Replace the fan, now crazy laptop :(

Hello world

I replace the fan on a macbook pro 11 Middle, disconnect the battery in the first place, the connection of the fan and remove the 3 screws.

Now, cannot start the mac via the battery, only the main power. The battery is not available.

main drive SSD, but I think, as the use of a 30-year drive, now

now the fan is at full speed, ages to load, cursor very foggy, can't open anything.

Check the use of the processor and clocked at 93% +.

Core is up and dow, 113% to 300% +.

Check all connections, the pins of the battery. Does smc several times, nothing works.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, it seems that you may have caused damage to the battery connector, fan sensor and perhaps some damage from static electricity to the motherboard.

How to find the right part? I don't know the man. Either you contact the nearest Toshiba service and ask for help. They can check the Toshiba database and give you the exact reference, or you must disassemble check and portable all if fan has a sticker with part number.

Please disassemble your laptop just if you know what you're doing. Before you start to do this unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery.
According to my experience for the whole laptop fan replacement must be dismantled. Fan has small connector from the motherboard to the power supply and it must be disconnected from the motherboard.

Be careful with this. Design of portable computers is very sensible and small mistake can result with parts broken as cover or plastic small operators.

Please think twice before you start to remove the screw. :)

  • HP Pavilion g6-2240sh replacing the fan

IN BRIEF: Broken fan. A lot of noise. Hard to find part. Not made in the United Kingdom (where I live). Found supposed HP part dealer (http://uk.eetgroup.com/i/680551-001-HP-HS-FAN), do not know if its exactly the part I need. Confirm?

If the fan on my laptop has started to make a lot of noise, to the point that even the laptop significantly sometimes vibrates. I am 100%, this is a problem of fan because I get messages that fan sometimes does not start on boot-up the top if I receive a message from the bios (click on the laptop around the exhaust Wizz it and thus he begins his work, for now). Its summer so to get a little more frequent recently. I just had this problem for a few days, closing of a week at the time of this announcement.

I'm looking to get a spare part for the fan and replace it myself. I've never opened a laptop before, but I have a PC, a couple of times (sort of, dismantled my PC at home, updated several times, fixed things, replaced, etc. etc.). I found the service manual for my exact model and I am in contact with the person I got the laptop.

I googled 'g6-2240sh of HP Pavilion fan' but has a lot of sites offering "HP pavilion g6-2240sh replacement fan" with no exact fan model, which is what I expected or you are looking for. So can someone tell me what it is? I was not able to find it and I don't know where is the best place to go (to the United Kingdom, I'm at Sunderland, so better order online I presume).

    P. S.

Now, first of all, I can guarantee. 1 year international. I got in touch with HP about this, on the line to support UK. Due to my situation (student), I am quite dependent on my laptop. Unfortunately, I bought the laptop at home in Bulgaria. Then they told me that I had to their message and I more likely, logically, would have to send again, they could send somewhere else and who knows how long this may take. I know that HP has some policies on how long it may take, but my country is also, and those specific for electronics so... I found myself asked the guarantee out of the question.
(Note: I don't know about auto repair Kits customer or whatever they were called, but after contacting the Bulgarian support line, waiting more than 10 minutes and spend a fortune on the call I left it).

If at the end because of the time (and also a little financial forces is not able to communicate properly support at home (maybe I have to wait like an hour, but who live)) I resigned to fix myself.

If all of the information that I could use?
Something I am missing to tell?
Is something not clear (his end at this time of writing, so sorry for the mistakes or difficult to understand parts)?

Just mainly, I don't know which exact to get fan and hence, do not know what to look for on ebay/amazon/whatever.

(the title but here it is again)

Well, this forum provided no much help in time. Ended up getting in contact to help through the chat service and obtaining a confirmation of this way.

For all future people with a similar problem: Yes, eetgroup is a dealer and this is the correct part.

  • HP Pavilion G6 - 2148TX Power Up after replacing the fan problem

    Hello

After replacing the fan, I have a power issue with the laptop. Basically, the laptop will only fuel on the power cable disconnected to the motherboard. It is by mistake only after the fan has been replaced and everything got back together, I noticed that the battery was not charging.

I then opened the machine and reconnected the power cable to the motherboard and nothing - no power.

When connecting to the source of power with the battery in place, adjacent to the power supply lights in WHITE then remains ORANGE and will not. Seeing no other, no fan noise, nothing.

If I remove the battery, the adjacent to the power supply led in WHITE and white rest however not feed either. Same agin, no LED, no fan noise, nothing.

