Remote Desktop displays 'Welcome' briefly then turns white

I connect regularly on a company server.  Today, when I tried to do, he connected, showed the blue screen with the word welcome in the centre for a second and then white RDS window.  I tried several times and the same thing happens.  Can someone help me please?

    Hello

After research with M30-241 and finding nothing, I'm trying this way. My laptop is 2.5 years has been repaired once because of the white screen and now it is doing it again. When a game like snooker 2003 blocks the screen you can hear the sound goes and then the screen starts to become clear until it is completely white.

I have to press the power bit and shut down the system, but it only happens in game. Word, excel, PowerPoint, films without problem.

    Hi Anton,.

This situation is usually caused by the chip chart/CPU, not too hot. I suggest that you try to clean the grille of your laptop and also ensure that there are no obstacles to the free movement of air through the radiator cooling.

  • Unable to the virtual machine to a remote desktop another PC host then.

I recently installed VMWare workstation and created a virtual machine that I can't access via RDP from any machine other then the host.

I am able to access internet from the virtual computer hosted together with the machine to do hosting.

    IP OF THE VIRTUAL MACHINE

    192.168.245.128 ip

    Vmnet8 host machine

    192.168.245.1

    vnet1

    192.168.126.1

    eth0

    192.168.2.3

I understand that the vm and the host can communicate because they are both on the reseau.245.x, but how do I get the VM to get an IP address from my dhcp server so that I can rdp to VM?

I would be grateful for any assistance with this issue.

    Lost in the sauce.

    B

At this point how to configure a network adapter on the virtual computer to get an IP address for an existing dhcp server?

To gain a better understanding of the VMware Virtual Infrastructure of network I strongly suggest you read 14 chapters (setting up a virtual network) & 15 (advanced virtual networking) in the Manual of the workstation user , still less the rest of the documentation. (Also available in the help file of VMware Workstation).

Then change the virtual computer's network adapter to use connected by a bridge.

  • View the lines of the grid or square patterns using MS Remote Desktop

    Hi all

I had this problem since the Fusion 3.0.  I've upgraded to 3.01 and now 3.02 (232708) - running past patches of snow leopard on the macbook pro unibody.

I searched but perhaps I am using the wrong keywords because I can't find any text on this issue.

The current problem is when I use MS RDP connect and manage my windows 2003 and 2008 HP and Dell servers, grid or vertical and horizontal lines to corrupt and my remote desktop display.  (My Office/display continues to work ok). I've attached a screenshot of the screen, RDP, for example.  This problem manifest itself when I using either fusion windowed mode or full-screen.  I tried to connect to a windows 2000 Server and does not see it

    problem.

I turned on and off 3d acceleration for this problem.

My Fusion guest operating system is Windows XP SP2, built from scratch in Fusion 3.0.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

You should watch this patch from Microsoft:

  • P2412H - displayed briefly and then the screen turns white.

    Hello

I got a pair of monitors of P2412H little more 3 years, bought from a dealer - I don't have tags and monitors say manufactured in September 2011 (so I think that, apart from any warranty).

This morning one of them has failed - it displays briefly, then the screen turns white.

    Manual test:

1 unplugged every wire and power button which is held for 15 seconds.

    2 reconnect the power cord.

    -Switch will blue

-L' initial Dell boot screen is displayed on the screen for less than a second.

    -L the screen turns white.

    -Stays blue power button

    3. press one of the control buttons

    -Nothing happens

    4. disconnect the monitor

    5. connect the monitor to on PC with Windows connected using DVI.

    6. connect the power cord

    -Switch will blue

-L' initial Dell boot screen is displayed on the screen for less than a second.

    -L the screen turns white.

    -Stays blue power button

I also tried to reset the monitor according to the instructions of the manual by pressing keys 1 and 4, but as the monitor does not appear, I couldn't see anything.

The monitor did briefly revived properly after one of my attempts back manually, but the after turning on and the new to check if the problem itself had set the monitor returned to the not displaying no not again.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction on how to fix it?

    Thank you

    * UPDATE *.

Disassembled the monitor I've used this as a guide to youtube to open the monitor the safely:

    cs_setInnerHtml ('video_aebd897a-01ed-42eb-a8c5-b3b6ecee6556', ");

Inspect the circuits printed for all the obvious problems such as cracked soldering or fried capacitors.

Could not see the obvious problems... you realign a couple of back vertical capacitors where some of them were in sharp corners appeared to be very close together as a result.

    Back together carefully.

Backwards and now it works very well for 48 hours.

  • Remote Desktop connects then stops after a few seconds

I have two laptops to Windows 7.  We run OpenVPN which I will refer to the VPN server.  The other is the Client and with me on trips.  Open VPN is configured on the Client and the VPN server, and I can connect from inside and outside the network without any problems.  I also have an Open VPN Client with another port configured on a server QNAS.  I can connect without any problems.

