• Reissue of links images in InDesign CS3 does not work

  When I have an image that needs to be reprinted for the moment, I go to my links palette and double click on the name of the image. When the 'Link information' box appears, there is a button "Repeat" on the lower right. In CS3, for some reason, it allows me to click on it, but completely but won't let me not recreate a link to the image. This is the first time in 3 years of use of CS3, I have encountered this problem. Is there a fix, do I have to reload the program, change the preferences?

  So now, whenever I have to recreate a link to an image update, I have to close the file and reopen it to automatically update the links or click the link at the bottom of the links Panel and then it pops up the file folder box.

  If only the balance changed in the clips, you can use copy and paste attributes.

  If other settings have changed, you cannot use Paste attributes like these settings will also change

• First Pro CC you can manipulate an image in a sequence of images at all?

  

  The Earth above is part of a sequence of images second 10 with the yellow line (representing a satellite) is progressing on the Earth.

  Is it possible to CHANGE the Earth on the LEFT SIDE of the chassis using the tools in the first?      Or should I use Photoshop first using "batch file" feature of Photoshop to re position images of the sequence on the left (using shift) then re import back in first sequence?

  Select all the images and the 'nest', their movement add to the nest.

  Why is this happening?  It's really disturbing... This happens usually when I make my sequence - it goes all haywire proportions wrong when rendering with transparent nested sequence above all.

  Sigh.  I thought about it.  These are my pains of the transition from FCP to Premiere Pro.
  Apparently the regardless of the default settings I had rendering changed somehow the proportions of my original clips.
  I have re-jiggered rendering in the preferences of the sequence parameters, and the new renders a snippet you want on-site.

  So it's not a bug squarely in the first, more just a user error mixed with some default settings in rendering first clumsy.

• How to get rid of border around the linked image in IE?

  Still developing my page and I wanted to see what it looks like ona a few different computers.  I've linked the images as part of my bar side/nav bar.  In Firefox on my machine

  the images are as I want them to be... sitting in the border sidebar with no individual border around them.  If I watch on another computer with Firefox

  If I look in IE, each image has its own black border around the image (which I assume is because I put them in place in the form of links).  How can I change the

• "Save Image under" continues to change directories

  "Save Image under" continues to change the location, it saves the file. As I go through the different pages and save some images, I noticed that sometimes it saves where I expect to, (the location that I recently selected when saving an image), but very often in the same session (which means that I've not closed and restarted FF), he decided to change the location of a directory that I used earlier , at the place where this has saved the previous file.

  I thought it would be something like a scenario, I opened 1-5 tabs, save images to A location. Then I save a file at location B, open 6 to 10 pages, save a file to the location a new. At this point, I expect that my files by default to A location, but perhaps pages 6 to 10 are now held B that are associated with them and they will default it there instead. I just test that and this isn't.

  It is also not extension (.jpg, .gif) that forces the change of location. I can't understand what triggers it.

  Does anyone know if there is another topic: config that we can change, (which replaces no doubt the next FF update in 5 minutes) to restore the appropriate behavior?

  This behavior started with the upgrade to 7 FF.

  
  

• Button "Exit", used in several images of the sequence

  I hope that there is a more elegant way to do...

  See the VI attached for a much simplified program that is typical of what I am trying to accomplish.  Basically I have a button that I want available in several images in the sequence.  In this case, I used a button "quit".  When you press on, the program passes by remaining sequence frames until it ends.  The last image "unclicks" the button "Exit".  This last image is necessary because I had to put the mechanical action of the Exit button for "switch when released" because I used local variables in all the images in the sequence after the first.

  Is there a way I can accomplish the same functionality of this program without using local variables and/or during the definition of the mechanical action of the 'exit' switch to ' lock releasing?  Specifically, I'm looking for solutions that will work in several images of a structure of stacked sequence (I realized there are ways for the three lights without using a structure of stacked sequence, but I'm not interested in doing).

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

  Something where you're looking at a sequence of steps, you really recommended using a state machine architecture.  (Search the forums for examples).

