Remote access to Windows Mail

Is it possible to access my e-mail account to windows Vista from another computer using XP?

Yes.  Just use Outlook Express and set up your e-mail account in the same way as in Vista.  So before you download messages ensure that both computers have to leave a copy on the server under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced.  Then set one to delete messages after a few days, so that they don't accumulate.

If you can, check if you can connect via webmail to determine if your email provider working properly on their end.  If you can log in via webmail, then try to remove your e-mail account, close WinMail and compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) then add your account to e-mail back again.

If you have forgotten your username and password, call your ISP (internet service provider).
Your ISP is the one who gave you the user name and password. They have the record. Ask them.

At the same time ask if there is a technician who can help you with the problem of popup box.

  • Routing and remote access - on three subnetworked, two subnet unable to reach to the internet!

    Hello

    Good evening everyone.

I had a problem in Routing and remote access on windows 2003 server.  This server is already configured as a file server, domain server, and application server. Also configured as a router (thanks to access routing & remote) to connect the three different networks with each other. If this server has three NICs installed and each separate NIC network cards represent.

    three different networks are - 192.42.160.0/24, 192.42.161.0/24, 192.42.162.0/24

Three cards of the NETWORK adapter installed on the server as with the IP - next

    NIC - 1 = 192.42.160.220, Sub - 255.255.255.0, gateway - No.

    NIC - 2 = 192.42.161.220, Sub - 255.255.255.0, gateway - 192.161.220.112 (this ip address for internet access then 4 g router IP)

    -3 = 192.42.162.220, NETWORK cards, Sub - 255.255.255.0, gateway - No.

Now the question is I can get Internet & (also scathing in router ip 192.42.161.112) one network i.e. - 192.42.161.0/24, BUT when I try to access the internet from another two network (192.42.160.0/24 & 192.42.162.0/24) I can not access and in addition can not ping to internet router ip - 192.42.161.112...

So, how do I access the internet to another two network also?

I was already the configuration of static routing for all three network but I wasn't always successful. I don't really know what exactly static routing this should be done in access routing & remote area so that all three network can reach to the internet?

Here is the result of the current track...

    D:\Documents and Settings\Administrateur > route print

    IPv4 routing table

  • Y at - it a setting of Windows Mail to keep copy incoming e-mails on ISP server?

The use of Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium, how can I set a preference to leave a copy of each message entering on my server of the ISP? Currently, if I download email in Windows Mail, I can no longer access my ISP via iPad or iPhone. If I have not consulted the email through Windows Mail, I can easily see it from the iPad/iPhone, and then later can access via Windows Mail. But not the other way around. I looked for a setting on the web site of my ISP (cox.net) and talking to their tech support, but there seems to be nothing on their end to fix. I looked in the menus of Windows Mail and cannot find anything there either.

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server.

  • Export older emails from Windows Mail to where they were then I can open via my browser instead of Windows Mail

I had difficulties to send items to my e-mail, so I contacted my internet provider (Comcast) for how to make sure my default email address was Comcast. They do apparently have undedrstand my problem and I did not understand how email worked.

They ended up giving me directions that actually moved existing e-mail messages I accessed via my browser (IE9) to Windows Mail.  Now, all my previous messages can't be seen in my main mail to which I have access through my browser.

I don't want to have to go in Windows Mail to check my older emails.  All my new messages can be found via my browser (where I want that they) AND also in Windows Mail.  But old messages that have been moved, is visible via access to Windows Mail.  I want to be able to see/open these older posts as before they were moved TO my e-mail from the browser.  I don't want to have to look in two places for messages.

Comcast told me that Microsoft has to help me, even if they are the ones who caused the problem.  Is this a Microsoft problem or is it Comcast?  Can someone give me direction please?

The default behavior for Windows Mail is to download messages and then ask the server to remove from the server.  This is what happened.  There is no way to get back them on the server.  You will need to send to yourself and then they would be back on the server, but as forwarded messages and not the originals.  To prevent WinMail removing when it downloads, you can go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the option to leave them on the server.

  • I have my Windows Mail and Gmail put in place. How to stop emails to be stored in two email accounts?

    Windows mail problem

I use gmail and dependent on her, but I also wanted to have access to Windows Mail.  A friend helped me and now I receive all messages from gmail imported to my computer.  How can I change that so I don't have all these messages in gmail (the cloud) and my computer (too much place.)

First messages that don't take up much space, but all you have to do is delete the ones on your machine and they will be here.

You can stop receiving messages from gmail by removing the account mail under Tools | Accounts | Mail in Windows Mail.

    Hi wfd411,

If your user account is accessible by other users, they can access the Windows Mail account as well.

I suggest to put an administrative password on your user account and create a standard account for other users.

  • Remote access ASA5510

    Hello guys,.

I have to configure an ASA 5510 as server of remote access for Windows XP machines. I tried to configure L2TP and IPSec, but not worked. I was referred to a correct document by a member of this forum (appreciated), but it seems that XP machines do not like L2TP and they more readily accept PPTP. Someone can reffer me a document how to configure ASA5510 with PPTP remote access. I checked the unit and see no option to use PPTP instead of L2TP. Guys thank you very much in advance.

    Kind regards

  • Remote Access Time capsule with windows 10 pc

I have my time Capsule connected to the router of the provider internet I easily access from inside my home network and with a Mac, I'm not able to access remotely with my Windows 10 PC and my iPad Time Capsule (I only am not able to Set up hold File Manager app). My internet provider to put in place a connection port on the router and I tried several TCP 20/21/80/8080/548 ports without success.

Any suggestion wich port to set?

    Thank you

You will need a computer that uses AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) to access from a remote location Time Capsule.  Windows 10 does not have this feature, so you will not be able to use the time Capsule to access from a remote location using a PC.

Although it is not officially supported by Apple, you can usually access the time from an iPad Capsule using the navigation application.  The navigation instructions are there, and they do not work for me when I try this:
