    Hello

Sorry, but your question is a bit ridiculous to me. Until you wait for a response from Google around or ask in some store Kit tools.

My last laptop was Satellite P20. It's a bit larger similar unit but with the same screws. It is not recommended to use screwdrivers not original but I did. Please don t that, because of screw causing damage.

    Hello

I followed the instructions to blow air from the outside - as expected this didn t work

    thx for your answer

    Oliver

Service Manaual is not a public document and not the free download.
I'm sorry if this will be your last Toshiba but don't be sure that another manufacturer will give you service manual. No one will give you such document.

Laptops have a specific design and it's pretty easy to damage something. This is the reason why the dismantling procedure should be performed by authorized personnel only. When you buy TV, auto or something else, that no one will give you the service manual.

Of course, you can do with your laptop all you want but on your own risk.

Have you tried to remove the dust with compressed air.

  • Satellite P200D-139 - out the fan

    Hello

just want to clean the fan, for fear that it might be a bit too much dust in there. Stuck on how to take the portable hand washing.
Someone can tell me how to disassemble the laptop or is there a manual on the laptop?
    Thank you

If you open the Notepad or remove then you will lose the warranty!
You want to lose the warranty? I don t think so

If you want to clean the fans, you can then use a jet of compressed air.
This air spray are very useful and it s a professional also to clean the fans.

This will not void the warranty and you can clean the fans.

  • Satellite Pro M30 - how to remove dust from fan

I was told to clean the dust around the fan, it's a big job.
According to me, that there are a lot of screws on the bottom.

    Hello

You do not need to disassemble the laptop.

You can remove the dust and debris using a jet of compressed air.
These aerosols can be purchased from the local computer or online dealers.

I do from time to time to make sure that my laptop would not overheat and guess what; It is useful!

    Check it out.

  • Qosmio X 875-how do to clean the dust from the fan video card?

Laptop turned off permanently during video conversion.

Has begun to dismantle unscrewed all the screws on the rear panel. Cover with a keyboard a little inappropriate, but what keeps it loops around the screen.

Maybe you first need to remove the keyboard, but tell me please?

    + Message has been translated.

I n t have this model of laptop, but, generally speaking, the disassembly procedure is always the same. You must remove the battery, Ram optical drive, HDD, on the underside and then you must remove the keyboard to access all the screws under the keyboard.

To remove the keyboard, you must insert your finger in high cover hold left and corner of keyboard to push, so let keyboard corner appears. After doing this, you must release the locks on the keyboard cover. Locks are placed in the background, on the right side and there are a few front locks. While the keyboard is disconnect the keyboard cable.

I must also say that, in my view, is not the best idea to disassemble this fairly new machine without maintenance manuals. One small mistake and you can damage something. Maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can own professional for you.

  • Satellite Pro M10 overheating and the fan runs loud

I have a Satellite Pro M10 and when it is the fan on the power grid comes shortly after the start and makes a horrible noise - this has only started happening recently. I tried spraying compressed air (dust) to the air outlet and still have the same problem.

Other postings say to clean the fan, but I don't know how to access it. I'm worried about overheating problems I work in Africa much of the time and the laptop is subject to hot temperatures.

    Hi Hannah,

The easy way to clear the dust and debris from the cooling system is to use a vacuum cleaner hose placed on the admission air grids that are usually in the bottom of the laptop (covered by a grid). For maximum effect, I usually place a rag around the pipe to maximize the flow of air through the fans.

This causes air suction through the radiator CPU the wrong way and ensures that all debris are not pulled into the heatsink, but are removed by fans. You can see a ball of down under the grates that you need to try to clear little by little.

This technique will not void your warranty since no disassembly of the unit is necessary.

    Kind regards

  • Portege 3490CT - replacing the fan

My portege started to freeze after about 10-15 minutes of use and the internal fan doesn't suddenly and more.

I guess it's the fan which is the cause of the problem that the screen remains the same (IE probably not the graphics problem) and there is no odd blue screens or errors and CTRL ALT DEL does nothing...

