Renesas USB3.0 HostController

Hello

Have installed a Silverstone internal USB3.0 PCI expansion card, model Nr. OSH-EC01-P, on an ASRock P5B - OF Mainboard, OS Windows8 Prof.. Downloaded and installed the latest driver from silverstonetek.com.

Problem: The Renesas USB3 Host driver 30230 correspondent indicates a starting problem. (Exclamation in the manager sign). Reinstall the driver does not solve the problem. Any help? Perhaps another driver?

Thanks for any help.

Montalin

Hello

Update your card to Silverstone for the latest firmware and drivers.
Two of them here, you can:
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/Renesas.htm
Your card is based on the NEC chipset uPD720202, so use those:
Drivers NEC/RENESAS USB3 Controller (uPD720201 & uPD720202) 3.0.23.0
NEC/RENESAS USB3 (uPD720201 & uPD720202) firmware on the controller Version 2.0.2.0
Hope that solves your driver problems.
Kind regards
Carlos

  • Renesas USB3.0 Host Controller disappears from the Device Manager

I recently installed a USB3.0 PCI-E card in my computer (Renesas uPD720200 USB3). The problem I have is that the host controller keeps endangered since the Device Manager, and then I can't use the USB ports. I use Windows 7 64-bit. It disappears usually when I stopped for an evening and then start up the next day and he disappeared. If I just have it reboot normally disappears, but sometimes remains. If I leave the computer and let it go to sleep, when I wake up, the host controller has disappeared. I tried some troubleshooting steps are based on research on google and the answers to this question: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/renesas-usb-30-driver-continuous-uninstalls-from/ac6b1137-1778-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5?auth=1&page=2

If I uninstall all controllers USB host and reboot, the host controller reappears, but only temporarily. The next time I start up it went again and I have to repeat the process (uninstall all host controllers and restart).
Once or twice I could make it reappear after running the utility of hardware troubleshooting (Panel-> Troubleshooting-> Hardware and Sound-> configure a device), but it is not reliable and I'm usually better off just uninstall all host controllers and reboot. Regardless of if it works, the store always gives me the message "hardware changes may not have been detected", and when I look at the details it says "configured to never install drivers from Windows Update. " There is no question."
I've updated the driver. I downloaded the Version 2.1.28.1 of the Intel Download Center (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19880/eng/USB3.0_allOS_2.1.28.1_PV.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=19880). It seemed to install fine, but Device Manager shows the driver version is 2.1.28.0. Repeat the installation produces the same result.
I updated the Firmware (http://www.station-drivers.com/page/renesas.htm) and that seems to work very well, but didn't had no bearing on my problem.
I would be really grateful for any help or suggestion.

  • Aurora R3 Windows 10 birthday day hot start out back

After you install the update to Windows 10 anniversary, which required the old trick of hard-boot-between-steps to install, I find my Alienware Aurora r3 reboot properly and crashes while loading windows process.  Previously, I managed to solve this problem by reinstalling the drivers Chipset Intel and Renesas USB3, but that doesn't seem to work this time.  Does anyone at - he had success resolving this issue with the update of the anniversary?

    Hello

Unfortunately, according to the policy document, the Alienware Aurora R3 will not be supported on Windows 8, 8.1, or 10. Some users have successfully installed Windows 10 on these non supported system, but they did all the pilot survey to force it to work. Dell doesn't have the resources to do this on systems not supported. You can also try this announcement on Notebook Review and Alienware Arena forums for assistance.

  • USB 3.0 Port at random times out the error "semaphore timeout period has expired.

My USB 3.0 port randomly shuts down completely. I sometimes get a message that says "the semaphore timeout period has expired." I disabled USB selective suspend and verified that the port is functional (Device Manager) and even used my drive hard/USB stick/mouse wireless mouse in the regular USB 2.0 ports. 2.0 ports both products I work very well. Moreover, the stop device, is not related to the volume or type of media, that I'm going through. Yes, any driver alone on my computer is 100% up-to-date (from validation). How can I change this? I feel that I lost all the money on my new USB 3.0 hard drive.

    Windows 7, 64-bit.

I also had the same problem and host controller Renesas usb3.

I went to the site intel and downloaded this driver

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19880&lang=eng

My driver usb3 was updated according to Microsoft and Lenovo.

Former pilot was 2.0.32.0 according to Lenovo.

My external drive USB3 now works correctly and not cut or hang PCs.

No help on Microsoft or Lenovo websites regarding this issue, but it is a HUGE problem.

  • [Need help] New Alienware X 51 BSOD when using the Ports of USB 3.0

    Hello world

Today, I received my Alienware X 51.  After you set up the system, I plugged my external hard drive USB 3.0 one of the 3 USB ports on the back of the unit.  The system immediately blue armored and closed.  I let the system restart normally, only to find he Blue filtered and restarted again.  After the third BSOD, I deleted all devices on the computer and let it restart.  It has not crashed this time.  Always plug the devices back to demonstrated that when 3 USB hard drive was plugged into the system, the PC crashed.  I am able to reproduce this constantly: hard drive goes in, system hangs.

