Reliable message of guard - performance issues - of the data?

Hello, we are on 10.2.0.3 (I know, time to upgrade, just can't right now). Data Guard is in place, in AVAILABILITY of maximum production work that was ongoing for 3 years once a week with no problems started taking 10 + hours. He used to take 2 hours Max checked, everything, nothing has changed. Ran AWR report and see that the high wait event is a RELIABLE MESSAGE:
Top 5 Timed Events

Event Waits Time(s) Avg Wait(ms) % Total Call Time Wait Class
CPU time   45,270   97.5
*reliable message 2,655 534 201 1.1 Other*

db file scattered read 122,914 287 2 .6 User I/O
LGWR wait on LNS 35,511 209 6 .4 Network
Is - this Data Guard? What can we do to fix this? I dropped the day before, tried to re - run this job and still have high reliable message:
Top 5 Timed Events

I don't understand much about Metalink. If I dropped the day before, newspapers are not speeding it more, shouldn't that have improved performance? Or should I disable the configuration to test any scenario Data Guard in this case? In the last configuration disabeling required re-buillding DG however. Please notify. What is the reliable message? Thank you!

My bad. You are right, they are 10MB.

I have galanced bytes and somehow added an extra 0.

The 200 MB comes from the query - 'optimal_logfile_size = 201.

The rule of the 20 minutes of CKPT is good, but sometimes the databases have a peak period, which is only about half a day.

10 MB is a bit small, I consider what makes them great. At least 100 MB.

I remember you, you had the 'Data Guard - total loss of primary education"question just now.

Best regards

  • Performance issues at the opening of business rule

    Hello

We work in collaboration with Hyperion version 9.2.1 and we have performance issues when opening the business rules. I have analyzed the issue and discovered that it has something to do with the assignment of access privileges to the rule.

The authorisation scheme looks like as follows:

User A is assigned to the group G1
User B is assigned to the Group G2
Group G1 is assigned to the XYZ group
Group is assigned to the XYZ group G2
Group XYZ is the owner of the 'basic user' delivery to the planning application.

Without attributing any unrestricted access the rule company opens immediately.
By assigning the privilege to access the group G1/G2 (post or get) the business rule opens immediately.
By assigning access privilege to the XYZ group the business rule opens after 2-5 minutes.

Anyone has an idea why this happens and how to fix this?

    Kind regards
    ULI

This was a problem with the business rules for quite some time. Oracle made front and rear markets in later versions than yours; and they have issued patches address, if it is not completely solved the problem. Finally things seem to be much better in 11.1.1.3, although YMMV.

  • Performance issue with the submodels

    Hello
I'm working on submodels and my requirement needs only one main calling location several specific submodels (a location may have several own submodels, e.g.: US_subtemp1, US_subtemp2, US_subtemp3... in the same way to other locations).
I would like to know is there any performance issue associated with calls in the submodels and on how this decrease in performance can be minimized.

    Kind regards
    Arvind

Use of the submodels with components imported alongside repeated sections in the main template layout is not recommended when the number of repetitions is high and the size of the document is large. BI Publisher optimize the xsl transformation internally, but it is not applied to xsl inside models of void.
One of the extreme scenario is a main model set only a repeating section that matter a submodel of the header and the footer.
A body of the repeating section is defined in the subtemplate. In this scenario, there is no xsl optimization made and you can easily see some differences in performance.

As long as you don't need to repeat the layouts of submodels, you don't need to worry about this performance issue.

  • performance issue with the Oracle SQL query

    Dears

    Good evening

I am new to begin to use Oracle SQL, I have a sql query which takes longer to run in production.

Each table in the query contains 1.2 million records and DBA suggested using the "Oracle - tips. I don't have good knowledge on this subject and the difficulties to implement this advice for imrpovise performance. In the product the jobs Informatica are failed and stuck with this problem of query performance.

I ask this forum for an emergency for me to solve this problem by using "advice". kindly help me.

  • Performance issue with the method extract in 11g

I am new to Oracle XML DB. I'm having a problem with an example simple Java application designed to test the response time. I can't find an answer to this question.

It takes about 1/2 second, whenever my Java client makes a call to the method "extract" of XMLType. Extract is called 3 times for each row returned in a result set. It takes 1 1/2 seconds to process 1 line. With a result set of 55 lines, it takes about 1 1/2 minutes to process the entire result set.

It seems to me that an appeal must be get done to retrieve the data from the server to each snippet of time is called. This performance is unacceptable and will not evolve. This seems to be a lazy loading problem that could be treated with the configuration; but I still need to find something specific documented.

Is there something that can be done to solve this problem or is it typical performance?

I use a binary XML storage. I created a XMLIndex; but it made no difference. Does not seem like an indication that much of a difference, since the problem occurs when you access XML different values in the same line...

The extract method is implemented in the classes of the JAVA API provided by the Oracle client installation.

