  Contact Adobe technical support via chat and ask them to reset your activations.  If they are not able to they should be able to explain why it is not possible to reactivate it.

• Installation failed - error code 2 (CS4)

  

  I have PS CS4 installed and running on a new computer laptop HP Probook running Windows 7 Pro. The computer threw some error messages (I don't remember the details) and required a reboot. Which launched a system restore. Restoring get me during the execution, but PS was missing. I tried to reinstall and it failed. I did the following:

  1. multiple tries to install from the CD.

  2 system restore to the only date left after the crash (9-1), which was after the date I installed PS

  3 attempted to remove PS with Windows - does not entirely remove, shirts left.

  4A attempted to remove PS with Revo Installer (by HP tech support) - deleted the entries in registry, but files stored on disk.

  5. new installation attempt. Program goes through process but finished with errors - indicated "Code 2 error" and nothing else.

  6 PS and bridge now on the menu, but I get an error stating "among application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application.

  That won't work. HP has sent me to Adobe for help. Thoughts?

  Chicagodom using the system restore feature can often lead to some results/unexpected behavior.

• CS4 Web Premium Installation fails - Pemium Home Windows 7 64 bit

  I have a new computer running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. The first software I've tried to install was CS4 Web Premium. It cannot install after having worked for some time and apparently installed some of the parties under the now - failed to install major components such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.

If so, how could I do (just need to copy the contents of the installation DVD to the hard drive first?)

  Which specific component is responsible for, it's impossible to say without seeing the Setup logs and even then it may not appear, I'm afraid. Can be anything. People don't usually comes take knowledge, because when you have already installed many programs, chances are that it is already on your system. Also, make sure your Windows Event Viewer. If this is a generic error due to a missing DLL, it may appear here...

• Production Premium: PPro CS4 installation failing. Help?

  I had CS4 Production Premium and installed yesterday. And installed everything except PPro CS4 and it's functional components. At any time, I try to install it alone or with all the programs it says an error has occurred and it will fail to install. Help?

  Disable all antivirus, antispam software and the like, including Windows Defender. Uninstall all Adobe. Run the Clean Script Utility 2 or 3 times just to be sure (look here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406241.html) then reinstall and run all the updates. If this still doesn't work, post a screenshot of Process Explorer (look here: Utilities of Sysinternals ) with all of the running processes.

  While you're at it, consider adding at least 1 physical eSATA disk but 2 best, your system (assuming a laptop because of the mobility of the ATI version).

  After a reboot could enter the mode safe mode with internet connection.  able to restore good boot known beforehand.  But what normal start attempt would not start completely.  tried to reinstall from hidden factory partition.  07:34 minutes, the installation progessed.  then the machine stop.  When you restart get the message "error during installation, restart the computer, and then restart the installation."  When you try to start in safe mode, get error ' cannot install frrom SafeMode ".". "  I have no bootable cd.  to know about a 'platform of recovery' still tells CD also cannot install from this cd.   can I boot from a "devils of recovery" in safe mode and use the hidden partition to reinstall to factory settings as I tried the first time?  or do I need a full installation CD to get the machine to boot?   My question is should I at this stage of start-up during installation seems to have failed?

  me. surprised... the problem was that my power supply was low.   the adapter provided enough power for the laptop, most of the time.  but sometimes for laptop needs more power that the adapter could supply... so the laptop would be closed.   When I tried a different power adapter in a store, the fully charged laptop and my problem was solved.  lost a lot of time because I didn't know that the power supply was the problem!

  Try to reinstall CS4 after reinstallation of Windows 7 not accepted serial number which I assume is because its an upgrade from CS2. Tried loading to note that I need to install previous Photoshop CS2 (also an upgrade). How do I overcome this?

  I don't know if it will work, but the CS2 activation servers have been shut down. You can recharge CS2 following the instructions on this link, so maybe try to install your upgrade.

• CS4 relocation assistance

  After using is not CS4 for a few years, I tried running Photoshop and Dreamweaver on 10.9.2 but has not been able to get them running.

  I downloaded the installer for CS4 and hope to 'fix' the facilities but, when I run the Setup, the check boxes next to these apps are disabled.

  What is the best approach to be able to reuse my apps - uninstall them and then run the installation program, or y at - it a way to get the standard installation program to allow me to 'fix' the installation of the current system?

  Can you at least start the same application so you can't do anything before, it crashes?  If you can then you must disable the product first before uninstalling and put it back.  To disable it go to:

  HELP > DEACTIVATE

  If you are unable to launch the application to all so when you uninstall the product, make them sure you stay on the line so that the uninstallation program invites you to turn off, and it's all automatic.

  Once you have done this, you can use Adobe Cleaner tool to remove it completely from the system:

• Relocation of DW CS5 fails (missing installation file)

  I upgraded from Vista to Win 7 pro home (had to do a clean install).  Tried reloading Dreamweaver CS5 from a disc I burned after the original download.  Failed installation.  Advisor support gave me the following:

  I ran CCcleaner and restarted.  Nothing has changed.  I copied the DVD on my C drive and tried there.  No go.  The Adobe chat guy had a great response: "just buy the new version.  Sorry, but which is not instill a lot of confidence in the product.  I wanted to re - download the file but I can't find it anywhere now.  Can someone help me?
