Remove product key

I want to install windows xp professional on a desktop computer that I can put in the basement where we have a projector. The problem is that I live in a dorm, so my basement is shared with a few other people. I don't mind that other people using the computer. In fact, this is the reason why I'm getting there. However, it is very easy just remove the hard disk and then read the product key on a separate computer. I was therefore wondering if it is possible to remove the product key if I installed all necessary updates?

  • Remove product key of the machine which will not start.

    Hello

As the title suggests my question is fairly simple. I want to withdraw the license of the laptop that primer is more, but I can't find information on how to do it.

If the copy of Windows 8 is delivered with your computer (OEM) license is related to this that computer and you cannot install it on any other computer. If you purchased Windows 8 then just use your editing equipment and install it on another computer. When you get an error indicating that your copy is to use already activate by phone.  Here are the instructions; Windows key + R, type slui 4, choose your country, call the phone number, when you get an automated response or say nothing and wait to be connected to a "no live assistance, explain your problem in full and the tech will be able to activate your Windows 8 for you. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

Right. The rule is quite clear. It is a copy (or a license) for
    each computer.

There is nothing new here. This is exactly the same rule that has been in
effect on all versions of Windows from at least with Windows 3.1.

    > (that is the one I don't want activation on). Could someone help me remove the already activated product key?

There is no such thing as deleting a product key.

Is your copy of Windows OEM or retail? If it is OEM, you are on
chance. The biggest drawback of an OEM version which is its license
It binds permanently to the first computer on which it is installed. It can
never legally be moved to another computer, sold or donated
    (except with the original computer).

But if it is retail trade, no problem. Just uninstall of the of
computer (delete, format the drive, or install another operation
system, etc.), then install it on the other computer. You will have to
Activate by phone instead of the internet, but it will be fast
    and easy. Read here:

    help the Sheriff thanks geo

    Hi George,.

Assuming that this is the product key for your or an operating system, the next three paragraphs apply.

If it of a desktop computer and came up with the system, it should be on a small label about 4 "x 1" on the back, the sides or the same low of the computer or, if bought separately in a box with a CD, in the box or documentation in the box it came in (same size as on the machine) or " If ordered online that she might be located in an e-mail sent at the same time of the purchase from the online location from which it was purchased.

If it is a laptop and came with the system, it should be on a small label about 4 "x 1" on the bottom or possiby inside the compartment of the machine from the laptop computer or, if bought separately in a box with a CD in the box or documentation in the box it came in (same size as on the machine) or " If ordered online that she might be located in an e-mail sent at the same time of the purchase of the online location where you bought it.

If you can't find it always, pleasse see next article to learn how to get a repacement according to the mode of acquisition of the operating system software (if the position is in the Vista forum, it applies to all operating systems of Windows): http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_install/i-have-lost-my-product-key-for-windows-vista-how/67fe8b74-0d29-47e4-8a78-99f7e34255e8.

Those are the two most common types of Microsoft products, we cover here with these product keys.  If it's for something else, please post back with the specific product (name and version) and the acquisition method that applies the product key so we can find the right way to help you.

  • Re: Different Windows 7 another pro product key then press the down key

    Hi all

    Why is this?
Different product under Windows 7 pro key other then the button on the bottom of the laptop.

I used 2 different tools to recover my product key Windows 7 Pro.
I have reinstalled this once using a defined recovery DVDs. Using 2 or 3 discs, but I do not remember that I had to enter the key when I reinstalled.

I used nirsoft ProduKey. Can someone there check pls?
    Mine is a 64-bit system.
One of my friends bought a laptop with a windows system 7 at home, but the office went to black. I told her check the product key, if it is the same as the bottom of her dressing room, then maybe the seller or someone else has used its product key on another system and Microsoft has taken this key on a blacklist. I don't know, just a possibility.

I tried to check mine, but it shows me a different key. Checked with 2 tools.

    Thank you

    Hello

Laptop Toshiba computers are preinstalled with an image of Toshiba. This isn't a single Windows operating system but a pilot cotaning package, tools and additional software.
Of my knowledge, the Toshiba preinstalled image is already activated by the factory.
The same image is used for the entire series laptop and I think that's the reason why the product key of Windows 7 at the bottom of the device is different from the key used in the image.

  • After update Win OS is not genuine and my product key is not valid

    Hello

I have a Toshiba EA60 - 156 computer equium laptop using the preinstalled software. Suddenly after running auto-updates to update, windows think now its not authentic and my product key is not valid. After trying to check online, I was told to contact Toshiba after checking the key online. Online my copy is authentic, but windows still considers that it is not.

    What should I do?

    Iain

I raise reading Microsoft license Validation could be responsible for such messages.
This tool distributed by Microsoft through its Windows Update platform for some time considered the factory image Toshiba installed an illegal copy of Windows XP.

I think that to avoid popping up this message, you must remove this License validation tool.
I think that the idea is also to contact the service partner in your country. Maybe they have detailed information on this issue

Product key located on the COA (certificate of authenticity). COA is a label which is glued under your laptop. It looks like something that is indicated in the following link:

It is not stored anywhere within HP and Microsoft.
