Registry repair programs

Do I need a registry repair program, if so?  Can you suggest one?

You absolutely don't need or want a "cleaner" or "repair" of the registry program. At best, they are snake oil. At worst they will be your computer trash. See this link for more details:

    See below.

My system has been slow with many stumbling blocks.

Registry errors are not the reason. There are a lot of possible
reasons, but the most likely reason these days is malware infection.

My antivirus is not find anything

Is what antivirus? They are not equally good and unfortunately
the most popular are among the worst.

In addition, a virus is one type of malware. What anti-spyware programs
    Do you run?

You keep all the programs anti-virus and anti-spyware to date?

and blockages worsen if I try to load internet explorer which now automatically freezes when I try to load a blank page.

Sure looks like a malware infection is likely.

Here is my post about registry cleaners:

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • Disk defragmentation repeated after you install a Registry Cleaner program.

    Original title: Disk Defragmenter

    Hello.

I use Windows XP Prof and IE 8.

"After" install a Registry Cleaner program, a disk defragmentation task was executed, and he indicated that the volume needs to be defragmented. Subsequently, the task of disk defragmentation was performed again and he said that 'always' volume must be defragmented even if there is nothing to defragment (no red line showing).

'Before' installing the program Registry Cleaner, disk defragmentation task was performed and she would declare that the volume needs to be defragmented. Subsequently, the task of disk defragmentation was performed again and he said that the volume was already defragmented (no red line showing).

Why the registry cleaner would lead the program Defragmenter to 'think' that he needs to defragment even after this has been done (and no red line showing)?

    Thanks in advance.

I will not bore to 'clear all' regularly because I can see the red error icon and the yellow warning icon clearly by scroll.

Bottom line: Defrag works so I will continue to "analyze" and defragment every day when there are red lines in the graph, but not worthwhile to defragment a second time, unless the red lines still appear.

Thank you 'a lot' to work on this issue with me - It is much appreciated.

    Hello

I googled this file pofusido.dll and it could be caused by a virus.

I would suggest that you disable the restore mode as viruses use it to reinstall set apart them.

Download and install the free http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Restart the computer and keep pressing F8 to get into safe mode with network connection.

Once you have updated Malwarebytes run and see if it can remove the virus.

  • Registry Fix programs

I was just curious as to what that the thoughts of people on all these registry fix programs and other programs guaranteed to speed up your computer. R they useful? Do they work? Or R they the worst 2 2 your PC?

    Hello CL9675,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Registry fix programs are not recommended by Microsoft. If you do not understand what changes vacuuming, it can severely damage your computer.
There is no reliable way for a 3rd party to know program if a key is not valid or not. Registry cleaners may not know with certainty if a key is still being used by Windows or what may have the effects removing it. This can lead to a loss of functionality or system instability.

It is not recommended, but you will need to judge for yourself if you want to use them.

  • Registry repair software is recommended?

I am running XP SP2 on a desktop computer and laptop, I am not technically savvy. For the past 2 years that I've been running RegCure, I was sent a notice stating that I have to pay to continue the service.
There are a number of these programs, including free, are they really necessary or is this ability already in XP SP-2, otherwise, technical people do you recommend for older people on a limited budget?

Registry cleaning or repair is not necessary.  I've never used on any of my computers.

In my opinion, it is very unlikely to improve performance, and this may damage the system and make it unusable.  I don't think it's worth the risk. Boulder computer Maven

  • MacBook pro repair program extension of the graphic problems

Hello. I have a MBPR (mid-2012) 15. For about a year, I have a few questions about closing down. In fact, it would not stop or restart unless I pressed the power button for 10 seconds. Although he was not supposed to be like that, I don't think much. I didn't go through the process of relocation of the MBPR.

Lately, I've been fans replaced by a workshop of local computer (not allowed), because one of them makes a horrible noise. He worked for a while, but now I get the message "your computer needs to be restarted due to an error" more and more often, and which is more annoying, it does not start successfully, unless he was arrested for a long period of time. Initially, it was 10 minutes, now it is more than 45 minutes.

I tried all possible solutions on the Internet, to move the kext files, freeing up more space and finally install a clean place. The own installation, I received the above message

I also found the page on the repair to the problems of video outreach program, and one of the symptoms is the unexpected restart of the computer. So yesterday I took it at an authorized dealer, and they said they would send Fortunately it to Apple, but that changes were 90%, Apple would have see it has been repaired by an unauthorized workshop and send it back without doing anything (but with a bill for 85 EUROS), or could the video problem they would charge me a fee (which can be more than 1000 EUROS).

Questions: is the sound that the above as the kind of issue that could be solved with the repair extension program?

