  I have a 364 pages with 322 illustrations, photographs mainly, for offset printing.

  The photographs will be be overprinted with the varnish on a plate in the fifth, and I set it up as follows:

  On a new layer, (double layer 1) all photos are removed, but not their mounts.

  The frames are then filled with 100% black.

  All text blocks and page numbers must also be deleted.

  I realize I could have done this job easier if I put all the images on their own layer first, but unfortunately I do not have.

  And I don't do myself, script, so I was wondering if anyone has a script that will do...

  With the help of CC 2015.1 on Windows 7.

  Hi Karl,

  Page numbers are added or removed by the "Header & Footer" tool in Acrobat.

  If it pleases you, move to component tools & choose Edit PDF tool. You have the option of "Header & Footer", select the option 'Remove' to remove the full header & footer, or you can choose the update option to make changes in the page footer header &.

  If you choose the Update option, header & foot dialog box will appear on the screen, disable the script page number (example: <1>>) & click OK to confirm the changes.

  Just installed Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  When I print documents, I need to print WITHOUT the page numbers in the header (ie: page 1 of 4) and the date at the bottom.  I lived all the parameters that I find and cannot find this option.  Help, please!

  You can remove the default header, footer... using AMPe configuration. This example so for Firefox on the tab "margins & header/footer":

  

  You simply give all areas "in white".

  These page numbers were initially created using Acrobat PDF header and footer.

  I have a 750 page pdf document that I've created.

  I have to sometimes the pages up and down after that I added the page numbers in the document by using the Header_Footer tool on the right column of tools.

  But after you save the document, if I get a few pages around, I can't go back and change the page numbers.

  I thought that the page numbers, as indicated in the header and footer must have changed automatically, but I guess that once its print, that it cannot be edited - is that, as what is?

  So I guess we should always first get a copy without numbers of pages before confirming the documents and the creation of an index.

  A way to remove these page numbers already there and add new page numbers.

  Its a lot of work to align 750 court documents and then realize that you must move some and then realize the page numbers cannot be changed and thus begin to do this all over again to compile which can take about 10 hours.

  My question is quite simple, but I hope that overall, I got my point. Sorry if I made it is too complex.

  If no simple way, want to know if anyone has another different tool or a few recommendations to better highlight what I'm doing wrong.

• jump page in miniature of range of page numbers

  Does anyone know why my page in my palette pages numbering does not match the actual page numbers? I searched in the online forums and can't seem to find an answer.

  At the beginning of my document, there is a small black arrow above the first page. The first page is numbered 1, but the palette shows as page 11.

  

  I double clicked on the black triangle, the numbering Options box and Section shows up like this:

  

  It does not seem possible to uncheck the box 'Start Section' to all the.

  Later in the document, pages jump sharply in the Pages palette:

  

  Notice how the number increased from 199 to 1100. In the document itself, which is page 199 in the thumbnail above is actually the page 99. Words page 1100 above is actually the page 100. Based on figures jumping, I thought that there could be a section there, but there is no small black arrow to show the beginning of a new section. When I click on page 1100 and select the numbering Options and article, I see this:

  

  When I try to disable the checkbox and save, nothing happens. If I try to pull up this same dialog box again, her "Section start" is always checked.

  Look at all these numbers. If you remove the first digit 1 for each one they run consecutively from 1 to about 106.

  The first figure is the section prefix that is shown in the first screen realized as 1, so clear jut who filed and it will go away.

  Your file, it reads from left to right? The pages are in the right order? The text block are strings in the right order?

  Try to export your file in .idml (in having first removed the numbering blocks) and to reopen it and recreate the numbering, maybe this will solve your problem.

• Enigma page numbering

  I am currently working on a hymnal where I have will import about 800 in PDF format, with each document imported as a page or two partitions. I put it in place in the ID like a book, with a few dozen files using chapters.

  Page numbers are where things get difficult. On average, each song is a page, but there are several cases where the songs are two pages. With respect to the numbering of the pages, I would be automatic, so that the numbers will change as you add or remove songs, and if the index is updated automatically as well. However, I can't think a way for page numbers move from a page at regular intervals to accommodate the songs on two pages. Basically, every song will have its own number, so it is not strictly page numbering in a traditional sense of the term.

  1. new Adobe Indesign CS4 (.indd file) document created from old file .p65 to Pagemaker.  Had page numbers at this time.

  2 moved some text around and changed the Table of contents (which was part of the text of the .indd, not generated by Indesign file) to reflect the changes in the text. Was still, at this time, page numbers.

  3 went to do a PrintBooklet and export to a .pdf file so that I could print from Adobe Acrobat.  Does not check for page numbers.

  4 has started to print and realized the page numbers disappeared - not only that they were not in the .pdf file, they were gone from the .indd file.

  5 see two dredged upward by a Google web pages.  Also had sent Indesign CS3 for Dummies.

  6. all sources are unanimous that I should have access the pages of Master Document - there is a single right-hand page on which the document starts and then double-spread pages accordingly - and use the text tool to draw an image on one side of the two-page master, then make a Page number current/marker/special character Type/Insert.  Repeat on the other side. And see if you now have the numbering of the pages in the actual pages of the text.

  7. I did a panel of window/Pages/Pages, drew my first image on the page master double page, then tried the Type/insert a special character.  It did not show a letter as they had said.  Similarly, on the other side.

  You could have simply expanded them until the page numbers are visible.

  The page break displays only the masters if you are a teacher or pages live when you are there. If you had just typed a 1 you would have gone to page 1.

  I have an application in c# (using the Acrobat SDK and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro) that merges several large PDF files.  Each PDF has his own page numbering (which can be removed since I'm creating the PDFs only to merge Reporting Services, but can not create my PDF merged into Reporting Services).

  Currently, when I merge PDF files, all PDF files keep their numbering page (as expected).  So I'm having labels page 1 as much as there are reports being merged.  What I then want to do, it's sort of power update/add page update numbering after that PDF files have been merged into one.

  The page number text box is in the footer of each PDF document that I'm melting.  Is it possible to somehow this textbox object get and update with the new page number?  If not, is the best way to approach the issue using the JavaScript addWatermark() method?

• I am trying to print PDFS from Safari, but can not see the page numbers

  I just opened a document PDF 700 + pages in Safari and need to print the odd pages and there, but I can't see the page numbers displayed when I scroll the document. When I view the same document on an iPad, the page numbers change when I scroll but on my iMac (with the help of Safari 10) they appear not at all - and 700 + pages is a lot to go wrong! The clues how I can spend on 'display the page number?

  The default Apple PDF Internet plug-in used by Safari does not display the page numbers (except if they are in the footer of the PDF document in question), and there is no setting in Safari preferences to turn on this feature. Your best bet is to download the PDF file, then open it in preview or Acrobat Reader, where the thumbnails will be the correlation to page numbers. Then you can select several arbitrary thumbnails using the control button to print those selected pages. In the Pages section of the print Panel, you select "Selected Pages in the sidebar".

  The PDF Internet plug-in installed by Adobe Acrobat Reader or Pro displays the page current and total page in its turnaround Panel. If there are page numbers in the footer of the PDF file accessed, they are not deleted. You must enable Internet Adobe plug-in to Safari preferences: Security Panel.

  iBooks would better adoption if iBooks would allow just anyone to perform a search on a page number and the original paragraph/sentence, or allow someone to select text and display the original page and the paragraph/sentence.
