reduce consumption of ink in pixma mx 922

regarding the purchase of mx 922, is there a "save ink" or "draft" setting to reduce ink consumption?  What is the option "fast"?

Hello.

Using the option 'fast' will reduce the amount of ink used to print.  This will help keep your ink when printing.

    Hi, EAP,.

Try to load the paper in the lower cassette.  Remember that your printer has two tapes before.  A superior tape is used for photo paper or specialty, while the lower tray is used for standard size paper, like the MP-101.

  • Reduce consumption of battery motion and automatic brightness

Hi, I would like to know some things.

First: activation reduce motion put on iPhone save the battery life since perspective wallpapers are being turned off when the low power Mode is on?

Second: Automatic Rotation of the brightness to the wide and holding the brightness at Midway to consume less energy than to have automatic brightness, allowing the iPhone to constantly check our environment and adjust the brightness?

    Thank you!

To the first question, while I can't tell you with certainty, yes reducing motion should keep a battery life.

To the second question, it depends. If automatic brightness is to keep the phone on a higher setting to half way then it would be. If A - B fits between a minimum and a high level, then probably not. I keep A - B on all the time and I have no problem with the battery life, but if I'm outside it would be a trade off between being able to read the screen and save battery.

  • consumption of ink photosmart Premium C309a

I had the photosmart premium C309a less than 2 weeks and have printed a simple 110 only 7-8 pages were color photos (about 3/4 page, i-photo contact sheet option) and had to replace yellow ink already, more magenta and black are 5% and cyan is 50%.  Like the quality (has a printer hp 6100 series before) but it's this machine is going to be a Turkey of ink?  XL cartridges really doubling the volume of printing and color combo packs available in XL (only 564 Black XL seems available on the website of hp offer)?

Hi, the ink cartridges supplied with the printer in the box will be run much faster than normal cartridges. and also, XL cartridges usually have 3 times more ink compared to a regular size cartridge.

  • How to reduce consumption of Essbase log file disk space?

Due to some problems, we must keep the Essbase application at the INFO level log to trace a special message. However, we can not control the size of the log file and the use of these log files from the disk.

We found that there is some configuration settings that can control the maximum file size of each log file:

    AGTMAXLOGFILESIZE
    APPMAXLOGFILESIZE

However we can not yet found a good setting that may limit the maximum use of disc, or the mechanism of rotation of newspapers to recycle the log file or we will say that we must keep the 5GB log file in the log 5 and recycle when the log file is full.

As Glen has rightly pointed out, you can create a routine that runs according to a schedule.

In the past, I wrote apps/scripts that check the size of the logs for each application, if it exceeds the set limit, copy of newspaper, zips the newspaper, then removes the log (essbase command, not just a delete because there is a lock on the file)

This routine can be written in several languages.

    See you soon

  • Battery ThinkPad E455 reduced capacity when it is connected to an electrical outlet

Recently, I have a problem with my E455 ThinkPad I bought two months ago (see https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/11e-Windows-E-and-Edge-series/ThinkPad-E455-Excessive-Battery-Drains-Wh... This problem has been resolved by updating the version of the BIOS to the latest one (BIOS 1.15).

However, another problem occurs. When I was using my ThinkPad for games, the battery capacity is reduced when the laptop is connected to an electrical outlet (as described by 7 times lenovo and windows battery gauges). In the power manager, I took my battery to start charging when the battery is less than 80%. During the game (with AC is on), the battery level is reduced to 1% in a few minutes. The power manager, the State of the battery indicates 'No activity' (no discharge or load). In the windows battery meter, battery indicator says "plugged in, but do not load" (which is normal with respect to the threshold of loading).

Why this condition occurs? I mean, the AC is plugged in, but the battery capacity is reduced.

Lenovo laptops (and also those of other manufacturers) are provided with the smallest possible adapters to reduce consumption of energy and cost.

When your laptop is working, as when you play a game, it will take far more power supply can provide. In these circumstances, the battery provides a big boost for the short time that the extra power is needed. Hybrid cars work the same way.

Lenovo power with higher power adapters are readily available, I recently bought a 65W for our E555 which was provided with a 45W power adapter.

