Reinstal vista completely formatted

Hello! I need help. I have a toshiba laptop and a few days ago I formatted with a friend who was supposed to know how to do. We have done with the restore cd that I had for vista, but in the process, we have deleted all partitions. My knowledge is very small, but I think that erase something that had to reinstal vista because the cd does not work. Another friend told me that what I need now is a cd of instalation for vista, and that now that we have erased all my recovery cd does not work.
Someone has an idea?
Thank you

Here are the General information relating to the recovery.

Contact Toshiba for the exact details.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Remove ubuntu 8.10 completely reinstall vista

    I was running a dual OS with Ubuntu 8.10 and victory. Vista vista error has been removed. Vista OS CD not install, no message no space free. tried to uninstall, separation and use of the command in unbuntu prompts all unsuccessful. Vista will not boot pass, the install command. Restore does not load. I can get the command prompts, but do not know. can not access vista Assistant either. I'm just a just or general computer user, knowledge not the most systems of BONES and the leader out there.

    Use the Vista installation disc to select recovery options and go to the command prompt.  Which partition you want to install Vista on (assuming that you don't care if you lose everything on it), type Format C:\ (assuming it's the partition letter - use if applicable) and enter.  It will clean the record of everything.  Then use the Vista disc to reinstall Vista (you should now have enough space unless you have done a few more later of partitioning that reduces the space where you want to install Vista to something too small to keep it).  But we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite L350 - want to reinstall Vista without touching the second partition

    Hi all

    I want to reinstall Vista without touching the second partition that is full of data.
    I'll be able to do with this procedure? http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm#

    The confusing part is when it says in the explanation that the * entire hard drive * will be formatted (step 2) but on one of the photos, it is written that only data on C: will be erased.
    I have Satellite L350, and the hard drive recovery process is the same as on the connected tutorial before (I'm not completely obviously)

    Hi amigo

    I tested its operation, and from my experience, I can confirm that when you use the HDD recovery procedure as described in the Toshiba document all data saved on the second partition won t be deleted.

    Only if you are using recovery DVD (please create a) will be formatted the whole HARD disk.

  • I need to reinstall Vista on my laptop on a drive, have questions.

    I have a backup disk & need to reinstall Vista.  Clean up some stuff on my laptop before I do it & if sowhat to do?  Thank you.

    Hello

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
    If the backup disk is created using any built-in utility (recovery disk), you can use the disk to restore PC to factory default state. If you intend to restore the PC using the disk, the disk may completely format the hard disk and to restore. But, you can start the recovery process from the PC, without the need to restore disc, because the PC contains a separate recovery partition. You can begin the process of recovery of the partition of hard drive also. Consult the manual of the PC user for more information.

    What I would do, my computer has so many unwanted programs, is to reinstall Vista and not all HP programs that I don't want.  It seems to make the computer too slow.  I don't have a Vista disc, only the recovery CD I did in the beginning. Can I recover and just reinstall Vista, or should I get back it?

    original title: recovery

    If your "Vista recovery disc" is provided by the manufacturer of your computer, be it Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, etc... Then chances are he's doing a thing. Completely format your hard drive and restores your computer to the day you brought it home. It's a major nuisance for many people these days, as if you have an error and Windows says 'Please insert the Vista CD to fix it Windows' well, you do not HAVE the CD to correct the error. Your only option is a complete erasure of all data.

    So, my advice is to avoid ever NEED to use the recovery CD, and if you don't... hope you have backups of your important data (which is another thing, backup your important data often!).

  • Reinstalling Vista Ultimate, crashes at copying the files

    I am trying to reinstall Vista Ultimate and it will not complete the installation. I just had my hard drive replaced with a new drive from Western Digital. The computer loads fine installation. She saw the new drive. I created a partition and formatted the drive and clicked next to the installation. It goes to the screen next where he hangs up on copying them files and displays a message saying that it cannot prepare the computer for the next step and restart the installation. I done it twice now and got the same thing. How do the installation to proceed?

    Hi dgeffers,

    Please see the troubleshooting following thanks to Thahaseena M, the technical support engineer:

    I suggest you to disconnect all external devices that are connected to the system such as (printers, scanners, etc.) and see if the problem is resolved.

