Reference color changed by Illustrator problem

Hello, I'm on CC2015 Illustrator on Mac, printing to pay I'm working on a CMYK file and my problem is that illustrator does not keep the reference of the color that I setting in the color selection window. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome, db.

Changes in STL/RGB/Hex values are very small, so I think there is no need to worry.

  • Color change of values between Illustrator and InDesign

I have googled and looked here for an answer to my question, but have not been able to find anything.

I designed several pieces of encumbered asset, all using the same unique color. Some of the pieces I designed in Illustrator and the other in InDesign.

The problem is, when I copy and paste the yellow color value (if it is RGB or CMYK - I tried both ways), it CHANGES between Illustrator and InDesign. The color stays the same between Illustrator documents, but if I C + P InDesign - or vice versa-, the color value change literally before my eyes. And I don't want to say 'looks like' different, real changes in number.

    Here's a real example:

Call a box in Illustrator and chose the color #f8f1e0 / 2% 3% 12% 0%. Call a box in InDesign, C + P had the values of color in there, and it DID change the color appropriate for a moment. You click OK. Click New in the color picker and color is now #f8f1e1 / 2% 3% 11% 0%.

If it is relevant, it seems that the color will change to a slightly darker every time.

And Yes, the two documents has STARTED OUT as CMYK documents and stayed like that. I also have my color sync via Bridge. I'm working on CC 2015 and all programs are up to date.

Any idea of what could happen? Thank you in advance.

ETA: Okay, I just chose preview overprinting in Illustrator and also changed the color of #f8f1e0 to #f8f1e1. I see now this is not a malfunction of the program, but can someone explain WHY this happens? I'm still new to color management and it's quite confusing for me. Thank you once again.

ETA: thing: when I save the InDesign document to readable PDF and then pull it in Illustrator, the color is now #f8f2e2, even when you preview overprinting.

Hexadecimal values are RGB color, so if you plug one in the color chart the resulting CMYK values are a conversion of the color management of the profile the document CMYK document RGB profile. You will get different CMYK conversions according to the profile source RGB, CMYK destination profile, intend to color and compensation of the black point used for the conversion.

In addition the InDesign documents can have colors RGB and CMYK with CMYK and RGB profiles assigned that do not necessarily correspond to the color settings work profiles, in order to sync'ng your color settings may not get everything to match.

Ultimately if you want to match the CMYK color or nuances between AI and ID, make sure you document assigned CMYK profile matching (Edit > assign profile...) and enter CMYK and hex does not values

  • colors changing when I copy in fireworks cs4 to illustrator cs4

    Hello

Im having some problems with illustrator, the main problem is that when I move my logo in fireworks by copy - paste, the colors always change to a much darker green #6DAA25, to what it is in illustrator #8CC340. IM pretty new to illustrator, but my guess is, its something to do with Fireworks, not been able to read the file correctly.

the second problem is that I want the majority of the image of this color #8cc63f, but any time I apply it to something as the text the number will increase to a different number after that I have applied, and then click other where. its not so much a problem as long as the color is slightly different, but I still not understand why illustrator cannot apply this color #8cc63f.

the weird part is also a part of the text cannot be applied #8CC640 and continues to change to #8CC641, but can the rest of the text, which is separated. Again its not noticeable but boring, that the whole image can be incorrect.

The last problem im having is that whenever I click on, for example, the Paintbrush and change the size of the stroke, the size of race will automatically change down to 1 pt, when I start using the brush.

The main problem im having is the first, I can work around the other two, just thought to mention it, wrap it is maybe a bug or it being a popular problem.

in any case if you can help me o would really appreciate it, thanks.

    There is no all.

Illustrator and MS-Office share not all the graphics features of construction at the file level. There is no universal edit-ability between the two.

.. which is the best export (eps, emf, or svg), then insert a vector file into PowerPoint?

If your Illustrator illustration is vector of 100% and contains no live effects, complex gradients, blends, etc., the first thing to try is copy > paste special > enhanced metafile.

Otherwise, SPE may work, or you can use the pixelation in PNG. Personally, I do not consider export raster format Illustrator to be a stable workflow method, so I'd be inclined to use Photoshop as an intermediate step: Illustrator > Save As PDF > open in Photoshop > save in PNG. Just my preference.

My background color changes when I try to apply it. I put the color using the color picker. Then I try to create a new document with the same background color. But that change of a very different color. What I am doing wrong? I've used the previous procedure, several times, without this problem.

The new document has a different color profile. Make sure that they are the same.

  • Color change problem

I worked on a few T-shirt images where a white character is the base layer, after which the outfits are added to create unique characters. Please see here for example. As you can see the images are very bright, & have this glow to them.

Once completed.  I want to keep the Outfit (all layers except the empty character on the base layer) and store it in a separate file.  In this way, I have 2 files, a white, and a collection of clothing.  Instead of a new file for each group.  I know that this is not the end of the world, but it has highlighted a problem for me.

The problem I get is when I stick in file 2.  All colors become dull and flat.  I tried to import the 1 shade so the colors were there already, but the color change occurs again.  Anyone can shed some light as to what I can hurt.

Thanks for your suggestions.  I'm sure someone here will see the obvious, where I missed it.

  • Colors changing when you export files HAVE in InDesign

    Hello

Since the upgrade of CS6 CC last year, I think my profiles color or something are put in place bad between CS programs. When I'm working on a file in Illustrator (RGB) and then place it in indesign, as soon as I export the PDF the colors change. For example, a series of gray tones will be released as blue and bright orange. I'm not clued up with the settings of all programs and the inner workings, but I've never had this problem before, I've never had to change all the color settings, so think, need a new default setting I don't know.

