Reduce the opacity of a layer, then export as .png

Hi all. I would like to create a script (I don't think I can do it in the form of action) in order to reduce the opacity of a layer of 3%, and export the file as a .png. Is this possible? I saw where it would be possible to define a finite number, or 97%, then export, but I hoped that there could be a chance to write one this way. Any help is welcome. I created before but never the scripts of Ps actions.

var d = activeDocument
var r = d.activeLayer
var op = Math.round (r.opacity)-3
r.opacity = op
alert(op)

  • When you reduce the opacity of a layer at the top of page how do you keep a bottom layer of shine through?

    I have two objects intersecting each other on different layers. The object on the top layer, so I reduced the opacity and the bottom layer which has been previously hidden now shines through. I don't want to do. I want the bottom layer to stay hidden under the top layer despite lowered opacity. How would I accompish this simply? I have CS2.

    Thanks for any help with this...

    Hello jack.

    The way I would do is to copy the 'image' on a separate layer, select, make a solid white, it stop the lower layer to shine through.

    Then put the original image on a different layer separated with its opacity, pass over the layer solid white image.

    Hope that makes sense.

  • How to reduce the size of Indesign documents PDF export?

    I wonder if there is a way for Indesign reduce the size of page of a multiple page document?

    I have a 38 page book that has a page size of 9 "x 8"... so the spread size is 9 "x 16".

    I want this in order to reduce the size of the exported PDF file.

    So if there is a way to reduce the size of PDF, that would work too.

    I looked everywhere but could not find a function that allows you to reformat and save this document to a 50 percent reduction, for example.

    Is there such a feature with Indesign on CS1? (or one of the more recent versions CS?)

    Currently the smallest PDF I can export this document is 8 MB. (it contains a lot of graphics)

    I want to get that figure up to 3 MB or more.

    I have the dpi all reduced to 72 dpi... which has helped to reduce the PDF of the original 58 MB.

    But how is it possible to make it even smaller for emailing?

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    And in the process you'll find yourself with a flattened PDF. If you send to a client for proofing, be prepared to explain that these ugly white lines in all directions does not print it. And when they print to a desktop printer and print some lines, you'll have a problem of real credibility on your hands.

    Just a warning.

  • How can I add a gradient to the opacity of a layer in after effects CC2014?

    I'm looking to create a simple through a map gradient such that the left of the map is transparent and the right is opaque. Any help is appreciated.

  • How do I delay the opacity after another layer

    Hi all.

    I have 100 + layers I want to fade on deferred after keyframes manual opacity defined in a layer of "master". Thus, each layer 100 + will fade gradually over by half a second - after the layer 'master' has faded.

    My research led me to this expression:

    thisComp.layer("leader").transform.opacity.valueAtTime (time - thisComp.frameDuration)

    However the above fades in all segments of 100 + at the same time. I would like to than the layers to fade in one by one.

    Can someone suggest the script to make this happen please?

    Assuming that the head layer is battery #1, something like this should work:

    delay = * thisComp.frameDuration (index-1);

    thisComp.layer("leader").transform.opacity.valueAtTime (time-delay);

    This will give layer 2 time frame 1, layer 3, a 2-frame time, etc. If you want to increase the differential interval to say, 3 images, you could just change the first line to:

    delay = 3 *(index-1) * thisComp.frameDuration;

  • Script: A single layer to set the opacity of the other layers?

    Hello

    I have a lot of layers in my computer whose name begins with "POINTER_".

    I need these layers to falter at the same time.

    But I can't the subcomp or use stencil alpha.

    I don't know that it is possible to make a script on an adjustment layer that would do just that.

    All he needs to do is to allow me to make keyframes this adjustment layer opacity associated then with the opacity of each layer starting by 'POINTER_ '.

    I'm not a guy of script, so it would be great if someone could show me how to do this.

    Thank you very much!

    see you soon,

    Chris

    You don't need a script to do this; you need an expression.

    You can easily bind properties between layers with expressions. In this case, you apply an effect cursor Expression to your layer zero (or just use the property opacity of an adjustment layer). ALT-click on the opacity for one of your layers property then use the pick whip to choose cursor effect or the property opacity of your layer of control. Now, when you change the value of a single layer, the others follow. You can copy and paste the expression resulting from your icon from selection for the other layers. (You can even choose to copy expression only and then paste that to the rest of the layers).

  • Poor quality by reducing the size of the raster layer

    When reducing the size of a layer of the image, I see a very different quality between the raster layers and dynamic object regular.

    See this image for an example:

    Both versions of the image have been resized after duplicating the layer source.

    They were then resized to 20% of their original size.

    In the top example, the layer has been resized immediately after being duplicated.

    In the bottom example layer has converted into a smart object before resizing.

    You will notice the superior version of the image shows artifacts much more than the background.

    The quality of the reduction in size of raster layer also seems to have deteriorated since CS5.

    I use the bicubic setting in Preferences > General > Interpolation of the Image.

    This option around switching makes very little difference.

    Does anyone have insight into this?

    Others see the same phenomenon?

    Thank you

    CS6, like CS5, the resampling method during the transformation of a dynamic object is that which is defined in preferences > General. However, unlike the CS5, CS6 has a setting independent resampling in the Options bar when a raster layer turns. Looks like you were the closest neighbour selected it.

