Reinstalling VMWare server after every restart (Vista 64-bit)

Hello

Been about it: http://communities.VMware.com/thread/182240?TSTART=0

netstat shows port 8333.

Services - all except Host Agent are started. From host Agent does not help.

After you have reinstalled the server, works very well until the next reboot.

Please help.

1 Check host VMware Agent - should run.

2. try: https://127.0.0.1:8333 or https://localhost:8333 or https://computername:8333

3. If the above doesn't work, try the same thing but http://127.0.0.1:8222 or http://localhost:8222 or http://computername:8222

J.

Journal BTW check VMware server and the Windows system log for errors.

    After update from September 4 for Vista 32 bit on a dell Inspiron 1545 computer I get continuous blue screen with code 0 x 0000007.  I tried the Dell disk install Vista and went to an old system save on September 2 before the update, but still with the same problem.  Windows starts but as soon as I try to log in, go to the same blue screen.  Run Dell diagnostic programs shows no hardware problem.  I ran chckdsk also and fixed a few things but same result.  No matter who else have similar problems with this update.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    awesome! Well you all this that is functional. I don't know how you can get your screensaver back however.

    regarding the Mahjong game you must activate the functionality of your control and features Panel\Programs\Programs and click on the features of Windows turn on or off, then expand on games and checkmark the Mahjong - (I really should be paid for this - lol)...

    Hi brain Lorge,
    1. you remember of any change to your computer before the problem?
    2. what problems are you having with DW20.exe and Hotfixinstaller.exe?
    I suggest that you follow these steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

    a. start your machine in safe mode and check if the problem occurs at startup.
    (b) in addition, one side safer, run a full scan of the system to remove malware in safe mode, then start in normal mode and check if your computer crashes.

    Step 2:

    There could be a third-party software conflict causing problems occur. I would like you to put your machine in a clean boot State in order to eliminate conflicts of third party software.

    Note: Don't forget to restart your computer in normal condition after you download the update in the clean boot state

  • Reinstall Windows 7 after upgrading to Vista?

    I have my old watch office that I've upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and after 4 years I want to reinstall Windows 7 to start fresh. The Vista that was on it, I have the disc Version of OEMs and for Windows 7, I have the disk that was given to me by the technology that made the upgrade for me after that he did the upgrade. It was made by the upgrade online. J' have the product keys for both. My question is: what I have to reinstall the Vista using the disk of Vista (and key) and then go back and reinstall Windows 7 using the Windows 7 disc (and key) or can I just do a custom installation using the disc of Windows 7 only and the product key for this? I just want to wipe all of my drive and start again with nothing other than the Windows 7 above. I've moved to Windows 8 on my new computer, but want to keep my old machine running Windows 7 (I'm sure that all your diehard 7 users understand why!). Please let me know how to do this.

    Thank you

    Just make a custom installation:

    Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
    When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

    You will receive the following warning:

    The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

    (At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

    The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

    Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

    You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • My vista does not appear after you restart in 64-bit.

    This is what I'm guessing, is my problem. When I opened my laptop this morning, windows Explorer has stopped responding, so I stopped him via the Manager tasks. When I restarted it, it was in 34 bits. He told me that all my items cannot be displayed unless I had a higher screen resolution. How can I return my 64bits? Please please help, everything is stretched and looks that I have XP.
    Also, when I close my laptop, it does not in mode 'sleep'. Would be a restoration of the system help/fix this?

    Hello

    It seems that there is a change that has done something to your graphics card driver. There are some possible steps to get it working again.

    1) update or reinstall your display/video card driver
    (2) do a system restore to a time before this problem.

    To update the driver, click Start and right click on computer and select manage. Click on Device Manager and expand the graphics card. Right click on the adapter that is listed and select software update of the driver...
    You can also on the manufacturer's website and download and install the latest driver for them.

    To restore the system to a point in time before this problem, follow these steps:
    Click on START and type > system restore > press enter
    If the recommended restore point is not enough back away, use the option "choose a different restore point.

    I hope that helps

    If TI recovery on the drive to factory settings, start you with him.

    Read the info below and contact the manufacturer of your computer for the exact way to do it.

    Vista Media recovery obtaining and/or using the Vista recovery on your computer Partition to factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the computer repair option
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
