Remote front panel in Tablet

Hi all

I am trying to establish a remote connection of frontage on a windows 8 OS 32 bit on 64 bit Tablet atom processor since an exe file deployed to myRIO. I had checked the remote façade on the development of PC connectivity (windows 8 OS 64-bit processor i7), installed the LV RT 2013 engine and the 32-bit drivers on the tablet. The problem is the remote connection of façade hangs after some time. I connect the target to a type B USB which is connected to an OTG cable and then to tablet microUSB port.

1. I reduced the data rate to about 200 samples per second (20 display values on a chart by 0.1 seconds), the problem still persists

2. the remote panel works pretty well when it is connected to the development PC and another PC (windows 8, OS 64-bit with LV RT 2013 installed) via USB, it's just the tablet that loses connection after some time (it says connection refused by the server control panel)

3. I have connected the target to an active local network the WiFi on the shelf and got the remote control works perfectly. It is just the physical USB connection to the tablet with an OTG cable that creates the problem after a while

I came to the conclusion that the problem could be with the 32-bit drivers (the screen gets stuck after some time however), OTG cable (I tried another one) or that the Tablet is running on 32 bit OS. I even installed LV 2013 on the Tablet, developed a test exe and tried remote front panel, still the same problem persists. All entries for what could be the problem?

Thank you

    Hello

Can anyone help. I am currently doing a project for College. Basically, my plan is to use labview to control a temp of DP watlow controller to turn on a heater off the coast. I want only basic as set functions of preforms and read the temperature and possibly graph temperature. I will also put in place a regular thermostat and relay to switch on and switch off the device and use it again the PDD to monitor and graph of this temperature. My project is basically to graphically display the benefits of PID regulation.

Now, here's my problem. I'm pretty much a perfect beginner when it comes of labview and programming. I downloaded Labview instrument for the DP controller drivers, but I have no idea how to use. I got the connection from my laptop to the watlow via internet but I have no idea on how to get on the cat of my watlow labview. When I opened the drivers of instruments is just a load of Subvi and I don't know what to wire to the place where, or what to use to get a simple button on the front panel by increasing or decreasing the set temperature.

Any help would be appreciated to massivly

    Thank you

    Hi, Declan,

Yes, they are the right drivers. I assume you are using LabView 8.0 or later version. Just to help you get started, here is the link which explains the fundamental band of instrument drivers.

Internally, the VI in an instrument is organized into six categories.

    (1) ' initialize VI"establishes the communication with the instrument and is the first driver of the instrument calls VI

    (2) "set screws" are software routines that configure the instrument to perform specific operations. After calling these VI instrument is ready to take the step.

    (3) ' command screw action/Status' the instrument to perform an action or to get the current status of the instrument or pending operations

4 "data" screws from the instrument of transfer or date

    (5) "utility" VI run various auxiliary operations, such as reset and self-test

    (6) ' close' close VI ends the connection of the instrument software. It's the last pilot instrument called VI.

There is a help function (?) the top tablet of your block diagram window, if you click on that and put your cursor on the VI it tells you the function and what it takes to be connected in VI. This should be enough to get you started.

There are also a few examples to the finder OR example-> entry material / output-> instrumentation drivers-> labview plug-and-play (if you can't find them please install the instruments from hereaggilent) who should give you an idea of how works driver programming and instruments. This should be enough to get you started. I'll try to find you some examples that are related to your project.

Also if you are in the United Kingdom and needs help with learning LabView programming you can call 01635 523545, and they can organize courses for you.

  • cRIO, Webservice (REST) and front panel

    Hello

I created a few simple webservice screws for greater application that runs on a cRIO. The webservice screws can be used to send simple commands to the application and give your feedback. So far, I used a LV frontpanel for interaction with the system, but for several reasons, I am looking for another way to do it.

It worked well in the development environment. After deployment webservice screw they have communicated with the application according to the needs and I am able to control the system using simple URL typed in the browser's address bar. Later, I will add static content, but for debugging, it is fine.

The thing is that now I have compiled and deployed the application, and now when I try to open the front panel I get this error message:
"VI requested is broken and cannot be read or controlled."

Previously I did not use the Web OR Application Server, so I installed to use the web services. Are there conflicts between a Web application server and remote server Panel? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

I use LV 2012 and NI RIO 12.0

    Best regards

    Simo

    Hi Simo,

If I understand correctly, you have the following configuration:

cRIO with a Web Service of LabVIEW and several Web Service screw

Some ways to debug deployed screws of LabVIEW Web Service are:

You can have the Service of the Web of LabVIEW deployed in debug and debug remote Web Service of LabVIEW desktop.

You can use a tool like factor to make it easier to apply and test your Web Service screw (similar to go to the url in the browser).