Just to clarify things, this forum is related to a feature in the Oracle database. The API you mentioned and you use are provided by another group within Oracle (I think). In addition, the used API .extract does its job fully without communicating with the DB. You can check this to hard code in an XML response and disconnect your computer from the network before you run the logic of analysis and it would continue to operate.

The fact that this method is removed must have something to do with its inefficiency

The disapproval that I mentioned is only in what regards the SQL in the Oracle DB. As noted above, the used API lives under a different set of rules, so I can't speak to that. There is probably a forum for the API, but I haven't been looking.

Back on topic, a possible rewrite for your SQL statement is (untested)

    select aex.APPLICATION_NAME, aex.VERSION, aex.EVENT_TYPE, xt.sendingSite, xt.receivingSite, xt.eventID
      from AUDITED_EVENT_XML aex,
           XMLTable('/*/MSH'
                    PASSING aex.xml_event_content
                    COLUMNS
                    sendingSite VARCHAR2(20) PATH 'MSH.4/HD.2',
                    receivingSite VARCHAR2(20) PATH 'MSH.6/HD.2',
                    eventID VARCHAR2(20) PATH 'MSH.10'
     where EVENT_TYPE = ?

If you have problems with this, just after a small sample XML and someone can twist where I was wrong.

  • Continuously perform calculations on the data

    Hey guys,.

So I have this program that generates pulses of signals using NOR-SCOPE, and I initially did so that each time that the user presses a button that they will perform certain calculations in order to generate a value that is stored in a table. My mentor now wants me to do so that it generates continuously pulse signals (not a single signal) and adds the values in a table. The signal seems so I need to use the parameter N samples on NI SCOPE as it does in the code below, although if anyone has a way to change this, it would be nice too.

So basically, how can I calculate continuous pulse generated automatically over time signals? The user does not have to run the program and the computer does the rest.

    Thank you!

You must migrate to a structure of producer/consumer. In the loop of the producer acquire the data contimuously and pass it to the loop of consumption. In the loop of the consumer, analyze the data and store the data as needed.

A variation on the theme that I recommend is that instead of using a queue to pass data, use a user-defined event. The reason for this change is that your current code (which is basically what will end up in the loop of the consumer) is so pass data to loop through an event will allow him to fit into the current structure of the user interface.

Oh, Yes, one more thing: get rid of the Express live. It's time to remove the training wheels...

  • Performance issue with the Update statement

    Oracle 10204

I have a problem related to updaing one performance table.
only 5000 lines should be updated.
Hir are some details on the tables/M.V concerned:

    NAP_INTERNET     1/25/2010 11:47:02 AM     7053990          560777
I tried to run the update with two options:
    1. with the plan than oracle choose.
    2. with notes I added.
In both cases I he collapsed after more than an hour.

Can any one suggest how to speed it up?

The problem in your update statement that is the query in your set clause is executed many times that there are lines in BL_TMP_INTRNT of 'intellectual property' in their column of term_desc. You mentioned there are about 5000, then the query joining NAP_INTERNET with PS_RF_ISNT_PROD is begun 5000 times.
The trick is to join only once, be updated using join views - provided that it is preserved - key or by using the merge statement.

    Here is an example:

    SQL> create table bl_tmp_intrnt (fix_ip_user,service_uid,term_desc)
      2 as
      3 select level

  • Performance issue with the query when join OKS and tables of the IB

    Hello

I'm developing an integration for the automation of RMA through repair. The type of repair order is based on the details of the guarantee. This check must be made for each record.

  • Potential performance issue with the mobile app

    Hello

I'm working on a small mobile project to see how the view system and its performance.

To see what is happening with the objects, I tried the Profiler today and I was surprised to see that the Navigator object does not use view previous instances.

For example if I navigate between 2 displays the browser instead of using the 2 objects already created, it creates each time it's push() function is called.

Maybe there is something that I do not understand that it makes the behavior desired, if so can someone explain it to me please? If this isn't the case, then I'm worried about leaks memory after an intensive use of the views in the app.

I have to make it clear that I do not use any weird code that could disable the browser work properly, my app is less basic at this point and I'm also using weak references on each event listener to avoid problems of memory.

I didn't not try your code, but you could run this question: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-28396 , which was set after the beta version.

When I submit this page (CREATE/APPLY the CHANGES), ask it something about 3-4 seconds to submit.

When I delete the SHUTTLE of the form point, the sending process is very fast... say 1 sec...
so it takes more time when we have a SHUTTLE point with 2000 records.

So, how do I fix this perfomance?... any suggestions?

    Thank you
    Deepak

    Deepak,

When you have more number of records to select the list, Select Multi, elements of the shuttle, then it will take more time to render the page. In most cases, you cannot remove it.

Check the performance of the underlying query LOV. If it is a complex query, no doubt, you can see his plan to explain and you can enter.