If you know that you will regularly use the laptop to play games and you don't want to use your battery to provide power increased, just to get a genuine Lenovo PSU with a higher power...

  • which uses less ink, best quick scratch paper or photo paper.

Which uses less ink, best quick scratch paper or photo paper.  I don't mean quality, a little less of ink used.  I also used photo paper, then selected the fast project of plain paper.  Not great quality, as expected, but always looking to use less ink.  My guess is that the paper uses more because it is more porous. My printer is a hp Deskjet 2050.  My OS is 64-bit Intel Core I-7-2670 QM.

    Thanks for any help

    emt1d

Plain paper settings use less ink, inkjet paper selection will use more and photo paper will use the most.  Draft mode uses generally about half Normal or best mode ink.  Normal and best modes use about the same amount of ink (although best mode takes more time to print and passes).

There are a few other considerations to minimize consumption of ink:

    • Don't run don't not cleaning cycles from the Toolbox unless needed (rarely).  Beyond the normal start and stop of ink cleaning cycles use cycles and shortens the life of supply and the printer.
    • Always keep the printer plugged in to an outlet.  Using an external symbol tilt like a switch taken or master switch will cause the printer to use more ink at startup.  It can also leave the printheads to be left not clipped, allowing them to dry out.
  • HP Officejet 8600 8600 vs. more - what are the main differences?

We currently have a Canon Pixma MP-480 & he served us very well for about 4 years, but now I have to find a new.  I've been looking at HP as I understand it the price for consumption of ink is low etc..  Is currently seeking to HP Officejet Pro 8600, I didn't know that there was? versions of 8600 etc..  Can someone tell me what the main differences are (except the price of course).  I tried to read several of the reviews & the pros & cons were everywhere in the room.  Most seem quite happy & some certainly were not.  I have a laptop HP & am very happy with it.

One of the concerns was that we could not send the scanner?  Our old printer, we choose e-mail via our computer on the screen to send something in our scanner?

Another issue was auto 'duplex' etc.  I understand this means printing 2 sides, but beyond that, I wasn't sure what each of the 8600 printers did or did not.  Could someone explain this part of it, please.

  • Ubuntu 9.04 on NB100

I have rather a complex network here and tried to get the version of Ubuntu 8.04 to work with it without total success. Everything was healed by installing remix 9.04 from a USB key, and the machine now works fine apart from the following problems.

    1. the activities feature keys do not work. Those relating to his show the on-screen display following the keys correctly, but they do nothing. With other things like the wireless is is more controlled by the forces nouvelles or disable keys and nor is there any screen.

    2. I'm not sure about the power management or the mode control fan or processor (not sure if it has reduced consumption). The system log contains messages such as "ACPI: unable to turn cooling device.

If it's a Windows system, I would look on the Toshiba site for drivers related to power management and keyboard, but there doesn't seem to be much in the section Ubunto download area, and likely he would bring on the Hardy version rather than this flippant one.

Y at - it no guidance anywhere on how to proceed?

I also installed 9.04. Works almost perfectly. See also here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport/Machines/Netbooks
Fan-controll works, but the symbol does not appear on the screen. Other function keys work: sound, sound on / off, brightness... Skype works (micro and cam).
A question I have is that the symbol of a USB key mounted, allowing you to take it apart,
is not displayed on the desktop of remix. Another that the nautilus window is not maximized automatically.
I'm always pass between 8.04 original and 9.04.

  • 360 13 inches x spectrum: spectrum x 360 8.1 Windows stops to get into sleep after a few hours

My x 360 spectrum stops to get into sleep after a few hours of normal behavior.  In other words, when the computer is started first, he put on standby and Hibernate mode then normally after the specified idle period.  It can then be woken up and work normally and then to go back to sleep after inactivity - during a few hours.  It stops working after the computer has been for a few hours.  I don't know exactly how much time must be in place before this problem starts, but once it ceases to be able to sleep, the only way to solve the problem is to reboot the system.  Once the problem occurs, the computer turns off the screen but that's it.  He will sleep if I do it manually by pressing the button of power or a click on the Windows button and forcing them to sleep or hibernation.

