Try to prevent others from watching an e-mail in Windows Mail

Hi wfd411,

If your user account is accessible by other users, they can access the Windows Mail account as well.

I suggest to put an administrative password on your user account and create a standard account for other users.

    Not good enough, unfortunately.

You have to remove iTunes and its software partner in a specific way and the sequence otherwise you get remainders of pieces on your PC/laptop.

Go here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ and select iTunes, then installing and uninstalling etc.

  • Prevent others from changing the formula

I created a Budget sheet to spread and have different contributors who will be able to add information, BUT I don't want their change of layout page or formulas etc.

    How can this be achieved?

    Hi David,

I would put in place a specific map and a table of the data entry of your employees. The budget table/sheet would take data from there, and you could block this table to discourage changes.

In iOS, I would create a form. It would allow the data entry and access to the formula results but of formats and formulas cold not be displayed in the form.

  • Windows Mail... I want to use my password again to get my email. I did initially and then he asked if I wanted she remember me, I thought that it meant just my email address... But now I don't have to sign to read

I went from mail to windows mail cox... I still had to sign on windows messaging like any other mail each time to read my mail... Then I got an aking window, if I wanted to remember me... I thought that meant my e-mail address... So I said yes... And now all I have to do is click on windows mail and it rises.  I don't like it... I want to have to connect to read... Help, please.

You do not sign in Windows Mail, because it doesn't have a password option.
You do not have to provide your password to the e-mail account on the server in order to
    access it.
If you want to set up Windows Mail for do not remember the password, go to
Tools - accounts - (your account) - properties - servers
    Uncheck the Remember password box]
    Ok

This threshold will not prevent others from reading your email already downloaded on
your computer, but if you put a password on your Vista logon account, and
Don't let not another use it.

  • Windows Mail - I'm afraid that the old emails in the files could be preventing me from receiving new emails

Original title: Windows Mail - collection of e-mail addresses over eight years for professional use - last year I knew trouple receive emails - are these two related?

I started my email account in 2002 for businesses.  As buyers across the USA would contact me, I would be filing their e-mail address in a file designated for this part of the country.  I'm afraid that the old emails in the files maybe stopped me to receive new e-mail messages.

    I have ten files of buyer for emails that are critical that I keep the emails.  1 has 377 emails.  2 a 206.  3 a 137.  a 4, 138.  5 a 79.  6 a 53.  7 a 63.  8 a 52.  9 to 19.  10 to 18.

I have too many files for customer communications.  What is too much?  Can I stop receiving emails?  My said any hosting company is fine.  This problem appeared several times during the year in th epast.  I keep my system as clear as possible, but I'm running out of answers.  Help, please.  Thank you.

N ° it is a very small number of messages and I tested WinMail in its beta with more 132 000 messages. The number of messages and folders is not a problem.  What could help occasionally is compact and repair the database, you can do it with my Windows Mail utility (www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/).  The most common problems with receiving mail failures are due to 3 third-party programs, such as antivirus software (seewww.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3), or having problems at the end of the ISP, which they admit not always.

  • Mailings moved to end of folder Windows Mail personal up to corrupt the other items in this folder.

I get a number of emails from members of the family all over the world.

When I save items to a specific e-mail folder in Windows Mail, the email registered is replaced by the text of another email in this folder!
I have tried to create a new folder and save the items but it still happens. Remittances that corrupt are text only and appear to be from a single source. This does not occur in other folders

    What could cause this do?

A contributor send long e-mails without feedback of any trolley (habit). An email from long chain could damage the others?

    Thank you

    Hello

Here are some steps you can try to resolve your problem.

Rebuild the Windows Mail message store

This method will help you rebuild the message store. By rebuilding the message store, only the messages that have no errors cannot be loaded and delete messages that contain errors.

To remove the Windows Mail message store file and then rebuild, follow these steps.

Step 1: Search for the message store

Find the folder that contains your personal message store. The message store is usually located in:

    hard disk\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

If it is not located there, you can find its location through Windows Mail. Follow these steps.

    1. in Windows Mail, click Tools, then Options.

    2. in the Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab, and then click the Maintenance button.

    3. in the Maintenance dialog box, click the store folder button.

    4. in the location dialog box to store, right click on your personal message store is located in the following folder, and then click Select all.

    5. right click on your personal message store is located in the following folder, and then click on copy.

    6. click on cancel or close to close all dialog boxes.

    7. Click Start, right click on the search box and then click on paste to paste the your personal message store location in the box to start the search.

    8. press ENTER. The folder that contains your personal message store opens.

Also online a scanner using the utility of a direct care.

    Original title: Windows Mail

I use Windows Mail (Vista OS) on my home PC. Can I access my account from another PC?  If so, how do

You will need to create an account on the other PC the same as the one you have now.

    On both machines:

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server.

