Satellite 1400: Code 12 error if the PCMCIA card inserted

I inserted a D-link dwl-650 + Wireless pcmcia network card in my laptop Satellite 1400-103.

It does not work and cited the reason as being, "this device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) ».

I don't see any way to change the resources for this device, or other cards, if anyone has an idea how to get it going?

Sorry if this sounds a little vague, if you need to know something else, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

This looks like a problem with PCMCIA (pc card) drivers.
They are not assign correct system resources to the card to make it work.

Go to system and look and PCMCIA drivers Device Manager.
Try to remove them and let the system reload their next startup. Try installing the latest PCMCIA driver.

Best regards

I have try all the drivers Wireless: Wlan intel + proset intel atheros wlan + wlesscmgr

    Hello

To my knowledge, the A110-294 uses the Atheros WLan card and therefore the Atheros Wlan dirver should be the right one.

You can find the latest driver for Atheros WLan here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    Just a question;
You see the local network card in Device Manager? I mean, you should see an Ethernet controller or an unknown device in the network adapters
The driver is missing, then the device must be marked with a yellow exclamation point

  • Satellite A210 restore failed (error: run the Chkdsk utility)

I have a Toshiba Satellite A210... When I tried to reform. There, an error came (about 47% in the 'process'); blablablabla... This file is corrupt, run Chkdsk utility...
    Help please?
Then. Should I try call Toshiba or send it?

    Help me please, anyone? :))

It's not easy to say what the problem is.

On the Toshiba website, I founded a updated firmware for drives optical drives in Satellite A210.
Then, look at the Toshiba site and try this update of the firmware if you have such a unit.

The next step if you have no success with the update of the firmware, you should try a Microsoft installation disc.
In addition, it could also be a problem with the HARD drive.
You can do a test drive with Drive Fitness Test.

  • Satellite L650 PXE - E63:error initializing the NIC - error start

I have a Satellite L650, which is 2 months old.

The motherboard makes a ticking noise (I think it's what makes noise), and when this noise occurs it causes very slow computer! It has been thus since I got it pretty well.

Today, the computer makes noise, my itunes music started to jump (it was the only program running) and the computer froze and was told that he could not find windows. When I restart my computer it runs the windows startup repair 7, found nothing wrong, and restarts the computer. When the computer restarts, the screen stays black for a long time... and then it flashes a blue screen (flash is so quick that I have no idea of what he says) and asks if I want to rerun the repair. I choose not to start windows normally... and the screen goes black for a long time, however there is no ticking noise, but it seems that nothing happens.

    If I force a reboot, I get an error message saying along the lines of;

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet controller... Check the cable connection
PXE - E63:error initializing the NIC
PXE - MOF: exit intel PXE ROM
No device bootable-insert boot disk and press eny key

    Help, please!

    > Today, the computer makes noise, my itunes music started to jump (it was the only program running) and the computer froze and was told that he could not find windows.

Sounds like the HARD drive failure.
That would explain the PXE Boot error as well.
This error occurs if the laptop tries to boot from LAN because other sources bootable couldn t be found.

In my opinion, you need to replace the HARD drive.
If the warranty is valid, get in touch with a local ASP from Toshiba and ask the new HARD drive

  • USB CODE 10 ERROR, complete the automatic entry in case of problem, problem keep after reboot...

USB CODE 10 ERROR, troubleshoot automated, everything is OK, resart problem comes back after a reboot...

What is the USB (type, manufacturer, make and model)? What version of vista are you using? The problem occurs if you start in safe mode?

The following applies in some cases (I don't know if it applies to you but I don "t know the appliance, has no validation of the ccmplete and the message in its entirety (Word for Word), and I don't know if that's what you tried - but here it is anyway):http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933442/.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, then when you have identified the device and answer the other questions, I have more specific recommendations.

    Good luck!

    Hi Sinead,

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What is the brand and model of your computer?

"Code 10" error is generated in the Device Manager in one of the following situations:

-Device Manager cannot start the device.
-One of the pilots who needs the unit does not start.
-Device Manager has sufficient information to recognize the error that spread upwards by the device driver.

Note: in this case, the "Code 10" error can be a very generic message indicating some sort of unspecified driver or device problem.

I suggest you run this Microsoft fixit and check if it helps.

  • Satellite X 200: Cannot write to the memory card error message

    Hello

Can help you, I have a X 200 with XP Professional installed I continue to receive errors saying "the memory could not be wrtitten" I returned the machine to your service center, but they said that they could not work on the machine, unless Vista was reinstalled. What can I do?

It is an error often caused by an application tries to use memory assigned to another program. In some rare cases, this can be a problem material, but really really rare.

What you can try first is to install all the latest windows updates and check if you have all the newer driver versions. To do this, go to Toshiba European download page.

If it does not, well, you can reinstall Win XP.
But, when the pop-up message? A certain program? If so, try to uninstall it and see if the message has disappeared.

Have you changed anything in the configuration of the system?
Do you use the Windows system preinstalled by Toshiba?

Usually, if you insert the compatible! SD card in the SD card slot, after little time the SD card should be recognized by the system and should be visible in windows Explorer
