Rename a vCloud VAPP name VM

I am trying to automate the deployment of VAPP templates provided a custom name for the paralytic and name personalized for the confined VM. I can quite easily deploy the model with Instantiate a VAPP model, but I can't find a feature/workflow to rename the virtual machine in this paralytic. Node that I don't mean to rename the computer virtual via comments customization, I want the name VM vCloud to customize.

Any ideas?

If I remember correctly to do.

VM. Name = 'new name ';

VM. Update();

    I currently have a vCO code that can extract the UUID. However, I can't seem to figure out how the query VCloud to the properties of the object using the UUID.

    Examples on how to proceed is appreciated.

    Why not try something like obtaining an object by ID... Once you have the object, you can obtain some properties you like...

    var vApp = Server.findForType("vCloud:VApp","urn:vcloud:vapp:94144a90-04f4-41c3-87a5-722d7b219634");
    System.log("vApp Name: "+vApp.name);

    I used the VAPP id you have demonstrated in your post here... try this code and see if it works...

    Hi comp_user_800esm

    Method 1:
    You can perform a scan of the SFC (System File Checker). It lists all the issues and will also retrieve all files if necessary. Follow the steps below to p Ed a SFC Scan -.

    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
    A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

    Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

    You can perform a clean boot and check. To perform the clean boot follow step 1 mentioned in the article below, and then try again check in the clean boot state -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    If the problem is resolved check which service non-Microsoft is the source of the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.

     When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 3:

    If the problem persists, you can check if you are facing the same question in the user account new or different administrator account.  You can create a new user account on your computer, and then check.

    Create a new user account-
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

    If you are not faced with the same question in a new user account, you can view the link below and use the steps provided to fix a corrupted - user profile
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    See this post from Christophe Decanini showing how to get the object of vCloud:VM VC:VirtualMachine - https://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-24307

    Here is the script code; entries are 'vm' of type vCloudVM (vCloud virtual machine) and "vcServer' of type SdkConnection (connection vCenter):

    var managedObject = new VcManagedObjectReference();
    managedObject.type = "VirtualMachine";
    managedObject.value = vm.getVMVimRef().moRef;
    return VcPlugin.convertToVimManagedObject(vcServer , managedObject); // returns VC:VirtualMachine object

  • Script to rename work with layer names plans

    I want to create a script to rename lots a number of work plans.

    -J' have 100 named layer.

    -J' have 100 work plans.

    -I would like to rename work plans to match the layer names.

    -Layers are organized in the same descent orderas work plans (ignoring the names real artboard *).

    -The plan of work in the foreground (1 in the list) would be renamed "Journal", the second plan of work would be renamed "typewriter", the third work plan would be renamed "books", etc..

    * in the example below, the artboard named 'Graphic Board 7' is actually the 6th work plan in the list.

    LayerNames-To-Artboards.png

    Any help would be wonderful.

    Hi sensibleworld, welcome to the forum.

    For your case, it should be fairly simple. The following excerpt from script bit renames work plans to match the corresponding layer names that you described in your first post above. It only works if the number of layers and work plans correspond to such indicated and talked about in your above description of requirements.

    if (app.documents.length == 0) {
        alert("No Open / Active Document Found");
    } else {
        var doc = app.activeDocument;
        if (doc.artboards.length == doc.layers.length && doc.layers.length == doc.artboards.length) {
            for (var i = 0, l = doc.artboards.length; i < l; i++) {
                var ab = doc.artboards[i];
                ab.name = doc.layers[i].name;
            }
            alert("Finished:\nRenaming of Artboards to match Layer names is complete");
        } else {
            alert("Opps: This wont work!\n The number of Layers and Artboards do not match");
        }
    }

    I hope that this is useful for your efforts and your requirements. Welcome back to the forum.

    I don't think you can rename before checkin, but you should be able to the do during recording, or after.

    What do I mean? Prior to check-in the name simply refers to the file that you want to checkin. This name (incl. extension) will appear by default. Of course, you can write your own code to change the name (this is during the check-in - more likely a back-end component in Java). In addition, the page that you reference is a web page and the display name is nothing, but a label with the text displayed. Therefore, you can write another piece of code (this time, front-end, in idocScript), that will change the displayed text.

    As always, try to give more details what you are trying to reach (professional reasons).

  • How to rename the report server name

    Hello

    I would like to know how we can rename the report server. We have dev and environment in the same network of prod and it seems that the name of the report server must be unique.

    I followed the following link and also changed the $OH\sysman\emd\lastupld.xml file.
    How to change the name of report server?

    When I try to run the report, it still doesn't seem to work. Then, in the 'Application Server Control', I am unable to see the renamed server name.

    Please provide any information.

    Thank you

    Perhaps.

    If you talk about the forms Dev tool there are several ways to do so. I could try, it's find and replace SQL inside forms to see if the report server is hardcoded.

    Get an example on my end.

  • Rename the source of names clip?

    In FCP7, there is a very handy feature that allows you to rename the source file to match the name of the element.

    Screen shot 2011-11-02 at 11.14.04 AM.png

    This is extremely useful when you rename clips to be more appropriate/description of a project and you want to change the name of the source to match.

    Is there anyway to do something similar to the first Pro CS5.5 or you must rename each element source manually, then reconnect?

    Well... not really (but somehow). But there is a good reason why you don't want to do. Where FCP only works with QuickTime files where to rename source files to match the clip names is harmless, Premiere Pro works with a wide variety of native formats, including tapeless formats that require the naming of specific files and folders structures. If you have renamed the source file to match the clip names, formats may become unreadable by many devices and applications. Our concept is to 'do no harm '.

    However... If you want to consolidate and rename your source files to match the names of your clip (this is the part "kind of"), you can do so via the project manager (project > Project Manager).  Simply select the option 'Rename files to Match Clip names of media' when you cut your project. The reason why this option is available here, without you worry about corrupting your tapeless media structures is that Premiere Pro makes new copies of the multimedia files and puts them in a new location. In this way the original media remains intact and is not harmed. Premiere Pro can still access and open these files, since it requires structures of specific folders and naming conventions to import the files. Other applications and devices that need these structures of folders and naming conventions can always access the original source media that they were created from.

  • script to rename files with similar names?

    Hi, people.

    I have my RAW files in a single folder and my derivative images (e.g., PSD, TIFF, JPEG) in another.  The derived files share only the last four digits of the names of RAW files (for example, the RAW file is named 100826 - 14278.CR2 but the JPEG version is only named 4278.JPG).  In addition, the derived files have no metadata.

    Is it possible to use a script to match all derivatives for the last four digits-based RAW files, then change their file names to match the names of RAW.  And, if possible, can bridge waterfall then metadata less camera EXIF data in the RAW files for derived files?

    Thank you!

    -Greg

    P.S. My knowledge of scripting languages stops with cursive handwriting, so please, be gentle.

    Copy and paste the script in Extendscript Toolkit
    This utility is located in the proper folder: -.
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe utility
    MAC: /Applications/Utilities/Adobe utilities

    Start Bridge - Edit - Preferences - Startup Scripts - Click "reveal my Startup Scripts.
    This will open the folder where the script should be saved.
    (It's just a text file with the extension .jsx)
    Close and restart Bridge and accept the new script.

    You will now see a new menu item 'Metadata' select 'Rename and add metadata' in the menu.
    It will now give you the option to select the folder of raw files and the folder of derived files, it then do rename it and add metadata (I hope).

    It may be preferable to set up a couple of test files and see if it works well.
