  You must follow the steps to download and install Adobe Creative Cloud apps to "install previous versions of applications. It is not particularly easy, but if you follow the steps and screenshots, you will be able to install the CC2014 version.

  Yes, it's exactly what you need to do. Delete this file and then the installation should work. The file, you must remove varies depending on what operating system you are on. See turn off auto-mises updated | Application manager | COMPUTER administrators, down near the bottom, for a list of locations.

  Instead of just outright deleting the file, you can rename it to something else and get the same result. That way if you want to put the file for some reason, you can rename it right back to AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat.

  However, it seems that it does show more OPTIONS to import or REPLACE the ITEM SELECTED when you place a multipage pdf file.

  I searched online and do not see any other mention of this product and I was wondering if this is a bug on my dissertation or
  There is a workaround/alternative solution so I can have the same features as previous versions?

  After further investigation, it appears that a uninstall and reinstall works to bring these features... so that's what I did and now they are back! Thanks again for taking the time for troubleshooting.

  I followed all the troubleshooting, I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, activated fonts.

  Nothing works. Overtime, I try to open Indesign since the last update of creative cloud, it crashes.

  Creative and Mac 10.10.1 Yosemite cloud CC 2014

  1. While it is connected to the creative Cloud, I uninstalled every creative cloud applictions.

  2. offline creative cloud.

  3 downloaded the cleanup of Creatve cloud tool and ran it.

  4 restarted.

  5. check all the files in the library to ensure that anything Adobe has been left (search Adobe is a good idea).

  6 re-directed the installation of creative cloud program.

  7 connected and checked creative cloud including the installation language and file preferences. NOTE for the Australia what we ENGLISH INTERNATIONAL not in North America.

  8. install all the Applications I use.

  9 tested Indesign - absolutely perfect.

  10 restarted and tested again. Everything is good.

  I took these silkscreens to show how installation files are now different on Yosemite 10.10.1 the preceding settles.

  I had local IT install the software, I'm not aware that any problem came during installation. The error came when trying to install the updates from the cloud of Creative. I reinstalled InDesign and I think that the problem has been resolved. I'm on a Mac with OS X v10.9.5

  All machines have the motherboard Dell, Core i3, 6 GB with ATI Radeon HD 4550 graphics card or better. It could not be material.

  Constant file corruption is not terribly descriptive. Are you saying that these files won't open after change you them?

  Older files are opened directly in a newer version of the ID? Which, in my opinion, is not a reliable workflow any longer. Instead, convert the files to the .idml in the original version and which opens. If this is not possible, export to .idml as the first step after you open a legacy file, which open, and then save it as .indd under a new name. Do not overwrite your old files.

  In your creative cloud application, there is a gray bar just below your installed applications, called previous versions. Click on it to expand this section and you should see it.

  Impossible to find a discussion about this since 2011.  When I scroll to the bottom of 'News', 'Start' or 'tips and Techniques' there is no checkbox "disable."  It is a huge waste of time.  I could even live with the 'Create' screen at startup but can't get there either.

  Dang, I didn't read the title of this thread pretty closely.  For InDesign CC 2014, the link provided by Salah is correct.  To save you from reading through it all here what you need to do:

  (1.) be sure that you are actually connected to creative cloud of in InDesign.  See the Help menu and be sure to see you 'Sign Out (your ID Adobe here)'.  If on the contrary, it says "Sign In", and then select this menu item and connect properly.

  2.) now exit then restart InDesign.  At the bottom of the "New" tab, you should now see the option to disable the Welcome screen.