  Having several structures event with cases duplicated in different settings of a structure of stacked sequence (it would be a little better if you used a structure rather flat sequence), only to request trouble on the road.

  When I look at my nails of the thumb of the photos files do not preview the images, just a generic image. Can I change this? Just had my hard drive replaced, and they have installed a version of vista for dell instead of sony. This could be a problem?

  Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View / and find the box always "show icons, never thumbnails" and uncheck the box.  You may need to restart (not sure).  This will then display thumbnails for your pictures instead of the generic icon.  It is possible, that it's the default value set by the installation disc that they used when your drive has been replaced.

• How to replace just one on 3 identically linked images?

  I looked for a solution for several hours now, and I couldn't find a way to solve this problem.

  1. I created a PSD file in which I placed 3 pictures (all related to the same external image).
  2. Then I needed to replace one of these three images, linking to a different external image. But this is not possible: whenever I highlight a linked image in the layer panel and choose to replace its contents (you can also re - link), all the 3 images are replaced.

  It seems that Photoshop doesn't care image that is highlighted, it always takes into account that I want to replace myimage.jpg in one place, I would also like to replace in other locations.

  Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem? (I use Photoshop CC 2015)

  Ah, I've found a workaround: contrary to what I wrote "file and incorporate" works if that's how you insert images right from the start.

  However, if you insert images with 'place and link file', and then stir through the context menu - the replacement ghost effect is still there. Stupid.

  (In fact, it is also stupid for linked files. "But at least I have now a workaround).

• Linked images, causing color problems

  I have before noticed when font rendering problems an integrated/linked image is present, but I think they've always resolved themselves on export. While annoying when using the program, I'm just glad that they cause no problem of production!

  But I can't ignore my current problem because it is to shake my way color and roughness text - even when you export to PDF! Basically, if there is a raster image in the document (linked or embedded) the colors just this page all become less 'bright '.

  I JUST realized when creating this link Viewer PDF from Google Chrome does not display the wrong colors, only when the preview with the Adobe (InDesign and Acrobat to date) programs.

  I found a solution that doesn't involve additional measures. In your file before sending it to print, instead of stir, use object > flatten transparency. It has the same effect to break the link, without weighing down the lines. At least it doesn't work when I try it with your file here (I downloaded it).

  My style of work is to place 16-bit raster images in Illustrator and work with typography on them. After I finished I just export the work directly in Illustrator for print. Now I'm starting to get very concerned about the quality of the output of my linked images, since all the files exported from Illustrator (no matter the file type) have 8 bits per pixel. I have 2 questions about it:

  1. should I continue to export files from illustrator as files for final printing? Or should I place the vector part (made in Illustrator) for Photoshop and save it for printing here? Or is there anything else I should know about this BitPerPixel conversion?

  2. whenever I have put a vector image (8-bit and 16-bit) to illustrator, it shows 24 bit in info-> images related document. Why is this happening?

  Worry about anything. I know of no method cannot start 16-bit printing - cannot even the best inkjets with all their nano and tricks dithering drops. However, this is in itself contains the answer. Ultimately it doesn't matter how deep, for printing what questions how the color is perceptively transformed, which means

  (a) how fine / dense the raster is

  (b) how pigmented / saturated / opaque each ink or the halftone spot is

  (c) the properties of the print substrate transmittance are understood

  What is color and profiles they are intended. They can use 16-bit or even float values to improve the mathematical accuracy, but ultimately most of the time a single channel of ink will not even exhausted the number of levels that could be expressed with 8 bits. As for example offset inks have a specific viscosity preventing them from feeling lower points to a specific size or below a certain opacity, the printing plate, and therefore color used to create the profile would have to obey these physical limitations, restricting the range of possible variations. So in the end, all that matters is having a correct color profile and workflow built around itself to be able to control how a high resolution image is transformed into a color space low range. Of course there may be potential to improve your performance by being part of this in Photoshop, but it really depends on the details...
