  You're hurting. You can not install Windows from Windows.
  You must boot from the Windows CD to do so. And to boot from the
  CD, the CD must be first in the boot order. If it is not first of all, you
  have to go into the BIOS Setup program to change.

  When you start from the CD, simply follow the guests for a cleaning
  installation. The new facility will begin formatting the
  drive and it does not look or how carefully SP version you have
  installed.

  And note that reinstalling Windows itself will result in loss of
  everything on the disk, so make sure you you have a backup on external
  media of all the data you need. Your programs should all be
  reinstalled from their original media.

  I have a hp and dell. I went back two of them to the original os. I have the discks for each of them. However, the dell has a disc to reload the drivers. All I have with the CV is the operating system, Documentation CD and CD of Diagnostics and restore hp more cd. I put restore plus CD first, then reloaded the operating system. I don't think that all drivers have been downloaded because I can not connect to internet. Any help with this?

I tried unsussfully to set it up again.   Well my hard drive is dead, so got a replacement one. I'm not so innocently, I thought that, just down load the drivers from the website of the original dvd.
  So did all of this and the raid has yet to see! Changed the settins to raid in the bios that you get by pressing ESC, then the default values, restart and go back into bios goto page 3 - which is so visible. Make sure that the disc is set to1raid0 - download the manual, but you must agree to any change in typing 1234 when it asks for a string from the manual. Anyway did all that - still no visible drive - so which continues.

  Well apparently there are 2 sets of pilots kr10n and kr10i - that givesyou site is kr10n drivers. That may work for the most recent, but not mine! My laptop needs the kr10i which I can't find on the site tosiba. BUT http://download.cnet.com/raid-drv-20070719134547-zip/3000-18492_4-174094.html or you can google for raid-drv-20070719134547

  The steps for me were so use nlite to add the drivers of kr10i on a WinXP SP3 patched cd and start using that. It was work related.

  After that, everything went great! Well, I didn't have much hair initially, but even less after having finished the process.

  You can install XP from installing XP, but you need to maybe go online with another computer and download the network drivers (put it on a USB key) and install those first. From there, you can do just that with the new PC. You can visit the Web site of the manufacturers of drivers for everything.

  Most, if not all, stuff on the CD are available online. It's just get online which can be the first hurdle.

Now, I suggest that you first check the Win10 Device Manager and note devices and models numbers that seem to have problems. Because the laptop has more working network adapters, you must do a google search from another computer for updated Win10 drivers that you can download for each device problem. For some systems, this can be a long and formidable process. If it were mine, I would upgrade to Win 7 as fast as I could.
