• Upgrade (to CC 2014) left behind the old CC versions!

  This isn't a major problem, but nevertheless, still very annoying.

  I recently upgrade of any software CC for the 2014 edition but found that I was still with the old software CC, where open windows loading list recently.

  So now, I have the following folders occupy unnecessary space:

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe - previously installed 32 bits of software CC. Why did Adobe do install these? I have a 64 bit OS!

  C:\Program Files\Adobe - it is the 64-bit versions of software CC. Now, it's a mix of:

  Adobe Bridge CC (64-bit)

  Adobe Illustrator CC (64-bit)

  Adobe Illustrator CC 2014

  Adobe InDesign CC (64-bit)

  Adobe InDesign CC 2014

  Adobe Media Encoder CC

  Adobe Photoshop CC (64-bit)

  Adobe Photoshop CC 2014

  1 why Adobe install x 86 versions, when clearly I haven't needed this version? Should I still versions of the software that is duplicated in the x 86 folder?

  2. why Adobe didn't delete obsolete versions in the folder of 64 bit? Delete the folders (in red); Adobe did not include an uninstaller for the older versions?

  First of all, sorry for my English but I'm Italian.

  A few days ago my laptop has left me without reason.

  The version installed is version 2.0. (Yes, it was an old book).

  I was working on a file (5 months of work).

  I tried to open this file with CS5 and CS4 (with computers of friends)... but there is no way...

  As shown in the image below, halfway through the conversion, the program crashed. No way to move forward (whether with CS5 and CS4).

  Is there a way to open this file?

  I had to install 2.0, but the file is opened and I save a new copy, I then could open in CS (version 3.0.1) and from there, I exported an .inx file that opens well in CS5 (although it lacks fonts, links and previews for links). IF you have links, you should be fine. If not, I exported a PDF file (which I'm sure has some stuff of funk due to missing fonts, but there are glimpses of the poor quality of the links, which are all .psd of the Sanskrit or Hindi text files that could be readable for the reconstruction). I'll send you a download link for the .indd copy, the .inx and PDF.

When I clicked on the link to the archived page of FP (published 20/09/2010) Flash Player 10.1.85.3 and 9.0.283.0 (all 126 MB, for this is to put the file in a folder, but does not actually install a FP that is usable.   Hi, I do not know which version you are trying to install. All archived versions come in a zip file. Some people are very large depending on the version you bring down. Then you need to extract what you want, I'm talking about is not easy to do since they contain all versions of this particular version for all platforms.

  Now if you want to try to install a version of the 10.1, then the zip file will be too big, because there were only 4 versions in total. Going back to the 10.0 would be many many others.

  Once you extract the version you want, download to your desktop. Then, you must first run the uninstall program & restart before attempting to install. You can download and SAVE uninstaller also on your desktop. Once you have both on your desktop, close all browsers, disable any Messenger service, etc. in the system tray that use Flash.

  You will still need to not only download the file, you must install it as indicated above.

  Sorry guys, I am disgusted with this upgrade. 29 doesn't seem at all like a good UI update. The menus is really bad and that the tab bar. In addition, this does not solve my other problem tab I have to be in another question, I asked.

  How can I go back to my last version with all my windows/tabs/history restored? I'll do a system restore if I have and then cancel all automatic updates. I honestly don't care if it's for me a greater security risk.

    Ok so i still need to revert back to what im using now version 28. Also i found out when you turn off updates in firefox's options you should also untick "use a background service to install firefox updates." So how would i revert back to version 28 while keeping my tabs in tact?
  

  IMO, the "Find updates" option in the Options window does not work for me. I updated all the prefs of app.update.url an empty value in order to work as a test. Please note that the decommissioning is not a recommended solution that is approved by Mozilla. You do this on your own.
  Regarding the backup of your tabs, your open tabs are saved in the sessionrestore.js file in your Firefox profile folder

  By continuing, you can just make a copy of this file, uninstall the current Firefox via Control Panel (important: do NOT tick the box to remove your current settings.)
  Once you have deleted Firefox 29, simply download the version of Firefox 28 using the link install an older version of Firefox , download, install and copy your sessionrestore.js file in the Firefox profile folder before you open it.

    Bringing up tabs is there an app or something for firefox thats similar to google chrome's session buddy (it lets you save multiple sessions at a time and open up and your leisure to prevent it hogging resources)

    This would all be so simple if they let you decide to choose between the new interface and the old one via a dropbox option or something, i dont see why so many people dont think of that, i guess it would be a pain to add that kinda feature though.
