Rename the administrator account on Win 2012 VM provisioned through vCAC

What is the best method to automatically rename the administrator account on a new virtual machine provided through vCAC?  You can create a custom property for the administrator account?

Best way to do that would be through a workflow MachineProvisioned called to vCO... I can't think otherwise. Pretty easy if optimize you the comments API operations using comments script manager package

    1. At the command prompt, type net user administrator / Active: Yes , then press on ENTER.
    2. Type net user administrator , then press on ENTER. Note: Please replace the tag with your passwords you want to set for the administrator account.

  • How to activate games in the administrator account to be played in the guest account?

    Good day everyone,

I have several downloaded games that is in the account administrator by default.  I would like to be able to play these games in the account guest by default.  Some of the games have the icons shown in the guest account Desktop, however, when you try to play them I get an error message or some special file is missing or an access denied message.

My question: How to enable these games to play in the guest account?

Thank you very much for your time and any info!

    Hi cpsi1,

Unfortunately, you are unable to access the games installed on the administrator account when you are logged on user on the computer account.

  • Could not locate the administrator account

I recently added several "standard user accounts" to my computer, but last night after cutting one of the additional accounts, I realized that my administrator account was not long on the list of accounts. I don't think I have deleted or renamed it accidentally, but I can't find it on my computer. There are important files that have been registered under this account that I can't access now. Help, please.

    Hi MsTiaLatrice,

Try the following steps to cross check whether or not the user administrator account exists on the computer.
Step 1: Control user name accounts and their type of account on the computer
    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel and click user accounts and family safety.
    b. click on user accounts, and then click on manage another account.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    c. you should see a list of user accounts with user name and account type which is administrator or standard user account.
    d. include the name of the administrator user account and restart the computer to connect to the admin account.

Note: You can rename the user account, but cannot delete the user account by logging in on the same user account. If you deleted the user by logging admin account to the other admin account, then much can do anything. However if you had saved the files before you delete the user account, then you can search for files to check if they exist.

Step 2: Search for files from the user to see if they exist
see Tips for finding files .

The laptop has the option to restore to day? Some come with a disk partition to do that, while others came with BONES and CD drivers (or the ability to create).

If it came from someone else, it's always a good idea to wipe it and start over anyway; not sure what this person was in, or what are the sites he visits. Would not be a good day for you if the black helicopters landed in your front yard to cause something that accesses the internet of this laptop without realizing you it :-(

  • I want to reset the administrator account

I want to reset the administrator account on a used pc I got for my children, how it's done on xp?

If you mean you want to reset the password, then the best information that Microsoft will allow in this forum is in the following article:

"Microsoft's strategy concerning lost or forgotten passwords"

Since you recently acquired this computer, by far the best advice would be to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows on the computer.  This way you won't have to worry about malware (or anything else you want to see your children) which may be present on your machine.  Most of the machines OEM (HP, Dell, etc.) can reinstall Windows as part of a "System Recovery" press a key designated when the first splash screen appears at startup.  You must be quick, however.  If it is not an option, go to the manufacturer's Web site and download the manual for your machine which should tell you how to reinstall Windows.

  • XP has changed the user accounts is now impossible to access the administrator account

Something has gone wrong when changing my user accounts. I don't have an administrator account can create a. I can't even restore my system. It doesn't let me do anything! What to do Help!

You use the built-in account named "Administrator"?  If so, the behavior you describe is "a feature, not a bug."

Windows XP hidden administrator account when a user account is created (because it's a good idea not to use administrator systematically; it should be saved for emergencies).

You access the administrator account integrated differently depending on whether you have XP Home or XP Pro.

    For XP Home:

You must restart in Mode without failure.  Restart the computer and start typing the F8 key as soon as the initial startup process is finished.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited too long and you have to restart again.   If you do it right, you will see the white Advance Boot Options menu on black (image).  Use the up/down arrows and the Enter key to select Mode safe because your mouse does not work on this screen.  Once the computer starts in Mode safe mode, the administrator account will appear on the Welcome screen.  If you have not changed the password, the password is blank (no password).

    For XP Pro:

Follow the signs for XP Home Edition, or in the Welcome screen, with no logged-in user, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice.  The 'classic' logon box will appear.  Type "Administrator" (without the quotes).  Once again, the default password is empty.

Once you enter the administrator account, create an account with "computer administrator" privileges for occasions when you need (for example, to run the system restore or create accounts).  You can use any name you want (other than Administrator), such as MyAdmin.

  • Cannot install Google earth. Error in the administrator account: "your system administrator set policies against the installation of this program.

Original title: why not my Windows XP SP3 machine allows installation of any product from google?

I am running Windows XP SP3 and what-so-ever did not want to upgrade to Vista or Win7.
Now I try to install google earth, what is happening is the setup.exe for downloading google earth data, but will not perform the installation process.

I get an error message saying that "the installation failed, try again."
So I asked google if he could understand that out and they were no help, so I decided to use the administrator account on my computer to install it, what was interesting on this topic (and disturbing) was that after running the same setup.exe file, a different error came up saying that "your system administrator set policies against installing this program" (or something like that)
now, I checked everything in "Political system" under administrative options, but still no help.
    Can someone help me please?
    Derek "Rick."

Well, it seems that the program has been installed, it was not recognized as a program in one of the directories, I have just fallen on the directory with the program Google earth work. The directory was hidden in the ~ temp file deep inside the C:\ drive
