Reduce the size of the form when the optimizer is

With the help of Acrobat DC Pro.

I have a client who was 468kb PDF.  I added all required form fields and he grew to 4.9 MB!  I ran the optimizer and then the listener and he says that 90% of the font size.  So I tried desincorporation all fonts, but the file is still 4.2 MB.  When I check the optimizer once again, it shows no built-in fonts, but again the audit always indicates that 90% of the file size is font.

I tried the chat support.  They suggested print in PDF format, making it a new PDF.  But the new file does not have the form fields, which did not help.  Big cat said 'Sorry' agent, he had nothing else to do...

So... what to do?  It is an online form, it is not usable to 4 + MB in size.  How can I get that extra small?  Previous versions of these forms (made with Acro 9) were in the order of 500kb.  And why the difference with what the optimizer and verification are saying about fonts?

Thank you

What you probably did was use some non-base-14 fonts in one or more of the fields. Base-14 fonts are Times, Helvetica, Courier, and a few others and include their variants bold, italics, etc.. These fonts (or adequate replacements) are integrated into Acrobat/Reader, so they do not need to be incorporated into the document. When you use a font non-base-14, Acrobat incorporates the entire in the PDF file police so that all the characters will be available when the time comes to enter text in the fields. The problem is that if you're using the built-in fonts, Acrobat does not remove the font data in the file. I reported this as a bug, but it has not been set. What you can do:

Start with a fresh PDF without all the form fields and copy the old to the new PDF form fields, but make sure that all fonts field are on Helvetica, Times, or Courier (whatever it is the fonts in the highest group in the drop-down list of fonts) before that.

If you have the right tools and you know what you're doing, hack the unused file PDF in order to remove the reference to the police so that the fonts will be deleted when you perform a save as with Acrobat.

  • Reduce the size/resolution of the image but will then return to the former size when click ok

    Hello

    Hope this finds you well.

I'm trying to reduce the size of an image to get the height according to a specific size (360 px) because it's the height of the container it will sit on the web.

    I learned to:

    -go to image/image size

-Be sure to re - sample image is disabled

-change the units of the size of the document to points

    -Enter the new height

-then check out re - sample image

-Enter the final resolution to 72 (it was 183 front)

-Uncheck resample image and click ok

I followed these instructions and except for once (which I can't do redo) the image will return to its original size after the last step to uncheck image re-snack.

No idea as to what could happen and how can I solve it?

I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing back from you soon.

    Thank you!

You don't need to keep check / uncheck resample image.

Leave resample image checked and enter the size in pixels in the pixel Dimensions section. Enter the resolution box - which should be 72.

  • How to reduce the size of the file when editing in Photoshop - then back to Lightroom

Sometimes I like to edit photos from Lightroom in Photoshop then re - record return to Lightroom, my pictures are of the Nikon Nef raw and they come usually in about 24 MB and it's ok. The problem is when I change in LR to PS - Photoshop transforms the image into a Tiff file and I have some pictures to nearly 400 MB being imported to LR, I merge layers, and flatten the image etc then go to file and then save and I can't reduce them. Y at - it an easy way to convert the final image to a Tiff NEF file with just a click of mouse, thank you very much I'm new on this and find nice software to use all the ideas please.

Another thing to consider is that you can change your Lightroom preferences to save TIF 8-bit images. This would significantly reduce the size of these files.

  • How can I reduce the size of the file when you save a psd in pdf format

I have a psd with graphics and text, it is 8.5 x 11, 300 dpi

I flatten the image and go to save as .pdf file I uncheck all options in general.

Compression, I tried a dozen different combinations and the way I found to get a document that is not pixelated or blurred is to use JPEG 2000 > lossless or jpeg > maximum.

So I have a document of high quality but the file sizes are approximately 900 KB.

I downloaded the documents of others of the exact same type and size (8.5 x 11, 300 dpi) that I have seen in Photoshop, they aren't pixelated or blurred and their file sizes are 300 KB or even less than 200 KB

    How do do that?

    Delete all layers used, invisible.

Zip compression is sometimes better than the jpg compression (in the pdf output settings). Zip is lossless and it works best with a color not degraded or not images.

Flatten the image before saving it to pdf format can reduce the size of the file, if you use the jpg compression.

See a preview of your pdf file and we can comment further on how to reduce the size of the file.

  • How to reduce the size of a PDF file without loss of sharp graphics

Hi, I work in Acrobat X Pro.  I have combined a graphics file and need to reduce the size.  Original graphics were created in PScs6 and recorded in the form of .jpg.  What would be the best way to reduce the size of the PDF file and while now the clarity of graphics?  Advice would be appreciated.