I want to run the OpenVPN server on one VLAN separated to prevent users to see my internal network and only sees another NAS.  I also use the VPN to offer our few users (3) the ability to connect and use my static IP address.

I have a router TP-Link-ER-6120.  I can configure the three ports to run in 3 separate VLANS.  When I configure the VPN server works on my regular network to exploit the VLAN1 and VLAN2, I can always connect to OpenVPN and all I want to do works (NAS and Internet access with my static IP).  However, when I try to establish a Session to the VPN server computer remote desktop, I get the login and enter my user name and password.  I see the remote desktop window, open and usually see the remote desktop wallpaper and loading the desktop icons.  Then it crashes.  If he does until I can see the desktop, it automatically attempts to reconnect.  If she makes it that far, it stops with a window that says Remote Desktop connection has been disconnected.

If I come back in the configuration of the router and change the configuration of VLAN for the server VPN is on the same virtual network, I can connect and the remote desktop connection is successful, as long as the customer is located on my network.  If I connect the Client to the VPN server from outside my network in this configuration, the remote desktop will always fail in the same manner described above.  I also have a QNAS on my network with OpenVPN configured and operational.  If I connect the Client computer to the QNAS, I can connect to the VPN server until the VPN server is placed in its own VIRTUAL LAN.

Thus, work Desktop connections to local computers.

However, since a remote off-grid remote office connections begin to work, but are stopped when connecting.

-J' I ping the VPN server during connection attempts and never lose the connection.

-J' used telnet to Server VPN 3389 port and it connects.

-J' turned off the firewalls on both sides and went up to remove Symantec on the VPN and BitDefender server on the side side Client to use Windows Firewall on both.  And then disabled Windows Firewall as well and still no joy.

Is there a setting in Windows I'm missing that allow the desktop connection remote on the LAN, but not enable during login remotely even if I can ping, telnet and usually access the rest of the network?

Is it maybe a configuration problem on the side of the router?  Installation side route is a very simple graphic interface.  I configured for the VPN service roads and they remain in place (one for the QNAS) and one for the OpenVPN server.  I set up a static route (virtual server) for port 3389 go directly to the IP address of the VPN server, but that did nothing.

Miss me probably something simple, but it launched my ass for weeks now.

    Any ideas?

  • Remote Desktop for Windows 7 Professional hangs at welcome screen

Setup: 2 machines on a private network. Trying to remote desktop of Windows Vista Edition full of Windows 7 Professional.

The host machine is running Windows 7 Professional. This Windows 7 machine has 1 single user account which is an Admin that I use to log on (let's say it's 'Joe').

I turned on the remote desktop via computer > properties > remote adjustment > "allow connection of computers running any version of office (less safe) remotely. Then, to be sure my account has access, clicked "select users...". "and above the"Add..." "and 'Remove' buttons, he bed 'Joe already has access."
The client machine that I use remotely to the Windows 7 machine runs Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (let's call it "Joe-notebook").
When I run Remote Desktop Connection program, I tried using the "Joe-Win7" computer name and address local static ip that I assigned to the Windows 7 PC 192.168.1.15.  When prompted I provide the username of the account Admin ("Joe") and the password. At this point, the remote desktop connection goes full screen and I can see that it starts to log on to the Windows 7 computer. A few seconds, the blue spindle stops, and a few seconds later, I get the error message "your Remote Desktop session has ended." The connections to the remote computer was lost, possibly due to network connection problems. Try to connect to the remote computer again... etc"
    I tried:
    1. Disable all the non Microsoft Win 7 PC via msconfig services.
    2. Rename the computer Win 7 PC name.
    3. Assign a static ip address to the Win 7 to use the ip address.
    4. Made sure that RDP was on the list of exceptions to firewall on PC Win 7.
    Things to note:
    • I am able to the RDP of the Win 7 PC to PC Vista Ultimate on my home network.
    • On the network, I have a Windows XP computer that is also unable to RDP to Windows 7 PCs.
    • I recently installed Windows 7 on this PC and RDP has not worked yet, so this isn't a problem 'suddenly '.
    Thank you for your help,
    Andrew
P.S., so far, I am very impressed with Windows 7. Keep up the good work.

I found the problem with my inability to RDP to my Windows 7 computer.

On my desktop Windows 7 Pro, I use a card (Rosewill RNX-G300EX) wireless network. When I installed the drivers for this card, she also installed software GUI of own Rosewill (Ralink Wireless Utility) to connect to wireless networks. This setting overrides Windows 7 is built in the GUI to connect to wireless networks.

On a wild guess, I uninstalled the drivers and software for my wireless card and then reinstalled the drivers only and used Windows 7 built in networking and it works now.

    I hope this helps.

