Reinstall the necessary updates?

I restored my computer to an earlier date, the current proposed updates were installed last month. I have to reinstall, or what I do on the updates to the installation?

When you perform a restore, you take it back until these updates have been installed.

They must be reinstalled.

See you soon. Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner

  • Cannot access the necessary updates

I just reformat the hard drive on my computer and reinstalled the operating system from the disk provided with the computer system.  At the time I bought the computer operating system is Windows XP SP2. I'm trying to access updates needed to bring the BONES to the current version of Windows XP SP3 but cannot access necessary updates.  I did it for another computer I have about 3 months ago and had no problem doing this.  Now, whenever I try to access the necessary updates, I get a message that says the site cannot open the page I am trying to open. This happens on Windows Update and Microsoft Update. How can I solve this problem?

Update: it is now much simpler to Windows Update.

Microsoft doesn't have a single update to Windows 7 in the whole of 2015 that improves your computer or Windows 7.  It would be unwise to expect that they will never again.

I'll make the presumption that Microsoft will be at least honest enough to not dress up Windows 10 updates of Windows 7 computers that are labeled security.

So, my recommendation on how to manage the Windows Update process everything became easier.

When you manually start Windows Update, and it presents its list for you:

In the Windows Section of this list, right click and hide each Windows Update which is not labeled security.

This way you will keep Windows 7 as secure as Microsoft is ready (and engaged) to provide, but cannot sneak Windows 10 in your computer.  You don't have to keep track of lists or get updates to this list.

I am trying to load the applications, I boxed shaped using discs.

Oh Oh no in this new mac disc tray. Ive tried to use remote drive connected to my old mac, but the new mac will not install the disk say that it is a powerpc application.

I don't have a full version of adobe CS1 and everything else up to CS4 are updated.

How can I get this on the new imac?

Surely if I have all my amendments serial. etc., Adobe may provide these files for download online.

Anyone know a way around this? Help, please

No need to download and install full versions of old software in order to re-install CS4. Just install the update directly from CS4. It contains the complete program code - serial number indicates the installation program if you have a full version or an upgrade. Enter your serial number CS4 upgrade, and then enter your serial number CS3 or CS2 when you are prompted.

    Download CS4 http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

Follow the Instructions of the very Important on this page first before you click on the download links.

Install then enter followed by your CS3 or CS2 serial number CS4 serial number.

  • I've deleted and reinstalled .NET Framework, but it cannot update from the Windows update site.

I had a problem with Net Framework and ran a deleted program recommended to Skydrive, that worked. I then re-installed Net Framework but I am unable to update as it is stated on the Windows site: www.update.microsoft.com. The site identifies the necessary updates and installs.

Download and install the .net updates manually. Use of the KB number listed for each update and then perform a search using google for download. Example: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=1241

  • WINDOWS UPDATE I have install the same updates

Recently, I have restored my computer Windows Vista to factory default.  I loaded all updates (a few at a time) and all have been completed successfully.  Now, it looks like WINDOWS UPDATE is having me reinstall the same updates, as they reappear on the list of updates to be added.  Please tell us what to do.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
    5. Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.