I understand there are a many settings that could do that. I export the PDF RGB file too, but I can't see a likely switch to CMYK. Is anyway to reset all the settings back by default so that I can at least try and get the settings I usually use with CS6.

Don't know what to do... any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

Your Illustrator color settings is a problem. Choose 2 North America prepress of the parameters, which will assign sRGB to new documents and allow you to assign a profile to the existing docs. You can also consider to synchronize all your Adobe applications through the bridge Edit > color settings.

As test try to synchronize your color for North American prepress settings, create a new document, place the file I and export with the output parameters in my first post.

  • The objects will not retain any color defined when the surrounding objects have their color changed

Just Illustrator CC 19.0.0 was downloaded to me. When I place a line and then set its color, close objects can also have their color changed. This includes the items in the file of until I added the line, not on the same map-art objects. It is not universal, nor is it compatible. Objects already in the file are perhaps there for months, but a change is close will change their.

The Illustrator files can still be an earlier version, and there were a number of illustrations that had black lines and text to white turned a few months back. As these illustrations are for a book, being unable to guarantee that the colors will stay together long enough to complete the illustration and export it tends to make unusable Illustrator for tasks of editions. I hope that InDesign and Photoshop do not have the same questions!

    nwjh,

You must update to 19.1 (or 19.1.1 for Windows) or 19.2 (lattethe has some problems, then you can start with the former).

If 19.1 (or 19.2) does not appear, disconnect and then reconnect the creative cloud application. After that, the 19.1 update must be visible in the creative application of Cloud.

  • Background color changes when you save a theme

Just did a new install of Windows 7 Home Premium and has found that, when I save a theme, the background color changes from black (what it was worth) to white. Another thing to note is that when I save the generic theme "Custom Theme" (meaning an unsaved theme) remains, and the background color in the registered theme is changed and does not change when I click on the "custom theme". This is a new installation, so the only software that has been installed is video drivers, network cards drivers, the drivers of the antivirus and sounds. I've used the System File Checker, and he found no problem.

  • Color changes during the recording of the PSD to JPEG

    Hi all

When I export the image below of psd to jpeg color changes.

    The rose becomes Purple!

    2016-08-27_22-47-24.jpg

    Any help would be appreciated

Just to be absolutely clear on this point - the problem here is that the file is in ProPhoto RGB.

Windows 'Photos' isn't the color management and cannot represent a ProPhoto file correctly. No more than any other application without color management.

Convert sRGB. It is the right answer to your question (which is the error of the very common beginner, BTW).

In Photoshop, go to Edition > convert to profile > sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1.

If you're Using "export as" or "Save for Web", just check the box convert to sRGB.

  • color change

Now and then my color space seems to change on its own, and I can't figure out how to recover from the previous color space.

The last time that happened, I was 'save for web' and that he was trying different settings of sRGB checked and unchecked. This might have caused the problem, but I do not know why because it is not the color of the recorded image which is at issue. It is the color space of the PSD file that has changed somewhat. The change is that the colours are duller and seem more washed out.

I know that this has happened when I was not "save for the web." It seemed to me that I was trying to copy or paste or by using a different combination of keys when all of a sudden all the colors changed and I could not get back them. Cancel or cancel using the history does nothing to recover the original colors.

It drives me crazy. I just spent an amazing amount of time - week (Yes, weeks) in fact - perfecting of colors for a site color scheme complex and out of nowhere my colors are completely foires. So I understand what happened and get back my original colors.

I read in the forum about the possibility of having changed color settings; so I saved the file under a new name and tried other color settings, but that has not changed a thing. And if I look at the other files based on the file that has messed up (but which have original colors), color in both files settings alike. I also watched test and test colors and saw that the settings are the same as in the other case where the colors are not screwed up.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the tips. But I has not changed anything in the color settings except in the window of the Web. That's when I left the save for web I noticed that all my colors had changed. But then again, this happened with other files and seemed to have occurred after use of key combinations such as cut and paste. I must have clicked the wrong key. But even when I closed the file without saving changes and then reopened, he still had the washed out colors. So SOMETHING changed, I just can't understand what this thing.

    FOUND ANSWER

It's embarrassing, but in this case, I found out something that I had moved into my open file was applied curves that touched all colors because it was near the top of the layers. I guess I didn't notice because I was zoomed in on an element. After I saved for the Web and closed the window, I noticed the color changes. In this case, it was an easy solution. But what happened before and I know it wasn't because of the curves or similar settings. Something happened which washed out/desaturated colours. I'll figure that one another day.

But thanks to all who responded. At least I learned a few things

My videos colors change when I upload them on Youtube. Colors are desaturated roughly. I can solve the problem of really saturated video rendering, but y at - it another way to avoid the colors to change?

I use first cs6 and Windows pro. I used the h.264 settings, but I think that I had this same problem with other parameters too (but not sure). Should I try with other rendering parameters or wrong my creation parameters?

    Thank you!

Problem solved! Somehow, the problem was my internet browser, Google Chrome. With other browsers, I don't have the problem of color. And after you reinstall chrome it works also very well with Chrome.

Brown text, 'Topic Spangler and son', should be red.

Nope, it's good Brown, since the rule for #content h2 in tan.css replaces the same rule in styles.css (the link to tan.css occurs later in the code than that of styles.css). Same reason for the

tag. Remember the rule of the greater specificity in the CSS!
