BlackBerry Smartphones icons on the homescreen 9900 Bold

How do I move icons on the main screen on Bold 9900 device so when I turn on the camera icons appear. Currently, I have to press the arrow in the Middle at the bottom of the screen and drag upward to get the icons appear.

First of all, you can control how many lines appear on your home screen when you turn it on.  The number of default rows is one, but if you put your finger on the arrow and drag it to the top (like you did), however several lines that you drag to the top of will remain whenever you turn on your phone.

If you want to lower the maximum number of lines, say maybe two only are needed, get the screen filled with the arrow at the top.  Then, highlight an icon with your cursor, press the menu key and select move then move the icon near top, even above the row.  Once you have the icons you need laid out near the top, you can drag the arrow down to hide all rows that fall below your selected icons.

I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones icons at the top of the screen

When my display shows two lines of icons at the bottom and a few smaller icons matched up (not when the screen is filled with four rows of icons), the icons above are not in any of the documents I've read. They are:

    1. a small black circle with an arrow pointing at about 07:30 and a small red circle. I got this, it shows a text Message waiting to be read.

    2. a golden globe (with latitude and longitude lines, this is how I think it's a globe), with a number of '1' next to him

    3. a blue square with a little white squiggle and a red circle.

What is? Except n ° 1, I have not found in the doc.

  • Shortcuts of the blackBerry Smartphones customization on the homescreen on the 8230?

I just got a new Pearl flip 8230 a few days ago. Love it, but one thing bothers me a bit. On the home/main screen, with 5 shortcuts at the bottom, I can't find a way to customize them. My old cheap gift flip previously had this ability, so you can't tell me that this phone rich in features, nicer don't. Right now the shortcuts are for messages, my two email accounts, address book and calendar. Is there a way I can change these shortcuts to my taste? I've looked throughout this manual and did a quick search online and on these forums and found nothing.

I would greatly appreciate advice or tips.

    Yes.

Click the menu button to go to the screen icons of complete applications. If you find that the top line there is a line on the home screen?

Find the icon you want to move to the top, highlight it (do not click), press Menu > move and then scroll to the place on the first line where you want the icon, and then click.

There you go... so, no, I can't tell you that this feature rich functionality is not the same as your old flip.

Okay... but in order to solve this and do what, whether you still need a fully charged battery. How to get yours... but you have to do, and you can do when trying to load in the BB.

All operating systems are released by the carriers. Model number any carrier what OS can be used in any device, as long as it's for the exact same. Indeed, it is that deletion of the SELLER. XML files doesn't work - causes Setup to bypass validation the carrier of the source of the operating system against the carrier allocated to the device.

Even if you bought directly from BlackBerry, it will still be originally were for a specific carrier. All BBs have a unchanging VendorID value, which indicates the carrier for which the device was built into their firmware. Even a BB unlocked, which can then be used on any compatible media, retains this original VendorID. And it is in fact only VendorID which is checked against the SELLER. XML files in the operating system package - removing the SELLER. XML files allows to bypass this check, allowing you to use any carriers OS package.

Now that you understand the process, you know how to proceed. Choose from companies that take charge of your model, the operating system package you want.

The send option is no longer available when replying to emails.

Need to set the default e-mail account?

    Hey Shirewood,

    Welcome to the forums.

You can have a database of the book service corrupt on your BlackBerry smartphone.

The first thing you want to do is clear the Service book database on the device by using the following article.

Then return the service book and test with a new email to see if you are still experiencing the same issues.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • Settings for blackBerry Smartphones Post update: have now double rows of icons on the homescreen instead of a row

have a PET of brain.  I can't find the setting that will allow me to change the homescreen from 2 lines to 1 row. can anyone help?

I use aussi.148. If you press the menu key once, you get the screen complete icon. Press it again and the sub menu should appear. There is a choice of options. Press and you should get the preferences of the home screen where you can change the number of lines.

Once you have done the upgrade, have you done a reset with a battery pull. Try this as well.

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! -Lack of message, emails, icons of the camera on "BOLD" 9000

Saturday night my battery apparently lack of power completely.  When I tried to start, but there was no answer so I plugged and rebooted.  When it is turned on, the message text, the e-mail icon, icon of the camera icon and the cat icon Blackberry where everything is gone, on the screen.  Also the 'sound' icon in the upper left corner, you know that to control if the ring is strong, sweet, or vibrate, etc., is absent.  I had the screen saver is off.  But a photo in Blackberry default is now the screensaver.  I have some pictures and important texts and emails I need restored.  I also spent hitting the button on the bottom of the phone, and a message icon appeared or reappears, however, he only registered to Blackberry on the phone, a message registeration emails when I registered on 24 January and back in 28 Oct.  I bought the phone with an ATT store and they said it was new.  None of my previous electronic appear under this "new" message icon

Just curious to know if anyone knows of any quick fix until I have to waste my time online, then have a cust rep, who knows as much as this phone than me, tell me it will have to be shipped to a place and "restored".  Thank you very much.

    Françoise

PS - I just noticed the www browser is missing also.

Thanks for the reply.  A friend told me to stop the BB, remove the battery and then turn it back on.  The BB took a few mintues to come back but it worked and everything was restored.  He explained that the BB goes through a process of battery conservation and stop all programs in order to save energy.  He thinks that the current BB software is apparently not restored these programs stop you.  Maybe the upgrade of the software you suggested will do just that (?).  In any case, thanks for the effort.

  • BlackBerry smartphones disappear when the icons/folders/data of low power - how to recover?

I bought a "BOLD" 6 days - my first smartphone - there to replace a 4 year old Nokia.

The installer went well and I associated with several e-mail accounts in the phone.  All the seemend very well until this afternoon when the battery power has fallen sharply, low power icon came and then the screen went white and locked upward.  The phone was on but just sitting on my desk, when he does this.  The phone wouldn't stop or anything once the screen went white.  I plugged in the charger and it is now loaded.

However, many of the icons on the home page and expanded home page disappeared - messages, all messaging files, browser, call log, etc.  I can't find them anywhere.  In addition, all the e-mail settings for the 4 accounts that have been implemented have disappeared as are all of the messages that had been saved.

Backups of the messages so I am not concerned to retrieve their content in the phone itself.  However, how can I get the icons back so that I can access the features of the phone?  This is a common occurrence when the battery is low?  Everything seems to happen 40% white screen in 3 hours during which the phone was not on active service in terms of excessive electricity consumption.

I can't find anything to help in the guide of the user or the site.  Thanks for your comments.
