Removal of anchor point, removes the complete path

Need a solution... when I create a path with the pen tool I'm unable to delete anchor points without deleting the full path. The tool using pen + option shows the white arrow (direct selection tool) - I click on and drag than a box around the desired anchor point - selected point is so black - all other points along the track are not filled with black - so they are not selected - I hit the delete button - instead of the single point selected being deleted the path is removed. In the past, I have to exit and restart PS to erase the problem - this patch no longer works.

All of the suggestions. Thank you.

It is something that happens when you have no selected layers or over a selected layer. Make sure you have exactly a layer selected while trying to remove a single path point.

    Try it with a selected layer, otherwise it will remove the entire path

  • Unable to set the anchor points of the path when the keyframes turned on...

    I have a layer of irregular shape who I am deformation over time (from smallest to largest). I am able to set the anchor points of the path to the forms I want, but once I put two keyframes for the path I'm interpolating a slide, I'm more able to set the anchor points for minor changes, for example, I am unable to draw the Bézier handles. If I disable keyframes, then I am allowed to adjust the anchor again, but that means I have to start whenever I need to make an adjustment. I have run successfully the concept but need to change several layers of form in this way, and not having is not access to the Bézier handles point of anchorage slows productivity.

    Any ideas?

    Sorry, I missed the rather obscure reference to an expression in the first post you. Had, I had to pay more attention I'd say disable the expression to change the path, and then select. Not being able to select a top with the marks of perfectly logical on expression because it is turned on with the full path is selected by the expression of all time. This is how work expressions. This seems to be a lot of trouble to go just to change the "timing" of a couple of keyframes.

  • You can connect two anchor points on a closed path?

    I'm trying to draw a line on one side of one form to another, but I want attached it to each path with anchor points and circulate not only in the illustration. Is this possible?  Is it possible for, say, add anchor points to paths that intersect and then remove the excess?

    Usually, when you add a anchor with the pen tool the next anchor point connects to a line (path) between the two. When I put the tool feather on one traced existing, it adds an anchor point to the path, but I don't know how to connect a line from there to another anchor point?square.jpg

    Like that, but actually connected to path with anchor points.

    Thank you

    Henri

    You can do however by drawing lines and with some effort, making it a compound path.

    BTW, the answer is no, you cannot do it, there is no way to do it in Illustrator.

  • Illustrator cc 2014 adds anchor points to the guides

    What is happening with the Illustrator CC 2014! I placed a guide for where to add a cliked of anchor point on the Add anchor point tool, but when I select the object I want to add the anchor point that adds an anchor point to the guide! so I blocked the thinking guide that would solve the problem, that it is then for me a poster that says attention please use on a segment of the path it still considers that the guide is a path!

    TIF,

    Are you sure that you select the path, not the guid?

    Maybe it's time to look at the list.

    The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

  • How set the anchor point of the composition (no layer)

    Hi people,

    I have a composition very long and skinny.  In a far corner of the comp, I'm turning a layer on the x axis, but I want to turn backward in relationship to itself, and NOT with regard to the focus of the long and lean model.  I changed the anchor point of the layer itself to be the center of the layer, but it always tilted toward the center of the model:

    Screen Shot 2016-09-04 at 2.14.33 PM.png

    How can I change the anchor point of the comp itself?  I tried to change the position of 'anchor' in the grid 3 x 3 in the composition settings panel, but that seemed to have no effect.  Thank you!

    It makes sense, but it surprises me. If the point of leakage of a 3D object will always be in the center of the composition?

    No.... Just like in real life, point of view is controlled by the position of the camera, the angle of view is controlled by the focal length, and the center of the view is always on an infinite perpendicular line between the center of the plan of the film (point of interest). The human eye is not tilt shift, like the cameras was discovered and no not the camera AE (or no matter what camera I've ever seen in a 3D application, so you can not control the perspective by winning the film plane or by moving the center of the lens as you can do with a camera or a tilt shift lens.

    The vanishing point is where the parallel lines converge and depends on the angle of parallel lines to the camera.

    I hope that makes sense.

    Here's the thing about nesting more small compositions in a larger. If you put 3D layers in your nested compositions and condense the transformations, then the camera in the main computer will interact with the 3D layers in nested compositions. If you do not condense the transformations there will be no change in perspective as the camera moves into the main computer. If you do not condense the transformations and you make the 3D before comps will organize just flat cards in the main 3D model space.

    One last thing. Only the Active camera view has perspective. All custom views are orthogonal - no perspective. This

    It will take a minute, but you should be able to wrap your head around that. Here is a demonstration of model how global collapse of transformations. Feel free to play with it. Collapse Transformations.aep (Note: your browser may add an extension .txt to the app file - just delete it)

  • Moving anchor points and the whole shape gets distorted to change the line weight

    I have a fairly simple drawing that I drew in a larger size, so I could be more specific with it, and now I want to reduce up to the finished size and thicken the line, but when I make the line thicker, my anchor points are moving and the whole drawing is distorted.