    This occurs mainly, if the system (hardware or software) is not compatible with the operating system that you are trying to install on the system. I suggest you to format the partition in which you try to install Windows Vista, and then check if you are able to install the operating system or not.

    Hi Helen,

    If you try to start from scratch, the new facility is the option.

    Note: after a clean installation, all data, programs, and drivers on the computer will be lost. It is recommended to make a backup of your important data before performing any installation. You need to reinstall the device drivers. Make sure that you back up office documents before re-formatting of the computer.

    You can follow the steps mentioned in the link below to reinstall Windows Vista.

  • Vista - complete PC - cannot restore without a good Vista DVD backup

    I did a complete PC Backup using the tools system of Windows Vista on an external USB drive.

    When I tried to restore from it as I did the following:

    1. plugged in USB drive
    2 startup PC, press F8 until I got the recovery menu
    3. choose the option to restore complete PC
    4. we find the USB key and asked me to confirm that it was the backup I wanted to restore
    5. but then he stopped, saying that she had need to format the drive that the system recovery performed from and I need to boot from a different disk.

    6. the Toshiba restore disk is useless for this because it allows you only to return to the factory settings.

    7. to solve this problem, I had to find a copy of a Vista bootable CD. None is supplied with my laptop Toshiba A10 - d16. I found an ISO to neosmart image and allowed me to create a bootable CD. Then, I used this to boot from and was then able to restore from the backup.

    Is this correct? Is - this Toshiba not question a CD that can be used to restore from the utility Windows Vista complete PC Backup?

    If that is correct, what a nonsense this is. How can you count on Microsoft to provide a complete PC backup solution if they haven't thought through how to use it for real!

    > How can you count on Microsoft to provide a solution for complete PC backup if they thought about how t n use it for real!
    That of the point. This tool is developed by Microsoft and it would be interesting to know what they have to say about it.

    Idea with an external USB device is OK and I wonder why it will not work properly.

    Hello

    I put t know what exactly you were doing, but normally you can reinstall the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc. It is a very easy procedure because you only have to make a few clicks. Disk erase the whole HARD drive but that s normal so Don t be to worry about this.

    Alternative, you can use a Microsoft Windows disk. Thus, you can also reinstall Vista, but after that, you will need to download and install all the drivers from the Toshiba site.

    Hello

    Hmm, looks like the laptop cannot restore the operating system from the recovery image
    To be honest I'm not very well why this error pops up but eventually it s m related to the new HARD drive installation.

    Perhaps, you can format the HARD drive again using a clean Microsoft Windows CD (Win XP, etc.).
    Boot from the CD of Win and format the HARD drive.
    Then go to the recovery disk, boot from the recovery disc and try reinstalling the operating system

    Maybe it would work

    You can use the recovery disk to reinstall Vista on your laptop but as Luke mentioned, the recovery disk would format the whole HARD drive. It would erase all partitions on the HARD drive and you will lose also the installed Win 7!

  • Should I reinstall Vista Home Premium?

    My problem started when I downloaded a few new files for a game, I run on my Vista Home Premium.  The game is Left 4 Dead 2, I've been looking for a good map editor for game cards included with the game, and in my research on the web, I found a few new cards that are in zip (compressed) format, and after reading the instructions I have to use my 'open with... " command through Vista and the value of Left 4 Dead 2 as well as the program to open these files with..., now on my system, I have a lot of space (500 GB HDD with about 75% of free space), I have a quad-processor, 2.40 GHz Pentium 4, 4 GB of RAM.  Now for the problem; When I select Left 4 Dead 2 as the program to use in the "Open with...» " window and click OK, nothing happens, Left 4 Dead 2 does not appear in the"Open with... " list of programs and it happens with all types of file/program type on my system.  So I ask, can I reinstall Vista once more?  It has been replaced once before, and honestly, I didn't like the process of resettlement.

    Resettlement took my old Windows subfolder and placed in another directory on the operating system reinstalled.  I can see why he does it, but honestly, it's a royal pain in the neck to find out what to do with the new directory, I ended up just removing all together.  So I ask you, should I reinstall or not to solve this problem with 'open with...
