  When I goto my Start menu and click on one of the many programs installed (including my web browser) I get the dialog box that appears "choose the program you want to open this file..."

• reminders and calendar iCloud are endangered

  Hey everybody,

  recently, I have the problem that all my iCloud calendars and reminders are missing from the respective programs. They are not on the left side more. However, in the preferences-> iCloud, everything seems to be okay and that I am connected. In addition, iCloud works in Contacts and in Safari. I have also no problem on the iPhone or iPad.

  I don't know how to get rid of this nasty problem. Help would be really appreciated.

  Try to go into System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing.

  Have you tried the signature to iCloud and then reconnect?

  I have Dell PowerEdge 830 with Netware 6.5 OS.

  I'm under ITA 8.1 and have Array manager 3.7 on the servers.

  It has worked fine logging all alerts, specific Netware and specific Dell hardware.  Now he has decided to do not even log anything apart from an itaAlertSystemDown and itaAlertSystemUp, when you restart the server.  I pulled a hard drive by the server and there is no warning.

  I got this job 2 days ago, but now it is simply stopped.  I have no configuration of filters to exclude.

  I am all of these ideas.  Could there be a service I need to start?

  It is always interesting to try a Hard Reset as follows.

  Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

  There are a couple of settings that may affect your alerts. Please make sure that your notifications are enabled for reminders and calendar. Go to settings > Notifications. Also, make sure you do not disturb is turned off by going to settings > do not disturb. Here is some additional information on notifications:

• Ringtones, ringtones of messages and alerts suddenly stopped working on my Pixi...

  I just upgraded to an old BB to a Palm Pixi curve. I received my new phone, September 27, 2010... two days later, after normal use (IE send SMS, call & photos) alerts stopped working completely. I've never used helmet on this phone either. I called my service provider and they sent me a new Pixi, I got three days ago. Well this afternoon, while sitting in my pocket, exactly the same thing happened as the other Pixi. (Again, I've never used helmet) I can listen to music through external speakers, I can play ringtones if I open them and play them manually... but whenever I get a call or a text will make my phone just vibrate, also my alarm will not work (sound) and neither my calendar alerts. I have all the audio settings turned 'on '. I have even system sounds turned to 'on', but that they will not play (sound when you take a photo or take a map on the screen)... no sound on my apps game either. I really like this phone, but I am so tempted to go back to my old BB curve. If someone had this problem? Is - this fixable or should I just a get a new Pixi?

  Have you checked the switch to ring on the top of the unit next to the power button? You see red showing; If so he switch in reverse if you don't see red. The unit is vibrating mode in the position, and all sound is disabled.

  Double check the app folder or home screen.

  Cannot delete the built-in app, so go to settings - general - reset - Reset available to the home screen.

• Stop email shared calendar alerts

  I use the latest Macbook Pro and the latest software as of today on all equipment. I use the calendar to our small home business. My partner and I share our calendars between them. Ever time I either she or I a new calendar entry in our own calendar, an alert message is sent to the other person to inform them of the entry. I want to disable this option. I tried to do a right click on the actual shared calendar and disabling alerts. I entered in Mail and I tried to General preferences Invitations to add to the calendar automatically.   Go to iCloud.com, sign in to your account, select "Calendar" and click on the "Gear" icon in the lower left of the window > Preferences... > advanced > event updates > uncheck "Email me shared calendar updates," then save.

  Make sure that this selection is done on both accounts iCloud.