  • Remote Desktop win7 sharing - > XPPro only with firewall turned off?

I'm trying to set up a simple office remotely. All the computers are on a local network. I want to run the desktop sharing of my new Win7 box for my old XP Pro box. I just completely wiped and reinstalled XP Pro. Here's what happens:

With the firewall WE on the XP box, I can't use the computer name to connect. I get an error message. However, I can use the IP address to establish a remote desktop connection.

When I then disable the firewall in the XP box and close the session, I can also use the computer name to establish a connection. This connection is live, even if I then re-enable the firewall. But once I log in, I'm back using the IP address.

It seems to me that if something needs to be changed in the XP firewall, but what is?

Thanks for posting if you have an idea.

    Hi vistauser111,

We recommend that you change/reduce the security settings in Avira Security software and check the result.

Step 1: If the problem persists, we recommend that you visit the Windows updates to see if there are updates available for the remote desktop connection client and install it.
see How to keep your Windows up-to-date .

Step 2: If the problem persists, try the following steps and check the result:
    a. open the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353
    b. method 2, follow steps 1 and 2, and then restart the computer to see if the problem persists.
    c. If the problem does not persist in the boot, then follow step 3 and step 4 to find out which is the origin of the problem, and once you have found the culprit, uninstall the program and check the result.

Note: Don't forget to follow the steps in the steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state"" section.

  • Whenever I have turn off my monitor, and then turn it back on, all my desktop icons are completely reorganized.

This issue just started.  Whenever I have turn off my monitor and then turn it back on, all my desktop icons are completely reorganized.  This happens when my system goes into power saving mode, or whenever I have turn off the monitor.  Even if I turn it back on just 5 seconds later, all of my icons are not where they were previously.  Help!

    Suggestions:

    1 a simple way:
. Right click on desktop > view > uncheck Auto arrange > check snap to grid.

    2. in a more elaborate way and actually a better way. I use this method I have over 150 shortcuts etc on my desk. I can't afford to have shortcuts/icons, rearranging themselves. I won't be able to find anything, if they do.
    Here is the tutorial:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/save-and-restore-desktop-icon-layout-in-Windows-Vista/

Note: The method is not perfect, you can, after a while, have one or 2 icons on the spot. But it's easy to fix.

For this printer only when it is connected to the network. Quite happy to sit quietly when printer NOT connected to the network.

Unplug the network cable from the printer, check and clear all print queues (there may be a doc pdf sitting in a pc or server print queue)

Once the queues have been dotted, restart the printer and reconnect the network cable.

If this does not cure the problem, then the likely problem is a defective formatter Board.

    Good luck!

  • Window sizes host display does not restore after a remote desktop connection

After that my computer has been accessed via a remote desktop connection, the window size for my program do not restore their previous size.  I have monitors of landscape which are larger than most of the remote users.  When they log off my computer, my window sizes are stuck to the size of the monitor of the remote user.  Y at - it a setting or a way to get my windows to restore to their original size?

No, there is no setting for this.  It's just the way it's always been since Remote Desktop was invented (formerly in the 1990s as Microsoft Terminal Services Client or MSTSC).

At the heart of the problem is that the programs that run on the desktop have no way of knowing that the display size has changed, and even if they did, they also can't know what was their previous size.  It is not just stored.

  • Windows 7 remote assistance displays garbled desktop

I'm trying to connect to the asus laptop of my mother to help her, but each time, remote assistance is used, the his office appears in monochrome color and is coded/biased. This is not a problem of the internet, because the connection is through our internet and home network is not used to establish the connection. Between the two laptops Remote Desktop works fine, not display problems what so ever. so I don't think that it is a configuration issue with the router or other system. Unfortunately we have only two systems win7 (my laptop and my mums), so test it with a third windows 7 PC is not possible. I'll try to connect using my XP Pro desktop computer, but I expect that it does not at all due to differences in OS version.  my moms laptop has some kind of custom AMD/ATI discrete video card that is not able to use AMD drivers, so im not able to upgrade to the latest version of the drivers on his cell phone. My laptop has, however, the last driver from NVidia (314.22) package because it is the video card.

Yet once again, this problem is NOT with Remote Desktop, which works very well between our two PC.

This is NOT a connection problem. I am able to connect to his PC, very well.

The question is when his office is shown through the Windows remote assistance program.

I have already run all the troubleshooters there, who have found NOTHING of EVIL.

the remote assistance connection is made using easy connect through our home network.

any suggestions on the internet do not work as the connection to the local network traffic never leaves

Remote assistance does not display a desktop computer that has a resolution of 1366 x 768 correctly in Windows 7

I tried this fix and it works very well for my Windows 7 Home Edition basic with a resolution of 1366 x 768 as the server end (from where the remote assistance request is created). Now the display of remote assistance is more blurred.