I had the laptop out and checked for dust and the connection of the fan and everything seems ok.

Is it possible to get a fan on its own or is it attached for the heatpipe (it now is back together and can't even remember what it looks like!)

The 3400 series use the same fan?

Apologies for all the questions, but I really need my small laptop works again

    Thanks a lot :)

    Hello

It seems that your laptop crashes or stops because of high temperatures inside the laptop. For the most part, this problem occurs because of the dust and dirt. Fans cannot work full implementation. I don t think you need to replace the cooling module. Maybe the complete clearing of the module and the fans will solve the problems. Also check the settings in the energy saver.

I m not 100% sure about replacing fan on this unit because I don t know if it s just a fan or the entire module that must be removed. But the best way to find out is to contact Toshiba service. There you can also order parts new and compatible.

  • Serial number removed during the installation of El Capitan

It's more about post a solution rather than a question.

On my a MBPro 2010 I have that I gave to my mother that I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan.  After the installation, a dialog box kept popping up asking for a password to iCloud.  Entering it, she would get the fan of spinning of death and he locked the computer... also I was unable to download the updates.

After a quick search on the internet I found an article to check if the serial number has been removed... and after I checked, he said order number; Not available.

The same internet article provided a method for reinstalling the serial number, but they wanted me to install a third-party program to do... I was not comfortable doing that.

I went to the local Apple dealer/repair and they sent me to call Apple.  I did and had to go to second level support and they asked mt to re - install El Capitan.  Done under Apple ID my mother and mine, the MBPro still shows under my name, and nothing has changed.

Is returned to the local Apple retailer and they ran diagnostics and find nothing, but when they had to enter the serial number to run the diagnostic program is re-entered the serial number and everything seems to be fine.  Lucky for me that this has been done before they charged me $120 bench tax.

I hope this helps someone out there in the Appleverse...

Looks like you almost fell victim to a certain type of adware. Installation, upgrade or reinstall that OS will not mess with serial number.

I try to press Fn + F5 reboot screen * but again is black *.

    Any solution please?

    Thank you

You have disconnected the display while you cleaned up the laptop?
Are you sure that the display is connected correctly?
    Check the cable?

    > The laptop shows that read the hard drive and the processor works well.
How do you know that? Flashing LED HDD?
You know, it's not easy to say what may be the problem.

You can also try testing with external monitor.

  • Replace the fan, now crazy laptop :(

    Hello world

I replace the fan on a macbook pro 11 Middle, disconnect the battery in the first place, the connection of the fan and remove the 3 screws.

Now, cannot start the mac via the battery, only the main power. The battery is not available.

main drive SSD, but I think, as the use of a 30-year drive, now

now the fan is at full speed, ages to load, cursor very foggy, can't open anything.

Check the use of the processor and clocked at 93% +.

Core is up and dow, 113% to 300% +.

Check all connections, the pins of the battery. Does smc several times, nothing works.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, it seems that you may have caused damage to the battery connector, fan sensor and perhaps some damage from static electricity to the motherboard.

  • SatelliteA200 - 23 k - strange noise coming from the fan area

I have my model A200-23 laptop Toshiba PSAE6E for 1.5 years and I recently returned from service.
I sent there due to a nonfunctional key.

All right, they changed the keyboard... but since I found, I have noticed some strange noises coming from the fan area...

The sound is not so strong, but it's pretty boring.
I cleaned using compressed air, but the sound has not disappeared.
It is still under warranty, but I don't think they would do something against this noise.

The laptop works very well, it is not overheating or something, but I cannot get used to the noise.
    Should Whatd I do?

    Hello

Hard to say what noise would that be
But if the laptop was removed by a technician of the ASP in the past, then you should get in touch with the same technicians again and have to explain your situation!
A screw has perhaps forgotten who knows
I think that the technician should take a new look on this laptop

I wouldn't recommend open and disassemble the laptop yourself because you could void the warranty