Years, if so, as the MBPR is out of the warranty period and apple care and fans was replaced by a non-authorized computer store, will Apple accepts my MBPR for a free repair extension program or it will cost me an amount of 1000 EUROS?

Contact Apple directly.  Only they can give you a definitive answer.  Understand that these forums are a user in with no Apple corporate presence.

  • Problem with application of Advance Exchange repair program

I consider a repair on a Moto X Pure 2015 with 32 GB. I presented an Exchange program repair Advanced request. I checked motorcycle Maker and I saw that 32 GB models are out of stock with no expected ship date. What does it mean for me? Will be I sent a 64 GB model as a substitute. I noticed that 64 GB models all have at least 4 Nov ship dates. Does this mean that Lenovo will not be able to honor the policy Advanced Exchange Program mail me a new device in 4 days? I liked my phone, but read as many problems with motocare I'm worried. In addition, the site hung twice and was spinning wheels for several minutes when I tried to submit my claim for compensation. I wasn't sure if either crossed, but I finally received an email acknowledging "a question" I guess that's my service request. Thanks in advance for any guidance I can get.

I'm in a similar situation. I submitted my request to Exchange Advanced 10/06/16. I never received the replacement unit, and after several days of waiting, I get an email on 13/10/16 with an apology for the delay. The e-mail indicates that instead of replacement that I will be sent a code within 24 hours so that I can customize and order a new device. It sounded great, but 13 days later I still not received the email containing the code. I called today 10/26/16, and first customer service representative has been disconnected after I spent 20 minutes on the line, mostly on hold while she was on the other line with the Department which issues these codes. I was transferred to another customer service Rep. who, after checking, told me that they could not provide me with a code. Asked me to wait even 24 to 48 hours for a call from a person in their IT Department, so they can help me.

It is extremely disappointing to see how bad Motorola customer support is. If there is an indication any how Lenovo handles support calls, I never buy another Motorola or Lenovo again. I mean, the products are usually great, but to have little or no support when there is a problem is ridiculous.

It shouldn't take more than 20 days just to get a replacement appliance will. The only thing I like is that I didn't send in my camera for a standard Exchange. I was without a phone for almost a month, at least, I don't know how long this process will take actually.

  • is a registry cleaner program a good investment for a slow computer?

    Hello.

My computer is slow and late, most of the time when I go on facebook the freez the computer for 10-15 seconds, then the page comes on. The more problems I have on facebook is when I go to the games (the game will load completely and before it begins, it closes and recharge again.) Sometimes it's just the game freez and I click on "Home" to leave the game and I have to return the game to continue playing). Now, the problem is not only on Facebook, I use it as an example. I searched on google and I want to know if a registry cleaner might help. Some websites you says it's good, some sites say it's a scam most registers are useless. I'm running on Windows Vista business and I have Kaspersky Lab Internet Security 2013, and I have my computer, run a defrag every week. If I need a registry, I saw a couple of sites for this and the other says it's best 'RegClean Pro' and another said 'RegZooka.  Also is there a Web site that is 'kosher' and reliable software. There are SO many scams.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Yves.

    Absolutely not. Most are scams.

In any case, those who are not is dangerous. There is no central reference to the registry. Each program or driver, including Windows, it uses as it sees fit. Recommended by microsoft parts are specified by a particular product with no coordination team. Noone has knowledge of a deep understanding of the tens of thousands of programs.

The unused parts of the registry do not affect the registry.

  • Uninstallers often times not clean up after themselves, entered of registry, empty program files, the files are left behind, why?

I've always wondered why Microsoft allows programs to leave traces of themselves behind and rarely will a program and its installer actually withdraw completely from a system, now I mean not only the obvious traces of itself not always their required files, settings etc registered.

If a user chooses to remove a program, it must be completely removed from the system without either traces left behind, if I chose to keep the previous settings an applications on my system which is a little different, rarely does the user choose this during a move.

So my main question on what this issue is, what is up? Why it got thrown into Vista, will be Windows 7 may take over in this area.

    Artfuldodga,

Thus, as said by Brent, Microsoft does'nt write UN-Installer. As such, it is really the companies that write the uninstall programs you should have problems with, it is to them to write a program to withdraw completely or not. MCP. MCDST. LVL 80

I just looked at the link you have provided previously. Good information. I get into the BIOS and I have this info. I agree with you that I should get comfortable or pay someone who is. Laughing out loud!!! I've contacted the information I have and see where that gets me. When I put the discs I get to where it asks 'where I want to install windows. The box is empty... no location. Bottom of the screen says 'no found record', ' click on load a driver to provide a disk for installing mass storage. I can't go any further.

Sounds like get you into the BIOS, there may be no player listed.  A hardware failure is likely.
