  • How can I copy the user created in the administrator account?

    Hello

I would like to ask what can I do? When I installed Vista Home Premium on my computer, I created another user account! I have configured my PC how I like it! With all the parameters that I need (research, programs, etc...) I don't want 2 user account, but I can't remove the administrator one! (Now, it's empty, nothing about this)

So, how can I copy all my settings, remove the user and a user account?

    I hope I was understandable! :)

    Good day!

    Hi Muzsika,

I don't know what you mean, so I'll just say what I think is your problem, and then respond.

Problem: I have a standard account I have all my files in and have customized this account. I have an administrator account that I don't use. Because I can't remove the administrator account, I would copy the standard account for the administrator account and remove the standard account.

The answer is: change the standard account to an administrator. account, and then delete the other admin account.
How to change an account type to administrator: (necessarily using the account admin.)
    1. Open a user account by clicking on the button start , clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, click user accounts, and then clicking on manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. Click on the standard account and then click on change the account type.

    3. Select the type of account you want, and then click on change the account Type.

3 - type changes to accounts, press ENTER.
4 - click on your main account.
5 - click on change the account type.
6.-s' ensure that the administrator is selected.
7 - click change the account type.
    Remove the administrator account:
    Make 1-3 above.
-Click the account you want to delete.
    -Click on remove the account.

  • Removal of administrative account

I have Lenovo Ideapad Z570 with Windows 7 Home Premium and I want to delete the administrator account. My password work when I open Windows, but when I try to remove the administrative account in Control Panel, all the time, I get a message that my password is incorrect. What is the solution? Petar DJ

You must be at least one account of administrator on the PC level.  Having two accounts is your best protection against the risk of corruption of the user profiles.

Consider that you normally use on a Standard user account and you have verified that this account is a Standard user account - see Control Panel, user accounts.  That's fine, but you need to have administrator accounts as well.

  • remove the administrator name and password

cannot update or download programs. pop up States 'type admin name'... but the area type in 'GRAYED OUT' help!

If you had only an administrative user account and it is him that you damaged, all is not lost. You want to allow the built-in Administrator and create a new administrative user by general recommendations for the establishment of user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to log on to the built-in Administrator account.

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • How to remove the administrator user

I create a user administrator using cmd.exe. The command is
    "net/active: Yes"user "Administrator" password"{enter}".

Now I want to delete this account, but I can't delete it anywhere, as the user accounts and parental controls as well as cmd.exe
    "net user"Administrator"/ delete".

How can I remove that administrator user?

The administrator account is a built-in account. Windows won't let you delete it. However, you can turn it off when you type this command at a command prompt:

NET user administrator / active: No.
Make sure you have two additional accounts admin fully tested and documented before going ahead with the above command.
  • To remove the administration settings?

I'll put up a collaboration for the trial of a couple of people on the web service.  Finally thanks to a lot of frustration I establish a connection where the test site is hosted.  I wonder now until I can fully established the site on the removal of the administration on the test web site settings.  My questions are this, it will eliminate the IIS configuration running on the web server?  Or is it just for one Contribute?  Many people use the web test site "approve" updates and other until he became.  Any help would be appreciated.  I looked through the documentation and it is very sparse on this subject.  Thank you.

    Jeremiah.

    Hi Jeremiah,.

The administration of the removal applies only to the Contribute. It will not affect any of the IIS configuration. Removing the administration would remove the role settings for users of the Web site, and you will have to redo the settings again.

"A lot of people use web site test"approve"updates and other until it became." - are you using Contribute to the approval process? If so, make sure that all web pages have been approved before removing the administration for the site.

I hope this helps. See you soon.

  • Unable to get the administrator account.

I changed my password (without the backup disk) and now I can't access my account admin or make updates.  Is it possible that I can get the password set to day for I can put?

Syed, is simply not true. Vista (and Windows 7) has means legitimate integrated for the OP to enter its system, which do not require a password for third-party software cracking and therefore who works against the rules of the forum, Ms.

"Connieongeek" - you can change your password to something that you remember another administrative user account. If you had only an administrative user account and you have forgotten the password, all is not lost. You can then follow the general recommendations for implementing user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to connect to your user account by using the password that you set; for example, 1234.