You can create LabVIEW screws of office using the Palette of HTTP Client to test the Web Service.

You mentioned the following"I have compiled and deployed the application, and now when I try to open the front panel... "

I'm a bit confused as this front panel you open. For example, do you mean that a LabVIEW project has been opened on the desktop, the Web Service of LabVIEW in the project has been deployed to the target of RT cRIO, and now, when you open the Web Service screw on the desk to look at the front panel, you get an error message?

  • Huh? "Remote Control Panel" came with the update of the firmware, LaserJet P4014n

I have 3 Laserjet P4014n recently updated to firmware 20140127 04.210.5.  If I use EWS log in as local administrator I see there's a new entry on the tab named "Remote Control Panel. I'd love to see what he does, but I can't.

With the help of IE11, I click on 'Remote Control Panel' and receive a alert 'ActiveX settings are required to use the remote control panel. There is an 'OK' button below this alert. By clicking on the button 'OK' makes me a "sorry, unsupported browser.

I fooled with my settings ActiveX IE11 and not got anywhere. The documentation for the update of the firmware is vague.

Can someone tell me what is this new feature of 'Remote Control Panel' intrigueing?

    Answering my own question:

A couple firmware updates, this EWS feature has been removed from my P4014n printers but added to my printers LaserJet Enterprise M601n.

I dropped the past months trying to understand what he's doing since clicking on it never did much. But today, I accidently clicked on 'Remote Control Panel' and got a double chart of the front of the printer with all the buttons (OK, up/down arrows, red X, home, back and a numeric keypad). There is also an option "restart".

It's very cool like SAP M601n does not in any way to simply cancel a job stuck in the queue. I was remotely restart the printer.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Small Form: The front panel audio connector - this only made type to use for headphones and microphone

    Hello

I am trying to determine what type of audio 3.5 mm plug to put into the connector on the front panel for the use of a headset to make video communications.

could be - sleeve, ring and end cap (mono audio and microphone)

    or

could be - sleeve, ring, ring and tip (stereo sound and microphone)

Having read through the manuals and nothing is said on the type to use.

    Hello world

Just plugged the connector 4 poles on my headset combination for my mobile phone (cellular) and the box of pop - up asked me to select headset or microphone - no selection for both.

Looks like the right sleeve is for headphones only, and the left one is for headphones or micro - selectable by the user and not the two on a single sheet.

Everything explained by the practice - but not the paperwork in the manuals.

#5 for microphone or headset - menu popup is displayed after you insert a 3.5 mm plug to select that one but not both at the same time.  (So I can't use my headset to phone)

    Thank you

  • WANT 411c: MFP ENVY 411c lights on the front panel

I find anywhere a note detailing the two LEDs on the front panel of the printer.  Of course, the left is the power light and the Start button / stop.  The other, 1/2 "to the right, has an icon as the icon of WiFi or wireless, or whatever it may be as an antenna with a radiating signal left and right of it.  What is this for?  It seems that there is a hole below and to the right of the symbol, but nothing ever shows up.  I turned off the wireless and turn it back on and or State shows a light here.  I reinstalled the software checks to see if that mattered and it made no difference.  I also unplugged the router and the printer, and that has not changed anything. It is connected to my wireless network and works very well.  What this has to do with some additional services such as ePrint?  I just lost some of them September 1, 2016.  Perhaps the only light when something just one of them?

    Hello

That your work as expected wireless connection, there no problem with the wireless printer, just with his lamp wireless card.

The lamp to indicate the wireless connection is turned on and must turn on once connected wireless.

They have nothing to do with ePrint or any Web service, it must turn on once connected to a local wireless network.

As you mentioned that you are connected and the printer maintain a wireless connection, it's probably just a blown bulb.

  • Satellite L500D - what is that annoying red light on front panel?

    Hello

I have my L500D the normal five system LEDs on the front panel of the base computer, where they are supposed to be. But then, to the left of these fires, there is that annoying red light, which is very distracting.

But what is even more annoying than not one, + not a + manual owners I've read mentions none, + not even a hint. The manual mentions the other lights in their patterns, + but not this one. :-(

Now, I'm assuming it's something really simple, and I publicly show how blind or stupid (or both) I really am. :-) But for love all holy, and before that I lose all of my hair, can someone tell me what is all simply as the red light?  :|

And, while you're at it, maybe you can tell me how to turn it off! It would be a very unique experience for the moment. (B-)

Don't get me wrong, I love my new L500D, my best investment by far and it goes like the wings and I write about a wacky ad jingle and broadcast around the world... If not for the boring red light. ;-)

    Help, please! (i)

    Hello

I think you are talking about a wireless light located on the front left side of the computer. You can see here:

    http://laptops.Toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/L500

Yes, it's a little boring, but you can turn it off by pressing Fn + F8 but in this case the wireless connection turns off. As for me, I use any wi - LAN, my knees is connected to the Internet by cable, and I never use outdoors.

    welcome them

  • e9180f: removal of the front panel? e9180f

Hello, I need to clean my power swith (on the upper edge of the front panel) due to a spill of food products.  I have a side removed by removing a screw in the back and then dragging to the rear of the side panel. I don't remember if I already had the cabinet apart one more than this. The front panel can break, but I fear I will "break the BAD thing. I'm sure that WD - 40 or other cleaner used by switch electronic only should be OK. Thank you all for help.

