absolutely no benefit to the recording of two tracks. As to how you save (MV or EV), well it is entirely up to you – that really suits you. The only notable difference is that EV record in a temporary file to be saved in a permanent file later and MV went directly to a file.

  Do you use a microphone preamp with your microphone if you use the entries in the? If you're not, you don't get something like the good structure with the card, such as a microphone does not what whether as enough signal to drive an entry to the correctly. It is a hardware problem, and not one that you can correct for with software, because it will significantly change the signal to noise ratio.

  This probably means that there is no audio signal to the left of the start of the element in the file that is used for this clip. The beginning of the clip is the beginning of the audio file.

  Well Yes.   Quite easy... it's kind of the ' bread and butter ' of multitrack work.

  First of all, in 'View' make sure there is a checkmark beside "Show Clip Volume envelopes.  You can also select envelopes for the functions Pan and effects in the same menu.  The usual default is for all these, but you'd better check.

  To use envelopes, find a thin yellow line about 2/3 of the way to the top of the screen of each waveform in multitrack view.  It is the volume control.  If you left click on it and you hold, you can drag the top line down to set a global level.  Use the "Move" tool to do... If you zoom out on a track, it can be difficult to see when the point is on the line, but, when you're in the right place, a box saying "Volume" will pop up.

  However, the most interesting is their use to make changes on the fly.  To cela a simple click on the line about where you want the change of level to start.  This will give you a little yellow marker on the line of the envelope.  Click again on a little later for a second marker.  Click and hold on the marker and you can drag it upwards and up to levels of change..., you can also drag left and right to change the points of beginning/end/length of the fade.  You can also drop markers multiple if you want to change the ballistics of the level change... start and end quickly or whatever.

  Note that you can use the same technique to change the settings of the tray or how much effect is on a track.

• Audition Audio 'Split function' does not?

  Have no idea why, but on my old Adobe audition 3.0 version (which works perfectly), when I go to multitrack view and want to change a track - requiring the split function - it does not work.   I pull up the menu and 'split' is one of the options (normal) - then I left click on the position where I want to change the audio track.  (normal)  THEN, when I use the right click and HOLD function on the mouse to "drag" the piece of splitting the audio down in another (normal) track, now it does not work - nothing happens.   Our here does he know why it can happen?  Very frustrated.  Is there a secondary way, I can try to 'split' or separate and 'move' the play published audio... when done, I then MIX again...

  For the record - I CAN cut section and paste it into another track, but I can't MOVE the tracj with my my right click on the mouse.

  You have the right hybrid tool, selected from among the four tool icons in the menu bar? You don't do a right-click and drag if you have the choice of time or scrub tool selected.

• Viewing live Canon 50 d does not record

  I tried but I can't seem to find the answer. I have a Canon 50 d, I have attached to a telescope. It works great for photos. I want to take videos, so I plugged my laptop (Macbook) for my camera to use the Live View function. Live View mode to open and view what the camera sees. I will open the shutter and the image is displayed on my compture. I can capture pictures of what I see. I cant just recorded video. All the positions that I've seen or video when the person arrives at the record part there is a record button at the bottom left and the side of the window, mine doesn't have this option. any help would be great thanks.