When you deal with graphics, you're talking almost always reduce the resolution or color depth. Much depends on the graphics themselves. You might check one of the graphs and see what are the colors and resolution. The setting of 300 dpi is fine in most cases, unless you are wanting people to zoom. For many applications, a color depth of 256 is good rather than millions of colors. If these are acceptable options, remember that your graphics card is defined in this way. You can try the option optimize to see if you can improve the size and still have sufficient resolution (file > save as > optimize PDF).

  • Reduced block size but no big change on the disk storage

    Hi all

This is my first post on this forum and I hope that I won't have any rule of Recommendation to report a question completely distinguish...

I need your advice on the disk storage of a BSO cube, here are the details:

Make tests on a cube of OSI, I reduced the size of the block of 76 032' to 11'232 bytes. Then, I was interested to check if the disk storage has been reduced... So, I took the same set of data and loaded into the old structure as well as in the new structure. For both structures, I have applied exactly the same calc script + has not changed any other settings (such as "cache" for example).

When I checked the results, I was really surprised because with the same set of data, it must 13go to the old structure and still 10 GB for the new even if the size of the block is really small... I've heard that "compression" could play a role here, but except for the compression, you have an idea of the reason why the disk storage is not smaller whith the new block size?

Thanks in advance for your different tips and best regards,
    Laurent
P.S: the density is not very good because I tried to do tests on a smaller data set than the real...

^ ^ ^ You just stated that all of the data is not representative and is actually smaller than reality. So that means you load (approximately) the same set of data in large blocks and small blocks. Guess what happens when it is compressed...

To answer your question, the real test would be, for a number of limited but representative of blocks (good luck with that one), blocks of size reduced and complete tests. That will give you real world block size.

BTW, I'm guessing / hoping that you did all members of dense upper level dynamics. There is almost never (well, sometimes, but really very rarely) a reason to store the dense upper limbs at level. A large part of the time forms dense member of lower level can also be set to dynamic.

  • Reduce the size of the PDF file after extending player features.

When you create dynamic PDF form in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.x, the size of the file is < 200K. At the opening in Acrobat 9 Pro and extending to the Acrobat Reader, the file size > 1.2 MB. Is it possible to reduce the size of the file?

    Thank you!

  • Reduce the size of pdf

    Hello

We have a pdf form, which has almost doubled in size (from 867 051 B to 1 337 351) when I just open it with the Designer (tested on 8.2 and 9.0) and save it again without modification under different name.

You have an idea, which could be a problem?

The original pdf was created by Designer 9.0

I'm saving a dynamic XML form, the original pdf should be also dynamic XML form ([form properties-> compatibility-> form Type] says "Dynamic XML form").

I unfortunately can't post pdf publicly.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hello

Open the PDF file in the designer. Go to file > properties > Save Options and uncheck all the boxes, save and close.  That will reduce the size of the file. Embed fonts and tags cause the PDF to be so great. Unfortunately you can not change this once so that it can be done on all forms of your future, you need to do whenever you save a new PDF.

  • How to stop reducing the size to straighten photos?

Opening has been really great for the recovery of the photos. I understand how to do this in pictures, but my problem is it strongly seems to reduce the size of the photo. Opening did not do that; It simply reduced all that has been cropped in smoothing. However, Photo reduces the overall size of the picture when recording far beyond what has been slightly cropped.

Is there a way to avoid this?
    To give.

Thanks for any help you might be able

Straightening (obviously) to crop the image - change the in = size of mage - beyond that, there is no loss, as all changes to Photos - why do you think that the image goes beyond the necessary culture?

  • How can I reduce the size of a file of numbers?

I have a file that is too big to 650 MB. It is mostly text. I found 1 sheet which is "inflated".  I tried to copy/paste the columns in a new file, but it ends with lines and additional columns that I copied! It seems to me that if I could have something in layers? How can I reduce the size of the file.

If it's really just the text that seems really strange.  I repeat what you have already done, copy items to a tim in a new file, and then save after each copy and monitor the size of files.  When you see the file size jump exceptionally fast, do NOT save the new file, and focus on the issue.  What are the benefits?  You paste images into a table as a background fill?

If you did and you want photos, try to reduce the size of the file by using the menu item "file > advanced > reduce file size...» » :

I would like to be able to reduce the size of a photo in Photo Mac or Photoscape 6 MB to 800 KB. Before I could do this in Picasa when I exported photo.

If change you a file standard .jpg you can reduce 'quality' option to reduce his smaller size. You can use the shareware, GraphicConverter for this application. You may also be able to do in the Photos when you export the image. Overview, may be able too, but I have not used for this purpose.

If you want unusable space: right click at the right end of the address bar. Click Customize. Drag the icon of 'Space' where you want the space. Repeat as many times as necessary. (To cancel, drag the spaces to whence they came.)
