If work [DRC] Remote Desktop host is behind a firewall or router, you need to do TCP Port 3389 transmitted/open on the firewall/router. You would call then of the House, or any other remote location, using address public IP of the router/firewall or a full domain name [FQDN] as pointed out by elimaane. If you are not the administrator of network/work desk contact them to help them access through the firewall/router.

  • Remote site 2 Internet connections...

I have a remote office that currently connects to a data center Central via the VPN Site to Site.  I get a 2nd internet connection like a fall back to the remote desktop.  How to configure the Site to Site VPN working properly so that if the main internet connection goes down, the site switches to the secondary?

On internet connections remotely come from different providers so that they have completely different blocks of public IP addresses.

    Central

    ASA 5520 8.0 (4)

    GIG 0/0 public IP

    Remote

    ASA 5520 8.4 (1)

    GIG 0/0 public IP

Public IP address of concert 0/3 (2nd internet)

On the end of HQ you must enter the new IP address of the ISP (for the remote site) as secondary peer.

On the remote end, you must add SLA so that traffic will be redirected on the second link incase of primary failure.

  • Is it possible to use Adobe Reader software to simultaneously on several computers at home?

The 'Adobe product license agreement' to 'Adobe Reader' (at http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/reader/x/eula_en_gb.html) says:

    3. license.

    ...

3.1 General use. You may install and use one copy of the software on your Compatible computer.
    ...

I imagine that this restriction is intended to pay Adobe software such as Adobe Acrobat itself (rather than the Adobe Reader free program").

However, I thought I should check it.

Is it OK for my family and I use the Adobe Reader software simultaneously on several computers at home?

    Thank you.

    -RJ

In fact with the paid software from Adobe you can use up to two computers - the clause you mentioned can also be read as "one copy per computer", so don't worry - your intended purpose should be good.

  • Home network works great, remote desktop will not connect.

I have a Windows 7 laptop and a Vista laptop. They are connected to a secure wireless network. Both work very well as standalones. When I try to connect via Remote Desktop or connect with each other. My 7 is in a homegroup with a single name. My Vista is in a WORKING group with the same name. I can't connect either using remote desktop. Computer for both names are names of a single word, 'XXXXXX', not the format xxx.xxxxx.xxxx and I can't figure another way to their name. I spent 2 days serching various tech forums and tried what they suggested.

    Hello

Homegroup is a unique feature of Win 7. It uses IPv6.

As you connect to Vista you must configure Windows 7 to the home network.

    ------------------------------------

Network Win 7 with another version of Windows as a work network (works very well if all computers are Win 7 also).

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_name.jpg

    ------------------
Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please Note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled).
If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic.

If you end up with the 3rd party software uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is active .

In all cases, you need to work with your network administrators. If it is a legitimate work related requirement, they will help you access remote set-up. Its also possible they may require that you access the network through a VPN for security reasons. This ad-hoc could violate policy work regarding the connection an untrusted network or PC, IE. your home, to a reliable network system, IE. your system of work.

  • Error 0 x 80070035 only on one of the 20 remote computers... strange!

I have been using a Windows 7 server on my network to Quickbook for 2 years without a hitch.  Since the end of the week that I started having error code 0 x 80070035 "network path was not found" for the server only.  I can see the server on my mapped network, I see my computer from the server, I can open each remote computer on the network with the exception of the server.  My admin team, again, can access the Quickbooks server.  I open the server from other computers on the network... but not mine.

I tried restoring the system, no luck.  I disabled TCP/IPv6 without success. I checked several maps of 6to4, no.  Again, my network works perfectly on all remote units, of all workstations except for me now the connection to the Quickbooks server.

I don't know that it is a strange phenomenon with a simple solution... I just can't figure it out with all the posts I've read... suggestions?

  • Remote Desktop is not connecting

I am trying to connect to a computer on my home network running W7 Professional using DRC. It is the only station that does not accept the connection. All are part of a domain. Is there a domain server. Symantic End Point Protection a firewall (firewall W7 is therefore off). My connection to the DRC is triggered by a W7 Ultimate station within the domain and specifies a port [STATION02:3390]. The router sends port 3390 to this post, and I get a good test of the router for this port. DRC is switched on to STATION02. I tried with and without network authentication. I tried to disable Ms. My domain name is called at the HOUSE and I entered my user name as an authorized user of the DRC on the host: HOME\richard and HOME\Domain users. All other computers on the network can RDC to each other, except STATION02 does not login as a host. I am stumpted and would appreciate help. Is there an area of setting I'm missing? Thank you.

  • Homepage not accessible from remote computers

    Hello
I just installed version 10g 2 x, but I am not able to access XE home page of other computers on my network even though I configured XE that this is possible.

    I'm under Oracle_Server_Linux 5,6.
I accepted all the default values during the installation of XE.
Using Firefox, I've traveled to http://127.0.0.1:8080 / apex

Then I sailed in the homepage of/home/administration/Manage_HTTP_Access
    and selected "access: Available_from_local_server_and_remote_clients.
and then you click on Apply_Changes, which seemed to complete successfully.

The help of the host on which the XE is installed, I am able to use Firefox to access http://192.168.0.102:8080 / apex from which I expected to find, and that works fine. But when I try this from a remote computer, the connection fails.

I'm sure the network itself works because ping and ssh work between computers.

Someone has ideas on how diagnose and fix this probem?

    Thanks, Tcharles.

When he works to the host, but not remotely, a likely culprit is your firewall.

The port of the Apex and the database listening port, if you also want the remote database connections, must be added to your firewall exceptions list.

A quick check to see if the port is blocked, try a telnet to the host and port.

    $ telnet 192.168.0.2 8080
    ...
    $ telnet 192.168.0.2 1521
    ...

And to be sure that the correct port is in use, check with a "lsnrctl status", you should see an entry for endpoint listens for http and ip address and port number as well.