  • Satellite A200-1N1: "Satellite" LED on the front panel does not light up

    Hi people!

I noticed that my LED with the word "Satellite" on the front panel lights.

You have all the hypotheses on the causes?

    Hi Maresha,

The front 'logo' LED is enabled or disabled using a BIOS "Display front Logo" option that can be set on IT or OFF you need. Access your BIOS settings (F2 at startup) and check that this setting is set to 'ON '.

  • The front panel ThinkCentre M81 connector pinout

I have a ThinkCentre M81. I am currently trying to put the guts of it in another case, so that I can add some more to it. I checked all the guides I can find on Lenovo's Support site and they show only the location of the connector and how repalce the façade.

I try to connect the connections for the front panel ATX standard for my motherboard M81, which I'm having trouble with, reason for the connector of the Panel before Lenovo comes to be a big connector.

I wonder if this information is a resource that I missed somewhere, or if I have to trace the wires.

It is not your model, but maybe they are similar:

  • OR scope Soft Front Panel fails to load

    Hello

I use the scope Soft Front Panel OR with my USB NI 5132 for some time successfully. However, recently it has stopped working completely - seems to load a bit then fails before you even open the screen. The same thing happens in MAX I did all the updates critical, uninstalled then reinstalled NI Scope, uninstalled Labview (the only thing I had changed after the last time, I know that it worked successfully) and checked the nitaglv.dll library was in the right place according to this post: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/63739991438EC593862579C6007301EC

So far nothing's worked. I NI SCOPE 4.0 and NI-VISA 5.3.0 installed, and the computer could see successfully the digitizer USB 5132 Max after the relocation OR scope, well that the flexible façade does not always load and making the Panel test Max also does not.

I have attached a picture of the screen to load before it disappears so that could provide clues.

    Suggestions?

  • OR DC Soft Front Panel, minorbug, small bug with the PXI-4110

    Hello

The NI DC Soft Front Panel V14.0, with the PXI-4110, scrolling to negative tension, works as expected to-10V, but then returns to 0. If we change from - 1V procedure, it goes...-8-9,-10, -1, -2... instead of-8-9,-10, -11, -12...

Everything about her, a simple thing that I miss is a switch for all three voltages.

(Also, IMO, it would be logical for negative tensions with the arrow pointing down, not more).

    Hello Janaf,

I completely agree with two of your statements, I tabled a report of corrective measures that you can monitor in the next versions of DCPower to see if this is fixed with the FPS. CAR number: 512257

I've added notes that only manual insertion of numbers - less than 10 works and that it was not logical to use arrow increment or upward arrow to reduce the output voltage.

  • OR SWITCH Soft Front Panel

    Hello

I have a few questions in the following way:

    1. After installing the Switch Executive 3.6 (evaluation software), I have very large window for OR Soft Front Panel SWITCH to cover all 4 monitors. It is difficult to see. Do I have to uninstall 3.6 Executive switch (software evaluation)? We don't need that much. Is it safe to uninstall?

Could you give me the solutuion to configure on the previous setting the Soft Front Panel, released only to a single monitor.

    2. what the Panel "pxi-2720" test should be at MAX? If I click on the test Panel, 'Switch Panel Soft' appears with the topology - '2720-independent? It looks like swich instead of test programmable resistance. Is - this Panel good criterion for pxi-2720?

    3. for NI PXI 2571, I SH200LFH-4xDB50F-C cable to connect to the terminals and tested the switches. I found the NO0 (P1 pin2) - COM0 (P1 pin1) connection is not working while others work. That is reserved by something else? I have test by exchanging terminal blocks, but the result was the same.

    I'm waiting for your answers.

  • Can I programmatically change the default property to create for all elements of the front panel?

Can I programmatically change the default property to create for all elements of the front panel?

I need to make the logout button, when click on, takes care of all the default values of my fron Panel.

There is no way to programmatically call the functionality of an editor 'Use default' or 'Load Default'. To do it yourself, you will need to write your default values for each control explicitly in the diagram, when the user press the logout button.
