LJ 1320:1320 duplex

I lost the ability to duplex print, after installing Windows 10 and pilots it is advisable for this printer and the HP operating system.

Suggestions to get this back?

To add to what @SHThompson said:

The function "automatic detection" used by some drivers on the install (or update) does not always; make sure the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that a single is present):

  • For the instance of the printer in question, bring up the printer properties dialogue.
  • Select the device settings tab.
  • Make sure the duplex unit is set to installed and not installed.

You will probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the settings of the device.

Set as installed in Duplex Automatic Two-Sided accessory, click OK and check any change.

  • HP 1320: HP solenoid SL3 LaserJet 1320 do not engage

I just replaced my HP 1320 fuser unit. After put the whole printer, the output rollers are not mobile and the book of jams. I do not have a duplexer and I think SL3 solenoid must be enabled to make the rolls to work properly. The original installation is on a Win98 computer, and now I'm testing on Windows Vista. This could be a problem of drivers? Printer works fine if I open the back door. With rollers does not, printing is not going to the output tray.

The valve is never bad.  You probably did not rear sprockets to the right or to the small room that sits on the arm of 'L' of the solenoid valve.  Watch the clip for the way the gears should be.

  • LaserJet 1320: Print multiple copies

Regardless of the number of copies I specify to print on my Laserjet 1320, it will only print one copy. I use Word 2010, Windows 8.1

I suspect that the following is the case:

    • Your document is a MultiPage document (i.e. not just a single page).
    • You select that copies be printed "collected" (e.g. pages 1,2,3,..., 1, 2, 3,..., 1, 2, 3,...) rather than "not assembled" (i.e. pages 1,1,1,..., 2, 2, 2,..., 3, 3, 3,...).
    • The driver assumes that the printer can produce multiple copies of a source only copy - this is known as ing MOPY(I think it stands for "copy of the original multiple").
    • But the printer does not function MOPY - usually this is only available if the printer has a hard drive or a large RAM disk - I do not think that the LJ1320 supports one of these.

You can confirm that the foregoing occurs by:

    • "Capture" a print job to a file (using the option "print to a file" in the print Word dialogue or sample driver
    • Then examing initially file resulting .prn (you should be able to open it in Notepad).
    • Most of the file can be unintelligible, but initially will look like:

If the command SET QTY is there, this confirms that the driver think the printer will make copies.

If so, check the settings of the device to the printer:

to check whether or not the system thinks that a hard disk is installed on the printer, and Mopier mode is enabled or not.

If the disk hard printer is set to installed, change to not installed.

If the Mopier Mode is set to Enabled, change it to disabled.

Then repeat the tests to see if it makes a difference.

He should do it, although the print jobs sent to the printer will be larger (they will contain several copies).

  • HP Laserjet 1320: Printer hard drives

Is about to recycle both HP printers for new ones.

These printers have HP hard drives:

The Photosmart 8250 and Laserjet 1320 contain not all hard disks.  Make sure that no media cards are left in the Photosmart 8250, these could contain images that you want to keep.

  • Pavilion g6 1320 - is: laptop won't start not

I recently had a problem with my pavilion laptop g6 series 1320 - themselves.

When I hit the power button a black screen will appear saying that the hard drive is not found. However, when I rebooted the system, windows load appeared but it does not connect... A black screen appears and a long time until I unplugged.

PS. A ticking, ticking sound from the hard drive was heard during the black screen with no hard drive found error, and when the windows seem to be from the black screen following the loading of Windows.

Would it be to say that the hard drive is in danger and it is already damaged or maybe it's a cable problem or what?

    Thank you.

    Hi @AhmedHussein28,

    Thank you for your response.

I wasn't ignoring your information on the hard drive.  In the link I sent there is another link on the testing of hardware failures include the hard drive.

Here is the link. HP Notebook PC - hardware failures (Windows 8) screening.  Although it lists Windows 8 steps will be the same in Windows 10.

If you can still access Windows I suggest you protect your data to avoid loss.  There is a video in the above document on the test of the hard disk to help you.

    Good luck!

    Hello:

Your model is not supported by HP for W7.

Try the W7 x 64 drivers and software from the HP 2000 t - 2A 00 on your model.  Do not use the BIOS or firmware files.

This model almost the same hardware did yours.

You don't need any CD. Go to the HP Support and drivers website,
and search for your printer. Find the appropriate driver for your version of
Windows, download it, install it and follow the prompts.

  • Cannot install HP 1320 on Windows 8.1 network

I have Windows 8.1 on a LAN, and a HP LaserJet 1320 PCL6 printer is connected to another machine on the network.  The printer appears in the 'network' thingy on explore just as it is supposed to, so the network connection is OK.  I downloaded the latest driver HP UPD's such as recommended.  I unpacked and installed the driver without problem.   When I try to install the printer, Windows first searches the ridiculousness of "Windows update service" until finally, he realizes that there is nothing useful there (I realized this 10 years ago).  Then he invites me to provide the path to the INF of the pilot, and I do.  So far so good.

Can I get a dialog box saying that Windows cannot find a driver.  I use 5.7.0 UPD for Windows 64-bit driver.  No known here problem?  Any difficulty?

A weird thing is that the driver said 'PCL 5' but the printer is 'PCL 6.'  Is this a problem?

Thanks a lot for your help.  This weird rigmarole has been around since XP.

For the record, it wasn't the problem.  The printer is on a network print server, but Windows8 always insists to try to detect it automatically.  He finds an instance of the same printer who had been 'shared' by another computer on the network and kept insisting that it was my only choice.  The missing ingredient has been implemented in the queue for printing and port on my own desk, which must be done explicitly.  Your post brought me to realize that I had to punch down through new Anti-Productivity-layer of Windows 8 (the ' experience') for the nuts and bolts of real under.  However it is often horrible, it has at least the merit of familiarity.

  • New cartridge HP 1320, installed, print without error messages and blank pages.

HP laserjet 1320 running Windows 7 a new cartridge installed. About 20 pages have been printed perfectly well use few months. A day after the image were printed and the printer was arrested after the execution of the work; then, when the printer was turned on to the different print document, it has started printing blank pages without error since the same test page.

The Q5949XC cartridge was removed and turned to redistribute the toner in addition to recycle power but the problem persists.

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

Try to print a test page for the device control panel & see the result.

If internal printer test pages doesn't have an image printed on (blank page), try to replace (if available) by another toner cartridge or toner cartrdige tested with another printer of the work.  This is to confirm if the fault is with the toner cart. or with the printer hardware.

If the fault is with the printer hardware, then you may have to contact HP technical support & have the product hardware identified & solved problem.
