  There is not any Windows 8 drivers for this printer.

  You can try this, it may or may not work...

  First run, delete print jobs to eliminate any print job stuck in the queue.

  Unplug the printer.

  Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

  Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

  Download the 32-bit drivers for Windows 8 32 bit Vista or 64-bit drivers for 64 bit Vista Windows 8. Install the Vista drivers in Vista compatibility mode, you will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on).

• Reference Dell 968 AIO, Windows 7 on Dell Studio XPS - messed up

  I have a Dell 968 AIO which was printing on the use of pilots (probably the original) on my Dell XPS Studio 8000 Win 7 pc, a week ago. He stopped printing a few days ago.

  I assumed the problem was the drivers and not the ink. So I tried to install the new drivers. It does not solve the problem. Indeed, the new drivers would not install completely. When he got to the last step of the installation the Setup program just hung. More on this in a minute.

  I bought new ink cartridges and allowed me to test the 968 printer and it prints very well now.

  When you reinstalled the operating system, have you installed the desktop system software / laptop (as appropriate) and drivers from the chipset first? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

  Start with the computer system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

  Does anyone know if reinstalling OS disks that dell used to ship with pc s cases specific to the type of model you purchased? I don't want CD Drivers Utilities CD JUST the OS.

  They were not specific to each computer. Any Dell XP CD cannot be installed on Dell computers.

  Yes, all updates are performed.

  Here's what fixed it in case someone needs to know

  Right click on my computer

  Go to the properties

  on the left side, click on advanced system settings

  Under performance, click settings

  On the Data Execution Prevention tab

  Select turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select

  Then add

  Then navigate to the folder c:\program Dell AIO printer 946\ printer Dell

  Add all of the files that are displayed

  There was some prob 8 of them... then it worked perfectly.

  Accidentally, I uninstalled my Dell 5100cn peripheral window PCL6 printer and printer and reinstalled. But now it does not print and does not even printed the test page.

  Well, I got it working! Looks like I took the wrong printer Port.

  Initially left the port of the printer as the default choice that has been "LPT1: (Printer Port).
  I uninstalled and deleted all traces of the printer driver for the 5100cn printer. So I decided to choose the "USB001 (virtual printer to USB port)" printer port option because it is connected to my computer via USB and printed successfully.
  Thank you for all your help. I'm just glad it was something simple and easily overlooked.

Since these updates are of two years (can't get more recent updates), is it acceptable to go ahead and have them?   I just had the same experience - called Dell technical support.  I use the replacement toner.  Even if my 2135cn is 3 years old, he apparently has a support life support phone.  In any case, the fix was to enter in the Setup, maintenance, admin, non Dell toner - be sure to what it gives 'On '.  My was not, and as soon as I changed it to, black printing went from barely legible to acceptable.

  I tried and reinstalled the original drivers and am still not able to get to the printer.  Jobs are sent and are visible in windows 10 for the printer, but nothing is displayed.

  After the upgrade to Windows 7 my 926 printer will not print. I followed the suggestions found here (unplug the printer on the wall, remove the brick, low load patch R166248 to delete the printer, the latest driver to load, R146832 dated 26/01/07, reboot). Restarts, driver going through complete installation process then I get an error at the end of the process, "the Dell Photo 926 Printer printer driver is not installed". I did this several times.   I think that we all regret our first wedding, well most of us.

  Removal of print jobs is a way of really nice to get rid of your documents. After you restart your computer, you should be able to run the fix, Manual printer removal driver and restart once more. Try it to install the Vista drivers in compatibility mode, I used Vista SP2.

  Right click on the file setup.exe, on the left, click Properties, compatibility of the left click. Change Vista compatibility. Then, install the appropriate drivers. You will be asked when connect (printer)

  To install the drivers, sometimes the file decompresses and does nothing. You must find the setup.exe file, right-click on it, then on the left click on run as administrator *.

  Rick, I upgraded from Win 7 to Win10 today. I kept all my files and settings. The V715w worked immediately. Do not reinstall or change settings.

  According to the description of the problem your printer does not print text on paper as there is no ink. The question might be if there is no ink in the cartridges. Printing problems can be caused by cables that are not properly connected, corrupt, drivers, incompatible drivers, the printer settings, missing updates and problems with your printer.

  I suggest to check first the ink in the cartridges, and if possible, try to change with a new and see if it makes a difference. You can also try to clean the ink cartridge nozzles.