    Using Adobe Illustrator of 24 years, I never saw that happen. When I click on the "up" arrow in the stroke palette a lot of time to gradually increase the thickness of line, I can watch made anchor 'walk' around like my shape gets distorted.

    If I go to the place a numeric value for the thickness of line, it doesn't.

    However, if I use the scale tool to shrink the design down to the size of 10% or 20%, or whatever, with traits of the scale and effects UNCHECKED, yet once, move the anchor points and the drawing is distorted.

    It's all about a brand new installation of Illustrator CS 6 for Mac (although I use CS 6 for about 2 years now, my hardrive crashed this past weekend and I had to reinstall everything).

    I missed a little box somewhere that I never saw elsewhere that is what actually happen?

    This post editing to add:

    Also, some of these objects in my drawing I cannot change the race less than 1 point thickness. If I choisis.5 ou.25 pt in the context menu, or even if I enter the numeric value, it jumps to 1 point. Other objects in the drawing are not.

    These objects in question are "rounded rectangle" forms I used the scissors tools to cut and then used the "join" command to put them as well as other forms that have been "scissored"as well."

    All forms of "Ellipse" and "Rounded Rectangle" that I have left intact do not exhibit this problem with stroke and distortion.

    You are being bitten by the Align-to - pixel grid. Select the entire document and go to the transformation Panel and turn off snap to Pixel - grid at the bottom of the Panel. Then go into the rollout (small triangle in the upper-right) and disable align objects on the pixel grid.

    Vector anchor points glitch during the transformation of objects,

  • Select the anchor point of the Group and anchor it to the PointInsertion

    Hi all

    How to select the anchor point of the Group and dock it at the point of insertion of the document in indesign cs5.5 using javascript or vb.net

    You need get a reference to your group - call the myGroup - and the other to the PointInsertion where you want it anchored - call - the myIP. Given those, you can achieve your goal (in CS5 or later) by:

    myGroup.anchoredObjectSettings.insertAnchoredObject (myIP);

    You can specify a second parameter, if you want that specifies the position of anchor:

    myGroup.anchoredObjectSettings.insertAnchoredObject (myIP, AnchorPosition.anchored);

    That should help you get started.

    There has never been a problem before, but the anchor point for the adjustment in ACR brush is sitting exactly where I need to see what is happening.  I can delete and start over, but if there is a way to move or hide the anchor in stil be able to adjust the setting, it would be useful to know for the next time it happens.

    You can press the V key to toggle the power switch pins.

  • How to remove the full paths in the form

    Hello!

    I'm new to illustrator but I saw these files on fotolia.com, I wanted to create this type of design, but I wanted to know the way how to remove paths to complete the form or just the anchor points

    1111.jpg

    In this context, a shape like spiral is created, but how the designer shaped. All circles are full. This form is not created just by creating the spiral shape and then creating clipping masks because all the circles are full. Is there any script or not in illustrator, I could do that.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Usually, I'm a big fan of doing the thing using only appearances, but in this case, I'd go with an approach of several paths:

    So have several brushes applied to some of the paths

  • BGP removing the best path

    Hello.

    I have a problem where the best path to a particular destination is removed by BGP.

    To explain.

    Site A has 2 links to site B. 1 via a peer eBGP on MPLS, 2 via an iBGP during a backup VPN peer.

    I configured the ebgp with a higher weight counterpart so that it is preferred.

    The problem is the following.

    When the ebgp peer link goes down, the connection via the ibgp peer is preferred.

    When the link via the ebgp peer returns to the top, the path of the ebgp peer doesn't come back in the BGP table (in fact it dates back to a second and is then removed).

    Could someone help me on this one.

  • Remove the completed workflow

    Hi guys,.

    Is it possible to remove the workflow completed without the help of the Orchestrator client?

    Preference a workflow that would eliminate all workflows finish at the global level would be the best fit...

    In the weboperator view you can only see/delete your own workflows finish so it's not a possible solution.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

    A workflow that removes all workflow series can be written, but it is best to configure a rule based on automatic removal of tracks on the workflow. This could be done from the vCO Configurator. For more details please take a look at the documentation: http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-50/topic/com.vmware.vsphere.vco_install_config.doc_42/GUID8C6618C0-EC5F-4E7F-9E07-45BCE33F08B6.html

    Insted of 0 in the configuration, you can change it to something that fits your use case. If you set it to 5, then the server will clean all the workflows over chips 5.