Alternatively, you can move this deadline to the popup page. I want to say, create a custom page to pop up and provide multi select such items from the shuttle on this page. Allow the user to select the point of shuttle options in the popup page and return values selected to main page shape :)

    See you soon,.

  • Error message when you try to update the date of birth for child

My kids already have Apple Id.

I'll put up the family sharing and added them to the family using their Apple ID.

The year of birth is not associated with their profile (guess it was not necessary at the time to create the profiles).

So I try to update the year of birth, following the instructions provided on several Apple Support pages, for example Apple for your child - Apple Support and sharing of the family IDthat says: "If your child already has an Apple ID, you can update their email address, date of birth, Securityand more."  (date of birth = > link: date of birth associated with update to your Apple - Apple Support ID)

BUT regardless of where and how I'm trying to update the birth year, I get the error message, it can not be updated at the moment...

    (screenshot Danish text)

How to upgrade to the year of birth? Or when it will be possible to do the update?

    Kind regards

    Michael

I understand that your child has had to date and that you will allow once you have received approval

  • Get the message of sufficient permissions to retrieve the data when I try to access Update Manager vCenter 5.5

I've recently upgraded to VMware 5.5 and I'm having a problem with the Update Manager for where it says I don't have permissions to use it.  The plugin installs fine without errors.  I myself install as administrator, but it still doesn't let me use it.  I am using vCenter to manage my guests.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

    Ty

To resolve this problem, update manager must be registered for the vCenter Server. This can be done by reinstalling Update Manager, but it can also be done without having to re - install.

    Step 1.

Remove vCenter update manager plugin by following VMware KB: suppression of the unwanted plugins to vCenter Server

    Step 2.

To connect to the server on which the Update Manager is installed

Open the Update Manager utility that is located in your Update Manager installation directory: VMwareUpdateManagerUtility.exe (located by default in C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\Update Manager\)

Select Save again with vCenter Server

Enter your credentials to the vCenter server and select apply

Once the operation is completed successfully, you are prompted to restart the Update Manager service.

  • HP Elitebook 8570p - Windows XP USB very slow and the transfer rate performance issues.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone else knows some performance issues with the HP Elitebook 8570p and Windows XP Pro - SP3.

I get a VERY slow start, general poor performance (waiting time when opening files and programs).

I asked to burn in tests that show that everything is good.

USB transfer rates are VERY slow (tried all ports of a Seagate FreeAgent USB drive, which works fine on other laptops etc.) for example a 30-minute transfer a 7gig single file of the USB HD on the desktop. Only 3 minutes to do the same on another laptop.

I think there are problems with the drivers, like Windows 7 works very well and does boot from a bootable USB.

USB transfer rate are also good when starting from a Windows boot environment.

I installed HP SoftPaq Download Manager, and all the drivers are up to date.

    Hello:

I think outside of the box here... Select the Intel (r) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller instead.

If it does not, I raise the white flag.

  • Version 6 of the Java performance issues

It's kind of a continuation of the following thread:

    Performance of Java 1.6

The question of the moose in the previous thread is not the issue. This is what came in the thread on the performace of Java 6 which I want to talk.

My question is, is there anything new about the performance issues associated with Discoverer Plus and Java version 6? In my office (and others will benefit from its interventions to the referenced thread), we have problems of considerable achievements with Discoverer Plus (web version) with a PC with Java 6 on them. Some symptoms are: no no not able ge before the login screen, severe downturn PC or PC locked alltogether. To work around these problems, we were push PCs to Java version 1.4.2. Do the restore immediately takes care of the problems of slowness, lock up or connection problems. However, some of our applications in our office now requires Java Version 6. People who need new applications cannot use great Discoverer, because their Java version (Java 6), causes the discoverer to bog down.

Is there a longer version and Java which took in charge the performance issues with the discoverer? Or maybe a patch. Our technicians helpdesk said that some versions of Java 6 had some security issues to consider. But as Java 6: update 11 had taken care of its security concerns. Update of Java 6 11 supported performance issues? Y at - it a patch for this version that made?

    Thank you

    Hello
Certainly there is a performance issue if you have Java 1.4 on the server and Java 1.6 on the workstation. I hope you have discoverer 10.1.2.2, 10.1.2.3 with CP1, 2, or 4 or less CP6, you need to update Java on your server to equalize it with the version on your workstations. Some will say that older versions of 10.1.2.2 ok to upgrade Java on but I'm not sure.

I recently mafe announcement on my blog which may help: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2009/04/be-careful-when-upgrading-to-java-16.html

You will also find interesting information in this note on MetaLink: 728452.1

Also, once you have upgraded your Java Server I recommend clearing the cache of Java on stations of local work and using Add/Remove programs to remove all older versions. Some people go as far as the removal of all versions of local Java that allows the server to discoverer of re - install the required version.

    Best wishes
    Michael