I watched powercfg /requests and there is nothing listed that could prevent sleep.  I ran also report with fluo compact powercfg and it also does not list something that prevents apparent sleep.

NOTE: The energy report is also EVEN if the system still works correctly.

I could use help to determine what is the cause of this condition.

I found a thread on Microsoft answers community web site.  Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has not fixed even though this thread is over a year.  This has been driving me crazy.  In any case, the problem is with Windows 8.1 and is caused by the use of a Microsoft account to connect to the computer.  If the account is not connected, after a few hours the computer stops to fall asleep.  If you close the MS account, then the computer will sleep normally.  My dose is to convert my connection from the local computer to a local account and disconnect from Microsoft.  This process is easy to do, go into the settings of PC and disconnect the account.  It will keep your original profile.

Here is the link to the thread that got clued in the solution:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-performance/Windows-81-refuses-to-sleep-automatically-idle/6ab4aaaf-31bd-4baf-ABC6-62ba8c8260aa?DB=5&page=2&rtAction=1452178632575

I consider this resolved issue that HP is concerned.  Microsoft needs to address the issue.  I'm not interested in switching to Windows 10 for compatibility reasons and, in this regard, the same problem can exist in the W10.

I have a photosmart B110 installed in a cottage. Sometimes ago 3-4 weeks between the cottage is used. I should mention that when absent, we keep constant temperature of 10 ° C. When we go back and use the B110, often by a cleaning of the nozzles on both levels. We also face too fast consumption of ink. What is the best way to store the cartridges when we are absent? Hot, cold, dry air?

    Hello Huulgaard,

I understand that you are interested in best practices for the storage of your HP ink cartridges. To answer your question, it is recommended to keep the ink cartridges, sealed in its original packaging until they are installed. Store at temperatures between-15 and 35 degrees Celsius (5 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit).

Please take a look at storage open cartridges and print heads, even though HP recommends that all cartridges are still sealed in the original packaging until they are installed, this will help you make the most of your cartridges when they are open and do not use it.

I hope this has been helpful, please let me know if you need more help.

    Thank you

  • MX922 Scanner has stopped working all of a sudden.

I have a Canon PIXMA MX-922 and the scanner has stopped working (right in the middle of something important). It worked fine for two years, now it's kaput. It prints well on USB.

I googled this and see a lot of similar questions but nothing I tried works. I have re-installed the software from scratch, and the printer works again, but not the scanner.

When I run the scan of the machine, it says "Processing, please wait momentarily", then simply, it stops and distillers he make fun of me...

When I go to the computer, it starts up fine, sucking the document in the scanner, then it breaks down.

    Hi williampeck1958,

To see if the scanner can scan all of the computer, I would like you try and scan from the Microsoft Paint program.  To try to scan from Microsoft Paint, follow these steps:

    1. go into your START Menu, select all PROGRAMS, then ACCESSORIES, then MICROSOFT PAINT.

    2. Once inside the paint, in the upper left corner you will see a blue square. Please click on this and select FROM SCANNER or DIGITAL camera. A window will appear asking you what device you want to use. Please select the PIXMA MX922, and then press the OK button.

    3. in the next window, you must have the ability to select a type of document; Please select one, and then press the SCAN in window.

Have you been able to properly analyze using Microsoft Paint?  In addition, you are able to make a copy directly from the unit successfully?

If it is a question of time-sensitive, additional support options are available to contact us.

  • Atrix on 200 MB data plan

I am looking for a way to reduce the use of my data. I'm only using an email account and deleted all the widgets and facebook. I just installed the My Data Manager application and I noticed that what we call the RICH CLIPBOARD is what is using most of my data. Does anyone know what it is and how to stop or reduce consumption?

    Thank you

From what I remember - enabled database apps can use the stream, even when they are not on your screen right now. Yes Facebook app, for example - when it is opened, it will work. When you minimize it, or switch to a different application, it always queries the updates. If you disable the database, which will be stop.

It will certainly reduce the amount of data you are using, but it will also affect the possibility for you to receive updates, emails, etc.

You can always try to see if you can live with the restrictions it imposes.

I know it's a popular tool for monitoring the use if you want to follow one week with these options enabled/disabled:
