Regionalization reset for my photosmart 2610

I bought the printer in the United States and Italy.  I bought a new HP cartridges in Italy who will not work until the region is reset to zero.  Looking at the answers on the same subject, I called HP support in the United States and Italy, and after 1 hour and 1/2 have been absolutely no help.  I was transferred several times.  I can't believe that this procedure should be so difficult or even justify a technical appeal.  Why is there no instructions on the Web site for this?   Can you help or get HP to support their own product?

I even spoke with a supervisor who said he found someone to help him, and then he transferred me to the menu of consumer support.  It's price winner support, seriously?  There, someone can actually help me?

Updated: 1 hour 43 minutes and 20 minutes waiting, I still remember another technician who then told me it's an obsolete product and they can't.  It took 1 hour and 43 minutes for this answer.  If I don't get this solved, you can be sure that this product is not replaced with another HP.

    Well well probably XP is half the problem since it is no longer supported... But I am havig problems scanning anything on my hp photosmart 2610. Area of the image go up and keeps telling me to insert my all in a disc and I evetually must use master to close the processes of HP. I tried everything to have HP on the phone (for 4 hours) and they could not uninstall and reinstall new drivers so not that I have two monitors of image digital hp running. Printing is not a problem but pulling to the top of photos and attempt at analysis of the new photos just do not work. I have the original disc of photosmart hp, but when I put it in my dvd player I get a message to put in an all in one disc I did not. I even downloaded the latest driver from HP and tried running that, but it does not say that it is alread installed... Should I just delete anything that has to do with my printet hp and then run the installation of new I removed the HP site? It makes me very nervous because I can print at least currently... If I delete everything and the installation fails, I can't live with printing capabilities. However, I want to be able to scan your photos of family, etc...

  • HP Photosmart C4780: Factory Reset for HP Photosmart C4780

    I recently started using a new wireless router after a move, and I'm able to get my computer and my printer on the same network.

    I tried to figure out how to change the network that connects the printer, but I was completely failed. I did a lot of searching around, and nothing seems to work. For what it's worth, I had all the last printer and driver software with the software update feature on my Mac. I am also able to connect to the printer and print using a USB cable. But I'm completely unable to access all the settings of the printer that would allow me to move the printer to the same network as the computer. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

    I think that if I could get the printer to do a factory reset or a hard reset, that might be a better place to start. I think that the printer has some memory kept the old wireless network, because this network name appears on one of these pages, you can print troubleshooting. But if the printer didn't remember any wireless network, then it might be easier to implement on the new wireless network. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on how to do a factory zero either, so if anyone knows how to do, please also let me know.

    Forgive me for the delay in my response.

    It's strange, that it must continue to blink and only go solid once your computer is connected to the network printers.

    It could be the wireless radio no longer works properly, I will send you a different reset in a private message, please check the little envelope on the upper right of the forums page to check your Inbox of Forums.

  • Print a page of test before regionalization resets. Old ink or ink cartridges new cartridges?

    My wife bought a HP Deskjet F2492 in Italy while attending school there.  She needs to get a regionalization reset for US, ink cartridges, now that she is back in the United States.  She has US cartridges and gets a message "incompatible cartridge" with lights flashing when they are installed.  With the US cartridges in the printer, the button cancel and pressing the launch button color print at the same time does not print a test page (it works with the European, but not the US cartridges cartridges).

    I understand that the procedure is to run a test page and obtain the codes corresponding to the 11, 21, 52, 62. and 25.  Then contact HP that will calculate the numbers that must be entered in 5 fields on a dialog box that opens when you double-click on the blue HP logo in the window of the print preferences (Windows 7).

    It's true that we run the test with the new page WE cartridges in the printer to get valid codes (we were led to believe that this was the case)?  If so, how actually print us a test page with the US cartridges since the method described above does not work?

    The test page can be printed with the cartridges 'old '.  You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset."  I suggest that you do this before you worry about the details of what to print, the agent will take you through the process. Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.

  • Regionalization Reset - Photosmart B110

    Recently moved to Europe, the Middle East, with my HP Photosmart Wireless e-All - in - One B110b.  Old cartridges (HP178) failed, but when I put the European counterparts in (HP364) I received a message 'Incompatible Ink. "

    Contacted HP cat online for a 'Reset regionalization. "  First, they insisted that I print a 'test 10 - tap' with the old cartridges (impossible since they were empty).  Then they sent me to say that the reset of the region was not possible on the B110.

    Fake!  When I talked to HP UK - where I bought cartridges, although I live in France - Telephone (0844 369 0369) they said that, I still had the old cartridges (although they would not), they could get the required information in the menu of supported printer.

    With their help, entered in the support menu using the following sequence on the printer homescreen (top left-top right upper left-upper left).  Then provided the following information from various menus: printer serial number, number of pages, number series ink cartridge (black, cyan, yellow, magenta), scheme of grouping/scramble.  Then, they gave me a few codes to enter a special menu. Success!

    Some models of printer with automatic duplexer print not correctly on the back in Vista (or Windows 7 if Vista update).   In these models on the back is printed updside down regardless of the driver configuration.

    hpo7x00t. GPD is the current patch file.

    To apply the patch download the here attached zip file.  Extract the files in the %Temp% directory, and then open the OJ7410.pdf file and follow the instructions.  If you have trouble finding the folder directory you can find this directory by opening your 'computer' folder and type folder in the address bar.

    In fact, the driver of Windows 7 made good automatic duplex printing - no patch is required for Windows 7 [edit - this is true for fresh installation.  For the versions of Vista the patch may be used for Windows 7].  The default value for some printers, is that the duplexer is 'not installed', please check the Duplex Printing Troubleshooting Guide for Vista.  In Windows 7, the procedure is slightly different, in the folder printers click twice on the 7410, double-click the icon 'Customize your printer', device settings and under installable options go "Duplex for two back" on installed, OK.

    I don't know how I did before, but after weeks of trying, I got my photosmart 2610 fully functional.  Unfortunately, I lost patience with the obsolete photoessentials trying to install and fail at every reboot.  It wouldn't uninstall parameters, so I paid $45 for 'perfect uninstall' and it got rid of to essentials photo but also all other drivers hp including the interface of scanning HP Solutions elusive.  Now after only two days of repeatedly suite only solution Uninstall HP and download the 10 finished suite Windows and try again, I continually get the error ' error fatal Hp during the installation hzsetup.exe - wStub 1836654» Of course whenever installation fails the product installer to uninstall everything.  I ran the ccc/l. 4 uninstall myself and must have restarted a dozen times.  It doesn't seem like it should be impossible to get a printer to work.  Then, they put a link fixit of Windows 8 on my desk that says uninstall and download again and again and again.

    I'm sorry you have a problem with slow printing.

    Try to perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord at the back omit it for 30 seconds and plug it back.

    Try to print a self-test page or the printer in the printer itself status report. It is still slow?

    If this isn't the case, it may be a connection problem. Maybe change the USB cable.

    Compatible cartridge for the Brazil's HP 564. Given that you have moved to a different printer area will not accept the new cartridge immediately, please contact HP to get a regionalization reset after which the printer accepts the new cartridges.

  • Photosmart 2610 usb connected stops printing in the queue; error noted. IMac os 10.6.8. prints test page

    I used all-in-one HP Photosmart 2610 for years without change. Now everything is print spooling with non-descript "error" when it is in the queue. I can print the test page for the utility and I can print via the usb connection to my laptop which has supposedly the same software and updates. I uninstalled and reloaded the software updated and get a message that the software has been installed successfully. Install HP works OK and the dashboard widgit working to show supplies. But the printer in the printer/Fax preferences poster "information not available" when I check for supply levels.

    When I try to use the printer utility I get a message "some components installed on your computer have been developed for a different version of the HP utility. These components will not be loaded and some features related to your device cannot be accessed ".» I downloaded the latest version of the software and reinstalled my original software CD and cannot always my computer to print.

    If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

    Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
    Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
    There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
    Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
    -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

    I only 3 sets of cartridges of HP 300/HP 300XL of the United Kingdom in the hope to use it in my HP Deskjet F2483 printer.  Unfortunately when I put in the cartridges of all lights began flashing.  Other research has indicated that a regionalization reset code is required.   I called HP U.S. and HP to Kenya for a solution.  They could not resolve the problem and were looking for something else.  No idea how the code reset regionalization is made?

    Only a limited number of officers is formed for regionalization reset, you will need to ask to speak to an agent with adequate training.

    Do you have a case ID?  It would be a long number possibly indicating with 8.

    I have a photosmart 2610 all-in-one it works perfectly fine when I connect through my usb cable. the only thing is that I have 3 computers at home and who are used mainly for school work.when I arrived to my printer, everything has worked until recently collapsed when answering my network connections...

    When I look at my settings my ip network, the subnet and the gateway is all 0.0.0.0? OK so I thought that I add them manually and see what that dose... nothing to get all rest to 0.0.0.0... I am a network restore but still nothing happens! I print a config and everything is in the "off" mode. I'm not sure how to turn on the State of the network.

    IM on a XP pro SP3 with all latest updates for XP and HP software and firmware.iv got 3 other devices connected to my router which works perfectly fine, so I know theres nothing wrong with that.

    The Photosmart 2610 has no of wireless, which was a feature for the Photosmart 2710.  Go to settings, 8, 3, 2, OK, 2 and set the IP address, mask and gateway.
