    Re-installing Dell inspiron 19 has windows 7

    People,

I have a Dell Inspiron 19. The Dell of Dell diagnostics disk utilities & drivers say all right. It is a Seagate 320 GB drive. I installed the drive on another computer and used sea tools to erase the disc.  Then I created a partition and marked as "bootable".

When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.  A few pixels logo show and then it's there.  Any ideas?  I worked on it for several days.  Really a "stumper" for me and I did something like that for years!

Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer.  After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

  • Desktop H500s put in the disk hard windows 10 from another OPERATING SYSTEM PC - ERROR CODE 1962 - No.

I tried to replace the current hard drive with the disc provided with windows 10 from another PC.

I have is after having swapped the hard drive. The system cannot load Windows 10 and displays this message "ERROR CODE 1962 - No. OPERATING SYSTEM".

The main reason I like to swap the drive is because it is a larger and faster disk and it come with Windows 10 Enterprise license. Instead of my current hard drive of Levono who only 8.1 Windows

I understand that the pilot is maybe a problem. But, I should at least be able to see the Windows screen and I can fix it the driver, instead of the message "ERROR CODE 1962 - No. OPERATING SYSTEM"

Note: I did I tried to put this disc in the CD player, I've found, it can read the disc. Therefore, should not be SATA non-compliance issue.

    Any suggestion?

    Hope to hear the suggestion

  • Setup removes the junction point NTFS redirect the folder system "\Windows\Installer" on another disk.

On a computer running Windows XP Professional SP3, I redirected the "\Windows\Installer" system folder, with a junction to a record point in a tree of directories to a different drive.  The operation was conducted and verified using "junction v1.06 - creator of junction point analysis viewer and Windows' published in 2010 by Mark Russinovich. I moved all the files and subdirectories contained in the original "\Windows\Installer' in the target directory (the these files had been previously copied to a temporary directory and after the move, I checked that they were visible in the folder '\Windows\Installer' open the symbolic link with the Explorer).
Then I launched a system patch, and I discovered that the installation of the update of the software deleted program point junction that I created, deleted all the cache contained in the directory with the name of substitute target different files and recreated the "\Windows\Installer" folder in the original disc.
I tested this behaviour a couple of times, installing various software and updates, so I assume that it does not depend on the software that is installed but the installation program itself, which cannot handle a point of junction of the folder "install".
No warning is given before deleting the junction point and all of its contents.  With a similar procedure, I made two points of junction for '\Windows\Downloaded facilities' and '\Windows\Microsoft.NET' and they have exploited properly.
Out of understanding points do not work on startup, so it is impossible to redirect for example. :

    • \Windows
    • \Windows\System32
    • \Windows\Config

"\Windows\Installer" isn't one of those cases, and it is not used at startup.

Is it possible to use a junction point to redirect the \Windows\Installer on another disk/partition folder, or Setup will always delete all the files that have been targeted in the naming of replacement?

  • I get a message saying that windows has detected another computer on this network. I have another computer could be this one

I get the message windows has detected another computer on this network.i have another computer could be this one and is it a problem?

    Hello

1 have you added the other computer on the network?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    3. When do you have this error code or error message?

The computer has detected in the network may be the other that you have, you will need to check the network and check the name of the computer. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
You can get a new IP address from your computer. You will need to do if you encounter connection problems.

    a. Click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

    c. enough at the command prompt ipconfig and press ENTER. This frees up your current IP address.

    d. ipconfig / renew in command prompt and press ENTER.

The DHCP configuration for all adapters is renewed. To renew the IP address for a
specific adapter, type the name of the map that appears when you type ipconfig at the command prompt.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists and you have not Windows Vista Service Pack installed
then you can refer to the link below and check if you use the fix passes solve you the problem.

  • I bought a new hard drive. I don't have a system recovery disk. Can I load Windows Vista from another source and activate using my original product key?

I bought a new hard drive. I don't have a system recovery disk. Can I load Windows Vista from another source and activate using my original product key?

    Hello

There is no download available from Microsoft Vista.

Contact the manufacturer of your laptop and ask them to send a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key determines which Edition is installed.

Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    See you soon.

p.s. If the old hard drive is still installed and running before you change on hard drives and you never received the to purchase recovery discs, you can make the recovery discs from the recovery Partition which should be on the old hard drive. You will need to request that the manufacturer how to do as each computer manufacturer has their own way of making records of this partition recovery.

It depends on the old hard drive still works.

I have an old Acer (3 yrs Old) computer that has win 7 Home Pre. installed. The computer died and is no longer functional. Can I use the key I want to re - format and install Windows 7 on another computer?

    Not on computers preinstalled

The activation key belongs to the Assembly of the computer if it shows a tag oem on the bottom or the side of the case.

If you have a lot of detail with an activation key and dvd it might work

    Hello

After a reinstall of the operating system, you must reinstall the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer's website:

Go to the website to make your computer > Driver and Software Support Section > search your computer or hardware model number > then your operating system > locate the correct drivers > download and install.

    ________________________________________

And you do not tell us why you did a reinstall and if there reboot/freeze before you did this reinstall.

FYI: Desktop computers normally are Wi - fi unless you install additional hardware for this.

    ________________________________________

Noise inside a desktop computer can be caused by fan/s or harddrives about to fail.

Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > search your computer specifications > know brand of hard drive > access the Hard Drive manufacturer's Web site > find and download hard drive Diagnostic software and make a record of start of it on the computer that you use to get here, following their instructions > test your hard drive...

Can I use the Windows key from another computer non-working on my computer? I took the key of this computer and used on my current computer, but I get a message indicating that the key is not authentic, even if it is directly from a previously active computer.

    Hello

No.; If the operating system on the other came computer preinstalled (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) you can't use it on another PC.

If the laptop/computer came with preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), this product key provided with your computer/laptop to the OEM license preinstalled and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) is related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when dies of this machine.

Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.