Now, I opened the machine upward and disconnected the power from the motherboard. Put it all back together and that the laptop starts as usual with the battery and it works very well. (Well until the battery runs in any case)

I'm looking for some advice on what the issue could be given my conclusions.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I've now solved the problem. I bought the DC power cable that connects the motherboard to the socket on the laptop. $15 on eBay.

Connecting the supply cable to the Jack of the laptop, the 'white' and is LED stayed on. The battery was not installed at the time. With a deep breath, I pressed the power button expecting anything to happen, but when he lit a big smile appeared on my face.

    The laptop booted up normally.

I then install the battery and the battery indicator showed it to load. Everything is good and a son of 18 very happy. The fault was as expected according to my previous email. I hope this helps someone in the future, shame on HP response was off the mark in light of the original explanation and clarification post. But appreciated nonetheless.

  • Replacing the fan T60P 2007

I have a T60P which operates 4 screens including one on the IBM ThinkPad itself. I am absolutely delighted, because I also carry it in my backpack.

My fan is noisy and I think I should replace security. I clean it from time to time with an air blower which it calm down a bit.

I would like to replace the fan, never done it before, or fact whatever it is inside a laptop before, but am technical and have all the tools having worked in the industry of the TMT (but not to support).

My challenge is that Lenovo doesn't seem to make sense and find another is caught in a tangle of reference numbers.

    My reference coordinates are

    T60P

    29R7077

    Type 2007-FBG

    S/N L3 -* 06/04

Do I need any other reference to locate the right replacement?

I am based in the United Kingdom.

So my question is how and where to a spare part of sources? and who are suppliers of quality?

    Thank you for your help

  • Equium M50 - how to replace the fan?

    Hi all.

I don't know much about computers, and this is my first post. My Equium M50-192 starts to turn after about 15-20 minutes. It is very hot and I can't hear the fan more. I guess that's the problem so to replace the fan. But how can I do? How do the fan?
And it is easy to do, or should I leave it to an expert?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

It is not easy to explain in a few sentences. Computer laptop disassembly procedure is quite complicated and if you don t have experiences you should not even think about it.

The second important thing is that laptop procedure disassembly should be done following the rights steps in Maintenance manuals. This document is not a public document.

So if you think about it maybe you should seek professional help.
What do you thing about that?

  • DV7-6153er replacing the fan

Hello! After 3 years of use, I found 2 cracks on the cooler fan blades. I need to replace the fan, but I need to know, to do for all portable computers dv7 series coolers are identical and compatible (for example - I found in the cooler shop for $ 4 and it is marked as compatible dv7 6000 series, it will be compatible with my dv7 6153er)?

Not the series 6xxx even are will be because cpu/gpu configurations of different fan/radiator installation.

Also doubt $4 many fan will buy at least that he used a cheap copy of China.

Quality original nine fan is going to be $ 9 to $ 19 while waiting on luck & how much effort you put in, usually if you have the fan brand name & model numbers, you can track down cheap quality so that if the price of sourcing by laptop model has a premium...

Be careful as the Chinese copy or without fans no expensive name are terrible...

  • Satellite A210-199 - how to replace the fan?

A Satellite A210-199 of the fan does not work, where to replace in Donetsk (Ukraine)?

    Hi romantik4488,

On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of all authorized service providers. Technicians can replace the fan and order a new one. You can search here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider

Replacing the fan isn't easy because many parts must be removed, then the best option is in touch with an authorized service provider.

Not the laptop is built with a tight specs is not so easy to simply remove the fan. To access the fan requires a complete dissembly of the laptop to get to the fan.

  • Replacing the fan X 230

    Hi all

I am reaching out to the community to see if someone has had to replace the fan on their X 230.

    If so:

-Where did you buy the part?

-This manual is exactly what you had to do? http://download.Lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/PC/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/0b48666.PDF

-Do you need to provide your own thermal paste or does the unit?

    Thank you

    Drew

Good day and welcome to the community.

I had the good luck, ordering parts maintenance directly from:

    http://www-304.IBM.com/shop/Americas/webapp/WCS/stores/servlet/default/PromotionDisplay?promoName=PA...

There is also a toll-free number on this page, if you need assistance.

While I have not replaced a X 230 heat unit, I did so on a X201T and a 220 X. The procedure described in the manual of the material is accurate. Note that the system board must come completely as the thermal unit is on the underside. If you are under warranty, you can communicate with the Service first, before getting into your machine.

Finally, Yes, the thermal units, I bought directly had thermal grease applied previously.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.
