Unit incorporating 4.1.1 now only against Call Manager!

Last night, I removed cards Dialogic of my server Unity, following the simple process of 33 steps described in the Guide of Reconfiguration of Unity (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_upgrade_guides_chapter09186a0080205a8d.html#wp1038715).

All right, except that the service of the unit refused to start. Event Viewer has indicated that the AvCsMgr service cannot start because it depends on directly to service non-existent 'Dialogic '. I guess it would be the 34th stage!

My solution, short of reinstalling the software, has been rather to remove the Dialogic dependency (in hexadecimal, and I left TAPI in place) to the registry key for the AvCsMgr of service and restart the box. Once I did that everything starts very well.

My questions: what I've done for myself? I won't regret, come time to upgrade, after removing this dependency manually? Is it really that simple? Everyone thought to address reconfiguration guide referenced above with this 34th step?

I think you'll be fine. On upgrade unit removes all its services and RECONFIGURE them again, so I have no reason to believe that there will be lingering effects of this after having upgraded.

Uninstallation of Dialogic should have removed this dependence, so this step is not usually necessary.

    You can remove the software iscsi adapter by disabling everything first. Under the SWiscsi adapter > properties > configure > disable activated.

    After that, the server will request a reboot for the change.

    After this restart, swiSCSI adapter would have been automatically deleted.