  • The challenge to reduce the size of the PDF file export

    Hi, I recently spent from Quark to InDesign and can't find out how to reduce the size of a PDF file export.

    The file has about 200 pages with about 300 files EPS, which are about 30-40K each. The file uses less than 10 fonts, all from two families of fonts (Bembo Std and Std universe). When I created a similar to Quark file, the exported PDF file is ~ 5MG. However, when I export the file in InDesign, I created, the PDF file is 10xs more large (~ 50MG). I tried to export using the parameters of quality of printing and smaller file size, but the result was the same. (I think it's because there is no images to be compressed JPG, just files that are already tiny vector).

    If you have any suggestions for other settings check, I would be grateful for the help. Overall, other than this issue, I was very happy with InDesign.

    I'm using CS5, v 7.0.4 on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard 10.6.8)

    Thank you

    SH

    Oh yeh I thought I covered that - oops left a little.

    http://InDesignSecrets.com/Creating-smaller-PDFs-from-a-vector-dense-book.php

    It has a pretty cool thing here by using the flattener to convert vector to raster graphics.

    If you need help then just ask.

    If it's just for people online, then the vector graphics could be better as raster for online application.

  • Animate the opacity of the layer with the expression of the music on / off?

    Hi all

    I seek to animate the opacity of a layer according to an Audio Amplitude of entry. For example, when a kick in the song occurs with a value of 50 slider I want the active layer and stay until a kick from value 50 turns.

    This is what I currently use but it shuts down after reaching the value. Is it possible to write an expression that connects it to a checkbox control?

    Music = thisComp.Layer ("audio amplitude"). Effect ("the two Channels")("Slider");

    Linear (Music, 45, 70, 0, 200)

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    -Sean Bradord

    This was the solution:

    Use the BPM here counter:

    http://www.Motionscript.com/design-guide/audio-count.html

    but replace the last line with this:

    If (n %2) 100 0 otherwise)

    Thank you

    Martin

    I've selected all the objects at the top of the page and click on the little circle thing circle in the layers palette and then adjust the opacity and it seems to work very well.

    It's because you have now applied the transparency of a layer setting. (When you clicked on the Meatball, you targeted layer, no not objects).

    You could have done the same thing by bringing TOGETHER actually what you call 'a group of objects' and by applying the transparency to the group setting, instead of to individual objects. (See why it is important to try to talk in terms of the program?)

    Always have the appearance Palette open so that you can always keep your eye on what Illustrator called the current selection. It will help you avoid a lot of confusion if you keep in mind, what kind of object (Path, group, layer) said Illustrator is selected.

  • I can lower the opacity of the mask?

    I am trying to find a way to reduce the opacity of the mask. I think that I would go to the mask in the layers palette, lower the opacity here. But that lowers the opacity of the layer, not the mask. I tried to find an answer online, but all the get is how to layer masks.

    Is it possible to adjust the opacity of a layer mask? Thank you!

    Julie

    Right click on the layer mask and select mask options

    increase or decrease the density slider

    I have the text in white (color of paper) placed above a picture, I would like to reduce the opacity of the text so you can see some of the image showing through.

  • Change the opacity in an adjustment layer, assign a video track

    First Pro CS6

    Hello

    I have a sequence of images in a video track which creates an animation and I added a ultra key effect to remove the background of each image one by one (not sure if there is a better way to do so but anyway). Now, I want to present this animation slowly with a change of opacity, but I can't seem to make it work. I tried to add an adjustment layer and change the opacity, but it did not work, I want to just change the opacity of this animation, not the other track video as well. So I added an effect of transformation for the adjustment layer. I set the opacity in this transformative effect in this adjustment layer, but I can't make this work or the other.

    I tried to export the animation in a separate file so that I can take to my project as a clip, but I'm a little lost as to what type of file to export. I tried a file AAF but which did not load in my main project at all well and I had to force the Organization to close.

    Thank you.

    Make your animation to its own sequence.

    Then bring this sequence into the SEQUENCE to CHANGE.  (a nest)

  • Need to reduce the pictures - Export PDF too big

    Hello

    I am currently working on a portfolio of development on Indesign that has 50 + photos originally on my iPhone.

    On the package and looking at the PDF, the file is too large which I suppose is all attached images.

    Is it possible to decrease automatically the size of the image file in Indesign or should I resize them in Photoshop, and then place them in the Indesign document?

    See you soon.

    Export your files Indesign in Adobe PDF (Interactive) and in the Interactive dialog box, select general > Pages > check the Pages radio button and select "Compress", now in the defined Image Compression JPEG quality: "Max, high, medium, low, Minimum."

    It will help you reduce the size of the pdf file.

    Thank you

    How to import of existing. FLA files for versions previous of FLASH in the latest version of FLASH and then export to a FILE that is HTML5 and visible on IPAD?

    Previous version of Flash & Dreamweaver (Macromedia 8)
    Current version of Flash & Dreamweaver (Adobe Flash Professional CC & CC professional Dreamweaver)

    Previously, you must create a FLA SWF export and then put in a layer in DREAMWEAVER

    However the SWF does not work on IPAD, IPHONE etc...

    so, what is the process to convert previous FLA files?

    or create new files in Dreamweaver? I mean that it must be the correct standard OPPS of today?