On a single computer only, make sure to delete messages after X days to satisfy your allocated space that you get from your server.

If it doesn't is that for a brief period of trip example, you might be better parcel just connect to the Webmail of your server site.

  • cannot print the document from Windows Mail, get a script error

When I try to print an electronic document of Windows Mail, I get the following error message:

-An error has occurred in the script on this page

    -Line: 2115

    -Char: 1

-Error: unexpected call to method or property access

    -Code: 0

    -url://ieframe.dll/preview.js

    Hello

    1. are you able to print other documents?

2 have had any changes made to your computer before this problem?

Try the reinstatement of OLE controls to correct the above error.

Method 1: register the OLE control
    To do:
    1. click Start and type regsvr32 ole32.dll in the search field.
    2. press enter.

Check if this helps you to print from Windows Live Mail. This usually solves the problem. If you are still having the same problem, follow the remaining steps.

Method 2: disable the script debugger

    1. in the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    2. on the Advanced tab , click on to clear display of each box script error notification, and then click OK.

Method 3: Verify that Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java are not blocked by Internet Explorer

Active scripting, ActiveX, and Java are all involved in shaping the way information displays on a Web page. If they are blocked on your computer, it can disrupt the display of the Web page. Reset the Internet Explorer security settings to ensure that they are not blocked. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. start Internet Explorer.
    2. on the Tools menu, click on Internet Options.
    3. in the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
    4. click on default.
    5. click on OK.

Note: ActiveX controls and Java programs are disabled in the high security level in Internet Explorer.

Try to open a Web page where you previously received a script error. If you do not receive the error, the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, go to method 4.

Method 4: remove all temporary files related to Internet

    1. start Internet Explorer.
    2. in the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    3. click on the general tab.
    4. under browsing history, click deleteand when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    5. in the dialog box delete browsing history , under Temporary Internet files, click delete filesand when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    6. under Cookies, click delete Cookies, and when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    7. under history, click delete history, and when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    8. click on closeand then click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

If all goes well, you should be able to print now.

  • Export older emails from Windows Mail to where they were then I can open via my browser instead of Windows Mail

I had difficulties to send items to my e-mail, so I contacted my internet provider (Comcast) for how to make sure my default email address was Comcast. They do apparently have undedrstand my problem and I did not understand how email worked.

They ended up giving me directions that actually moved existing e-mail messages I accessed via my browser (IE9) to Windows Mail.  Now, all my previous messages can't be seen in my main mail to which I have access through my browser.

I don't want to have to go in Windows Mail to check my older emails.  All my new messages can be found via my browser (where I want that they) AND also in Windows Mail.  But old messages that have been moved, is visible via access to Windows Mail.  I want to be able to see/open these older posts as before they were moved TO my e-mail from the browser.  I don't want to have to look in two places for messages.

Comcast told me that Microsoft has to help me, even if they are the ones who caused the problem.  Is this a Microsoft problem or is it Comcast?  Can someone give me direction please?

The default behavior for Windows Mail is to download messages and then ask the server to remove from the server.  This is what happened.  There is no way to get back them on the server.  You will need to send to yourself and then they would be back on the server, but as forwarded messages and not the originals.  To prevent WinMail removing when it downloads, you can go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the option to leave them on the server.

  • I take a match to open an e-mail from some of my sent items, Windows Mail stops.

I take a match to open an e-mail from some of my sent items, Windows Mail stops.  All other open normally. The same thing happens when I try to open the folder that contains e-mail messages and from this contact.

    original title: Windows Mail problem

Do you have any background scanning enabled?  This could be what hangs WinMail.  I don't see what else would break WM when you select only the message in the preview pane, as the body of the message is not yet loaded then.  You could try to disable antivirus and highlight the message with invalid preview pane later, just to see if it stops.

I would offer to watch this message if you could it send me in attachment, but apparently you wouldn't be able to do it without crashing.

How to import emails from Windows mail to Outlook.  I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and want to use Outlook 2002 for email from Windows mail program is no longer usable.

    The following versions of Microsoft Outlook are fully supported on Windows 7;

    • Outlook 2003
    • Outlook 2007
    • Outlook 2010 (when it came out)

It is recommended to always update your version of Outlook directly after installation to take care of any question of incompatibility which have been corrected.

    Previous versions
    Another version of Outlook is not supported on Windows 7. Although you may install it, any compatibility issues is not corrected. For example;

    • Outlook 2002/XP works on Windows 7, but it has the same problems remember password when using Windows Vista.
    • Outlook 2000 cannot be installed in Internet Mail Only Mode (IMO) and must be installed in company/workgroup (CW Mode) Mode to prevent a mistake wab.dll.

What happens when you try to send email?

Search for antivirus and other program interventions in WinMail.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Also try to compact and repair the database and see if that fixes things (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

For the print issue, you can print from IE?  WinMail uses the IE print engine, in order to check that.
