Reinstall the cs4 update on os10.8.3

My company has updated my mac from a former power pc imac to a new imac with Os 10.8.3.

I am trying to load the applications, I boxed shaped using discs.

Oh Oh no in this new mac disc tray. Ive tried to use remote drive connected to my old mac, but the new mac will not install the disk say that it is a powerpc application.

I don't have a full version of adobe CS1 and everything else up to CS4 are updated.

How can I get this on the new imac?

Surely if I have all my amendments serial. etc., Adobe may provide these files for download online.

Anyone know a way around this? Help, please

No need to download and install full versions of old software in order to re-install CS4. Just install the update directly from CS4. It contains the complete program code - serial number indicates the installation program if you have a full version or an upgrade. Enter your serial number CS4 upgrade, and then enter your serial number CS3 or CS2 when you are prompted.

Download CS4 http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

Follow the Instructions of the very Important on this page first before you click on the download links.

Install then enter followed by your CS3 or CS2 serial number CS4 serial number.

  • Reinstall the CS4 Design Premium on my new PC (Windows 7)

Hello, I would like to reinstall CS4 Design Premium on my new PC (Windows 7). But unfortunately my series do not work. Previously, I had an iMac on that everything worked. Whot I'm wrong?

Your serial number is only valid for a Mac system.  Unfortunately CS4 is not eligible for platform swap, your only option would be to buy the latest version for Mac or sign up for a subscription to creative cloud.

  • Reinstall the CS4 but broken drive

Unfortunately, the disc does not work properly (I think it's broken)...

  • Trying to install the CS4 update but old software not in the drop-down list

CS4 was installed on my XP machine in 2010 - and I remember having to call support because the previous version, I had (Studio 8) was not part of the drop-down list where you select your old version.

Now my XP computer is about to be deleted and I tried to re - install CS4 on my Win7 machine. Once again - same problem.

I have a Studio 8 serial number... and Studio MX too. But neither in the drop-down list.

  • Information on the CS4 Design Premium update

I just installed CS4 Design Premium on my early 2008 Mac Pro with 2 GB of RAM and a lot of hard disk space.  At the end of installation, I ran Adobe Updater 6.2.0.1474 (created 21, 2008 Ot) that was installed with the rest of the Design Premium Suite.  It seemed that nothing has been last updated by it, but I couldn't be sure.  I went to the Adobe site and searched "Updater" and downloaded a "Update Manager" that the site proposed as the only result of my research.  This file downloaded installed an "Adobe Updater" that has been created in 2008!  I tried not to run it because it doesn't seem to be updated.

I saw a newsletter today, July 31, 2009, at MacFixit that produces a link to a page of Adobe website that is dated today!  This page shown links to the individual updates for Acrobat, Adobe Air, and Flash.  Without MacFixit, I would never know it existed.

My experience today with the Adobe update service is mind-boggling.  Heavy is a kind word for her.  It would seem that the mere presence of an app called Updater would do exactly this - update of the entire suite CS4 Design.  Is this really the purpose of this app?  It work?  What is the latest incarnation of the Updater?

I see where some people have mentioned on the forum that they are usually manually updating.  Why?  You confirm my suspicion that the CS4 update is not to be trusted?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm new to this game was updated following the scale and I need advice from more experienced people.  Please advise this noobie on more reliably update to update this beautiful suite of applications.  Thank you.

  • WINDOWS UPDATE I have install the same updates

Recently, I have restored my computer Windows Vista to factory default.  I loaded all updates (a few at a time) and all have been completed successfully.  Now, it looks like WINDOWS UPDATE is having me reinstall the same updates, as they reappear on the list of updates to be added.  Please tell us what to do.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
    5. Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

I am running windows 7 on my laptop last night, that he day and when it's over he did not start the screen flashes and does not start I tried to do a restore of the system without any look can someone help thanks

    Original title: update

    Hi David,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    a. you have any Windows 7 installation media?

    b. What is the update's KB number?

[To see which articles updates failed, try the following steps:]
    a. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
[ b. in the left pane, click view update history.]

If the update number is KB3097877, then reinstall the update KB should solve the problem. However, as you can not reach your office, I would first run auto repair with installation media and see if it helps you repair system files or not. For the execution of the task, I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps.

    Method 1

When you use the recovery environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot startup issues, first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If this does not resolve the problem, or if you have additional problems manually, use the Bootrec.exe tool.

Because you cannot start the computer, you may need to create a bootable Windows installation media, and then do an auto repair, and if this does not help then you try to restore your computer to the previous date.

Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

If you are using Windows 7 then the link provided below might help you to download and create installation media.

Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)

    Method 2

If the problem persists, try to rebuild the BCD by using the Bootrec.exe tool. To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows recovery environment (Windows RE) . To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Place the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    2. Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
    3. Click repair your computer.
    4. Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.
    6. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

See the following link for more information:

How to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows

If you are able to reach the office, and then try to Uninstall then reinstall the KB3097877 update and check if it helps resolve the issue permanently.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • CS4 update - still using CS3?

I currently have CS3, and I think I have the CS4 Update. I know not if I buy the software regular CS4, I'll be able to use CS3 AND CS4, but I wonder if this is also true if I get the CS4 update. I've never updated before, so I don't really know how it works. There are parts of CS3 that I prefer on CS4 (and), so whether to buy the upgrade means that I can't use both on the same computer, so I prefer not getting CS4 at all.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, you can still use both versions after the upgrade.

The upgrade does not affect the earlier version, it is a complete installation in a separate folder under Program Files.

You may not have both versions running simultaneously , but this is hardly a drawback.

(Most of the features of CS4 can be added in).

  • Disable the CS4, CS5 keep update on the computer, reinstall CS4 on another computer?

I recently installed the CS5 upgrade on my work computer and it has not removed the CS4 apps I had previously. Is it possible to disable the CS4 version and install it on another computer? That way I could run CS5 on this computer and CS4 on another at the same time?

Whereas Rafrafi Kulshresthaof response may be technically correct, it ignores the fact that you cannot Ungroup a version upgrade of the upgrade itself. After using a version of an Adobe application for an upgrade, you have effectively invalidated your license of the previous version except for the system that you have upgraded. In other words, in this case, you can let CS4 on the system that you upgraded to CS5, but by the end user license agreement, you cannot install, activate and use CS4 on another computer at the same time!

  • Uninstall CS4 does not not because the bridge/Updater 'open '.

    But they are not.

I'll have some really funky issues with CS4 and the only way I know maybe fix is to uninstall and reinstall.

My problem: the program will not uninstall because said bridge and Updater are open.   But they are not.

    Help, please!

When you installed your files backed up from the backup, you also install the CS4 or have you installed from the disc PS CS4?

If you have run from the backup, I think that the installation had been botched.

What I would do is disable CS4. Choose to disable that if your installation on another computer. The CS4 and then re-install. Reinstall the software as an administrator. When you insert the disc do not run. Free to explore and find the photoshop file. in this file, locate the .exe file. Right click on that and choose Run as administrator.

But before you install you want to run the CS4 clean script. Follow the instructions, but there is a level 1 or level 2 cleaning. Type 3 and clean.

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html

    Run the microsoft Cleanup utility

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301

Download and run CCleaner to locate and delete all persistent files. It's free and works very well

    http://www.CCleaner.com/

If you have Adobe reader is installed, remove it. Sometimes it causes CS4 installation issues.

    Disable any antivirus software.

If on Vista or Windows 7 disable Windows defender. You can keep the firewall.

When installing CS4, you don't have to install CS3 or CS2. Just type in CS2 or CS3 serial numbers when asked.

When installing CS4 to 90 percent, the installation hangs for about 10 minutes. It's normal.

Restart after installing CS4. After restart right-click on PS CS4 on the start menu where the programs are shown. Click Properties, compatibility, then run as admin check. Hit apply and then ok to close. Launch Photoshop and update.

If you can defragment before and after installing CS4.

Please let me clarify, are saying you that CS4 will ask me to insert the disc of items during installation?  If so, that would be great!
