Remove the module in Mozilla Firefox

Hello

I recently accidentally installed an add-on in my Mozilla Firefox. I want to remove the toolbar, but every time when I right click the mouse, the "remove from toolbar" grayed out. It will let me delete the toolbar. What is the problem?

Thank you for your help.

Lisa

  • Remove the Yahoo toolbar in Firefox 12

I can't get rid of the Yahoo toolbar in Firefox 12. It does not arise in extensions or add-ons.

I have eliminated all programs of Yahoo (toolbar, IM and update programs) in the Control Panel Add/Remove programs.

I restarted Firefox in safe mode. There is still no Yahoo modules or Extensions that appear.

I then went to help. Troubleshooting information | See file

I clicked on the record Show.

There is a folder called "Yahoo! Inc.". When I open Yahoo Inc., there is another folder called ytoolbar. I deleted Yahoo! Inc. when Firefox was open and it was closed. As soon as I restart Firefox, the file of Yahoo Inc. is recreated.

I can't remove the Yahoo Inc. folder permanently.

    It is an invasive program.

How can I get rid of him?

The problem is resolved. I deleted a subdirectory in the Extensions folder, even if no extension was visible. Here is a screenshot:
    http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/319/extensionssubdirectoryamw.jpg

    Here's where the folder:
    C:\Users\KHS\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\is9gtev5.default\extensions

The subdirectory highlighted contained a lot of Yahoo. So I just blew the whole subdirectory. The other key point is that the subdirectory is born at the date of installation of Yahoo.

    Problem is solved.

  • I would like to completely remove the nightly build of firefox. I searched for this info already and you have not found anything that could help. I am pretty new to linux. I am currently running ubuntu 11.10

I'm just trying to remove every night of my computer. I deleted firefox 10 already. I'm going down to firefox 4, but before I do, I want every night of my computer and it is not listed in the Installer package synaptic or any other. There's a reason I want the old version of firefox, but I won't get into that right now. It is a totally different matter. But I'm pretty new to linux, so please try to give directions or answers in a way that I will be able to understand if possible. Thank you for your time.

10 a 1 of Firefox is an older version (Aurora/Nightly) alpha.

Is this a version that you have installed yourself from the Mozilla server or is this a version from the repositories of Ubuntu?

In the latter case, you will need to use the installation and remove the item from your Linux distribution software.

If you have installed Firefox yourself, then you can simply delete the Firefox installation directory.

You can find the latest version of Firefox in all languages and for all systems operating here:

  • How to install a "Printe' SAR' icon on the toolbar in Mozilla Firefox?

About five years ago, I bought a laptop HP running Windows 7. It became obsolete, slow and unreliable.
Last week, I bought and downloaded Windows 8 and download Mozilla Firefox for free as well. Wow!
Just like a new, much better computer.
Only one problem. I can print from my email site without any problems. However, I can't print from a
webpage because there is no printer icon on my toolbar for Mozilla Firefox, because it was in my toolbar in Windows 7.
Can I transfer the any 158 apps for my new toolbar, but those I have not yet needed.
How can I transfer a working icon "Printer-s" on my Firefox toolbar?
    Thank you.

  • I can't get rid of an empty box with the header of Mozilla Firefox.

This rectangular box just won't go away. It lies in the middle of the screen and obscures the rest of the page. I tried to restart unsuccessfully.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • What is the difference between Mozilla, Firefox and Google?

When I turn on the computer, Google happens to connect to because that (I assume) society of e-mail. But there are icons on a 'bar' which are apparently Firefox. And nothing says Mozilla. It seems to me that Firefox used to mount and then there was a place to click on Google for e-mail.

I do not understand these relationships and a browser that's vs vs search engine homepage (which is always, for some reason, something that is called 'bing'). Young people aware of the computer can not give me the answers - they always start talking about circles around my head as if I already understand these things. At my work, the only class I've ever had was when this all started around 1991.

Google has a browser called Google Chrome.
Microsoft Windows provides and installs a browser called Internet Explorer (IE). You have IE on the computer.

Would you have posted this question using Firefox. It seems that Firefox works. It is possible to set Firefox as the default browser, if that's what you try to do it.

  • What are the features of Mozilla Firefox for Linux?

I found an article about Firefox Desktop features. Linux and Windows have the same characteristics?
If this isn't the case, I need to know the characteristics for Linux.

Firefox for Windows, Mac OS x (10.6 +) and Linux (from mozilla.org) are pretty much the same.

You can find some of the shortcuts from the Menu and KB is a little different on the three operating systems because of their BONES in the Human Interface (HIG) guidelines followed. May also have small differences in appearance.

For example, tools-> Options on Windows is Firefox-> Preferences on Mac and editing-> Preferences under Linux.

Adobe is kind of screwing with Flash by Linux users only supported Flash 11.2 with security updates.

  • The Feedback of Mozilla Firefox page does not work.

My suggestions for the future Firefox (or Thunderbird) updates:

Twonky has informed my Twonky beam will be is more updated for Firefox because of the large number of recent updates. I suspect that there may be a similar problem with other plugins. Why not save your updates and to maximally release every 6 months - as is done with UBUNTU?

The Feedback page does not seem to take my presentation - I see others with the same problem.

Well done plugins should not have been affected by updates to Firefox. However, most of the extensions on the other hand needed "tweaking" for each new version that came out last year. Although the extensions that have been received on the official Mozilla Addons site had the advantage to be automatically updated for each new version as long as the extension past the 'coding' scan for compatibility. IOW, most of the extension using AMO developers had this problem.

Which will be different from Firefox, which is scheduled for release Jan 31 10. Extensions are supposed to be compatible and will not be automatically disabled just because of the update.

According to this page - http://twonky.com/support/downloads.aspx - Twonky is declining TwonkyBeam support for Windows PC with any browser. It looks like them blamed it on Mozilla is kind of fake.

"Please note that 1.9 TwonkyBeam for Internet Explorer will be our last version of this product. While it does not expire, we will no longer provide updates. We are also is more able to support TwonkyBeam for all other browsers'
