Rename a tab

It's strange.  When I add a tab to a front panel control, I can change the tab name all I want.  I can insert the tabs and rename them without problem.

But I have a tab control that I worked with for a while I want to add a tab to.  When I do, now the entire tab control refuses to let me to change the name of the tab.  Even if I copy just the control to a new VI, I can always change the name of the tab.

What I'm missing here?

Hi xl600?

Click right on it, Advanced / tab set page change the layout of the tab to nothing and then change it back to "text only" and it work once again.

Must be a bug.

Good luck

  • Bug with renaming the tabs (4.0.0.13.80)

    Hey all,.

I noticed a bug to rename tabs of the query results. If 2 or more tabs with the same name, the content of the window does not change when you select a different tab with the same name.

    To reproduce:

    Open a spreadsheet

    Run query "select 'test' from dual;

Rename the "Query results" tab to "test".

Race explain the plan on the above statement

Rename the "Explain Plan" tab to "test".

Click on the first tab of the test, the content will still display the content of plan to explain.

You cannot permanently change the names of the tabs because it is defined in the source code of Web pages.

If you always keep the same session, consider using an add-on as title tag rename.

  • Cannot rename tabs on leaves that are duplicated by the numbers

    Hello-

When I duplicate a sheet in a spreadsheet by default Numbers with 'map name-1' and if I duplicate it several times now I get "name-1-1" journal name-1-1-1 "etc etc.  When I think I try to rename the tabs - if double clicking or by using the right click drop-down window - name does not.  He returned to the "map name-1" or whatever it was before.

When I create a new tab I can rename it.  Weird.

Is there any box I need ICT in preferences?

    Thank you

    Robert

    Hi Robert,.

I had no trouble renaming worksheet, using the procedure described below below:

The original, 'Sheet 1', is off the screen to the left. all others shown here, except one selected, are duplicates worksheet 1.

The first was 1-1 when creating and renamed sheet 2.

The second was 1-1 when creating and renamed sheet 3.

The third was 1-1 when creating and ended up with this name for now.

The fourth was sheet 1-2 when creating and ended up with this name for now.

The last was a duplicate of sheet 2 and received the name of worksheet 2-1, according to the established model.

Here are the tabs for sheets of same in the same order, after the last three above had been renamed:

In each case, the name change followed the same procedure:

    • "hover" the mouse pointer in the tab needs to be renamed
    • Click on the v that appears to open the menu here (in the tab of the sheet 3 below)
    • Choose "Rename".
    • When you release the mouse button, the menu disappears and the name of the sheet will be selected (highlighted in blue)
    • Begin typing to replace the full name

  • Download interactive report to CSV format

    Hello
We are on apex 3.1.2.00.02. I have two questions...

    1. the interactive reports have a - (dash) in the columns with a null value. So when we download to excel dashboard is always there... the user wants to null. I can't find where it is set to make this dashboard in the report. Can someone help me understand how to do what really null?

    2. When download us the report in csv format, it opens automatically in Excel (which we want); [the name of the tab in Excel is something like... csv] daily_bank_definition (1) if we try to rename the tab we get an Excel error on naming format invalid even if the new name is 'valid '. Is it possible to have the tabname set to what you want? Has anyone seen elsewhere this problem and have you been able to get around?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Kristina

    Hi Kristina,

To remove the indent of null columns you must go to the attributes of the report and under Pagination, you will see "display Null values as. Just remove the - from there.

To change the tab name to what you want you will be first to save the csv file and remove the name of the [1]. Then, you should be able to change it.

  • All my tabs are missing! Rename and copy/paste the files did not help

I accidentally opened two windows of Firefox and closed one with all my tabs pinned first, then the second tab. After Firefox reload all my tabs are missing and I tried to rename files, copy and paste files, etc. as suggests these forums, but nothing has worked. I have myself screwed on?

Check first the Menu history for any tab restore options.
    In the second place.
If you have already restarted Firefox and have a copy of the files: close Firefox

    1. Open the profile folder profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
    2. Save the previous.js recovery.bak and recovery.js under another name
    3. Place the recovery files in the profile folder.

