Remove Trogan "Win7 Antivirus 2012"
I'm working on a desktop Hp Pavalion p6710f
Edition Windows7 Home Premium 64
I have a 'Win7 Antivirus 2012' trogan virus.
Anyone know how to remove it?
Impossible to get on the internet... to download nothing to delete.
Tried safe mode and used "last know good configuration" but did not work.
Looked in the registry and it has not shown up there.
Looked into installed programs and was not there either.
Is that what I can do withour using "Recovery Tool"?
Help, please!
Hello
It only redirects you with the message 'no restoration or Recore not found... '. ", you must run it manually, do not click Restore but go to Windows\System32 do right click and run as administrator
Good luck.

I had the virus "XP Antivirus 2012" and now impossible to update MSE
I had the virus "XP Antivirus 2012" and now impossible to update MSE. Yesterday, I downloaded the Scanner of MS on another computer and transferred to the computer infected in safe mode and ran the Scanner from Ms. Fortunately, it removed the virus, but this morning I started the computer and check the updates on MSE, but he would not check. A window titled "Microsoft Security Essentials" read, "Security Essentials could not check the updates antivirus and antispyware due to internet or network connectivity problem." He was also the error code: 0 x 80248014.
Can my firewall Windows or Security Center maintain MSE? Or should I do something else?
Probably a corrupted Winsock, try running the Fixit 50203 (scroll down page)
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811259
If it is impossible to access the Fixit on your own computer try dl on another computer as you did with the Safety Scanner.
Have you tried the bleepingcomputer.com removal guide / http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-xp-antispyware-2012 (again may require the use of another computer in mode minimum to dl and file transfer)
Since you use MSE, have tried the Safety Scanner but still have problems consider contacting support.
Start here - https://support.microsoftsecurityessentials.com/
and select the link that says - I think my computer is infected. Options vary from
region, but phone support leads you to the Microsoft answer service (http://www.answerdesk.com/)

You ran all but one that suits.
First, restart the computer in safe mode with networking using the infected account. Right-click on Internet Explorer and choose Run as administrator. If you still cannot connect to the internet, you may use the other account to download the files, save them to the desktop of the infected account. Due to the Malwarebytes method used to detect malware, you must be on account infected when using the scanner to scan.
Click HERE and download FixExe.reg. Save the file to your desktop. Right-click on the file and choose merge. Confirm guests. This should restore your ability to open executable files.
Then click HERE and download the file save to your desktop. It's renamed Malwarebytes. Many times malware blocks the execution of software malware scanners. Change of name for a random letters and numbers, as well as .com, or .bat will deceive the malware. Allow the scanner to update, and then perform a quick analysis. Remove any detected object.
Post back with your results pls.

You have disabled AVG before you run the removal tool?
You will also be able to stop AVG by disabling startup items.
To identify what loads when you start using Autoruns (freeware from Microsoft).
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig.
Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

How can I find and remove the 'eco antivirus' virus from my laptop?
I recently contracted computer disguised as «eco antivirus» virus I can't find the files on my computer to remove them. I also tried to do a system restore in the hope of eliminating the virus. What can I do?
Eco Antivirus is a rogue security program. Here is the removal instructions:

If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all shops are skilled at removing malware, and even if they are, your computer may be so infested that Windows will have to be properly installed. If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

I'm just afraid that the process of deletion, or myself with a lack often of the wheels removed a necessary file.
HelloThis problem occurs when your .exe file associations are broken. This is usually caused by malicious software that changes the default file associations in Windows. Follow these instructions to resolve this problem:Download exeHelper from one of these two links: link 1, link 2 double-click exeHelper to run the fix. A black window should appear. Once the patch is finished, press any key to close.I hope this helps you.Brian -