So that this does not happen again change your tab Preferences and settings or try Session Manager add and save your profile.

  • I was prompted to install an update, after installing and restarting all of my previous tabs have disappeared.

Once I restarted, all my tabs open (including pins and Add-ons pages) have disappeared. In my sessionstore folder all files have been changed after the update. Is there anything I can do to get this back?

Yes, try to copy this sessionstore.bak file in your folder [random] .default. Make sure Firefox is closed before doing so. Then rename the sessionstore.jsfile. Also rename the folder sessionstore-backups of "old-sessionstore".

Sometimes Firefox can't read the sessionstore.js file if it can detect other session restore files (recovery.js, recovery.bak, and previous.js) in the sessionstore-backups folder.

  • Is it all the same to recover the lost tabs when they were not part of the previous session?

Basically, I close firefox with all my open tabs and then did not realize that a window was open. I closed the pop-up window without thinking about it, and now when I click on 'restore previous session' it restores just the a pop up.

    The usual method is:

    (1) exit Firefox normally, and these changes must happen:

    • Recovery.js is moved to the folder sessionstore-backups on the main level of the profile folder and renamed sessionstore.js
    • Recovery.bak is deleted sessionstore-backups

    (2) Once Firefox has stopped updating things, and rename sessionstore.js sessionstore.old

    (3) copy the file that you want to restore and rename sessionstore.js

    (4) start Firefox and it should read sessionstore.js and move it to the folder sessionstore-backups as previous.js

It works for you - are the tabs old restoration-able?

  • Can I restore previous groups of tabs after you accidentally open a new session?

I had about 8 groups of 6 tabs each, open all the time. After a recent update of Windows, I accidentally opened Firefox without restoring the previous session. Now, it seems to me losing all of these groups - do I have to recreate all the one at a time? If so, is there a way to save the groups so that this does not happen?

You have a file upgrade.js - < build_id > that might have these groups of tabs?

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

You can save session files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder to keep possible significant session data.
You can find these files in the sessionstore-backup folder:

previous.js (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.js from previous session that was loaded successfully)
recovery.js (latest version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
recovery.bak (previous version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
upgrade.js-<build_id> (backup created during an upgrade of Firefox)

You can copy a file in the sessionstore-backup folder to the main profile and rename sessionstore.js file to replace the current file (make a backup of the current sessionstore.js).

  • How to make easy tabs to access?

Hello! Earlier this morning, I removed some old bookmarks that were automatically on Mozilla when I installed a few months ago. But maybe that's what caused the problem - I don't know. But I know that it is not as easy to move from page to page, as it used to be now. Initially, it was extremely difficult to find an 'x' to exit at the upper right. I finally corrected somewhat by changing some of my options in Mozilla, etc. But I still don't like how the page is filled up to the top of the computer desktop laptop. I don't like how I need to switch to another page. I don't like how other tabs sometimes can't be seen until I click to the top in the upper right corner. Maybe what I need to do is to uninstall Mozilla and then reinstall it. Then I won't have to worry about how understand how manually to get it to the condition it was at the beginning. I think I'll do that later today.

Sometimes the file that stores the positions and dimensions of the window becomes corrupt and Firefox can be much too big for the screen.

You can try to resize Firefox using the window control menu, which appears usually when you press Alt + space. Maximize the window should adapt to the available space, but for a resizable window, you may need to use different Move and size controls to get it again in a sensitive place.

If this does not work, you can try this:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear?

  • The new tab button has been hijacking

I've updated Auslogics Registry Cleaner. Companion Web of Lavasoft has been automatically downloaded and installed on my computer. He seems to have changed Firefox: whenever I try to open a new tab, the search engine Bing opens automatically in the new tab. I was able to stop this behavior by removing the choice of search engine Bing. Now my home page opens automatically in the new tab when I click on the + to open a new tab.

I was not able to delete the Web Companion of my computer: their uninstall program that crashes!

How can I correct the problem in Firefox with the new tab?

    Thank you.