I stayed on the phone with Dell technical support tonight, but all they could tell me to do is find another USB 3 device for test ports with.  Since I have none is available, I'm looking at the community of users for more help.  For the record, I managed to extract the files from BSOD dump.  Here is the latest in graphical format:

Anyone seen this before?  My troubleshooting course consisted by uninstalling the driver for the Renesas Electronics USB 3 hub controller supplied with the system and reinstall the drivers using a package available on the Dell (http://downloads.dell.com/Pages/Drivers/alienware-x51.html) website.  It did not work.  I also tried to format the hard drive, but the BSOD persisted.  Needless to say, I am ideas.

The drive works fine in a USB 2 port.  Of course, I am disappointed that I am not able to use the higher speeds of USB 3 port at this time.

Anyone seen this before?  Any suggestions on next steps?  What information can provide this help?

    Thank you!

I am surprised that this post was did not yet a member of Dell since there is a patch to do this, apparently, I had this problem when I arrived to an external hard drive a few days ago

  • Cannot find driver for camera, Vision 2012 USB3 DAQmx

I have an executable of LabView and the Vision 2012 (Run-time) system, which I connect a new camera USB3.

The camera appears in the device under 'other devices' Manager with a warning symbol. When I try to update the driver I can't find no driver in 'NI-IMAQ interfaces' drivers in the list (see attached screenshot).

I tried to reinstall Vision 2012, including IMAQdx (4?), but it did not help. I don't want to install a newer version, because I lose the vision run-time license.

    OS: Win XP SP3

    Camera: Basler puA2500-14uc

    Home/USB-PCIe controller card: Renesas

    Thank you

    James.

The support USB3 Vision has not added until version 2013 vision acquisition. You will need to use a more recent version. Note that the acquisition of the Vision and the Vision Development Module are two different pieces of software. In general, you want to use the latest version of the two. However, if you do not have a more recent version of LabVIEW, you can find that newer versions of the software are not comaptible with versions of LabVIEW to 2012. In general, you can use your older license with a more recent version, you simply won't have access to new features (this is how the Vision Development Module works in general).

  • T61 usb3?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a decent 2 or 3 port USB3 card Express, Ive heard nasty things about cards too hot AKE and just not not not to mention nightmares driver with them.

Anyone with a decent success with USB3 express card?

Finally you need to power the device via an existing usb2 port? I'd rather a card that powers itself and not use an increase in 1 of my usb ports existing if possible.

Anyone with a T61 that can help me with this?

    Thank you.

    Hello

No specific recommendations, but each card AKE I have seen used the Fresco Logic chipset, so I would say in ensuring that you purchase contains a chipset Renesas Electronics (formerly NEC Electronics).

If I move the mouse wireless ports USB 1 or 2, its OK.   The HD USB dock that I use are self powered so it's not a current max USB issue.

Same scenario if I try ports 1 and 2. It looks like the 4 ports are not independent, 1/2, 3/4 are shared. But I don't understand why it does not work in all cases.

If you have a powered usb hub, you can test the thesis that it is current that seems somewhat likely

  • MB 12 "retina: disconnects with a disc random external usb3.1typeC" sandisk 900 extreme 960GB.

    Hello

I recently bought an external drive of 960GB "sandisk extreme 900" with connection usb3.1typC. the drive has no other ports.

It is directly connected to my macbook 12 "retina with the port of usb3.1typeC, and I lived at random disconnects, without physically moving the macbook or the external drive. disconnects occur only when a copy is going, I copy 100 or 200 GB.

the plug is correctly connected and does nor appear in the finder or in the application of harddisctool apple - after disconnecting.

When I reboot 3 times, it pops up with the error "drive my being damaged, you can read but not write, format this drive."

When I test the drive on my imac 27 ", I did not discconnects. but then I use another cable: "usb3.1typeC to usb3.0.

-is this model "sandisk extreme 900" compatible with the MB 12 "retina?

-is there enough power by the mb 12 "retina? for example when he is left of 30% of its power, I unplug the cable and then plug the external sandisk in the Mo - I wonder if the external drive can get enough power?

    Thank you!

    selfanswering:

SanDisk lists this product '900 extreme' it is tested, verified and compatible with the retina 12 '' macbook from apple on their Web site.

"disconnect it as happen only when I copy files, I think that its not getting enough power to the mb12", first of all, what power is low (10%).

I can't use the power cord of the mb12"because there is only one port.

"the only thing that is strange: when the power of the mb12" is low (10%) and the external drive is to copy the files, it should not disconnect the drive.

the display of the power of 10% should quickly fall to 0.

  • Stroke of lightning or USB3.0 external Firewire Mac?

My 2011 MBP works still strong, but the FW and USB 2.0 are not keeping up with the external storage options: I can't see any external SSD FW option for backups of 1 TB, and my needs backup are currently between 2 and 3 TB.

Googling suggests no conversion option (aside from a separate computer with FW and USB3.0 ports) for connecting USB3.0 external to the FW port; and the last post, I've seen questions about external lightning to the FW port on the computer (here, from 2013) has confirmed that the Apple adapter is an external FW way to the Thunderbolt Mac port.

Another option again I missed connections more quick-as-USB 2.0 for a > 1 TB to a FireWire mac external SSD drive?

I guess you can always make your own. MacSales.com has some good ideas... I've seen some with Firewire and USB 3.0, but not much with Thunderbolt, Firewire and USB 3.0.  I don't think that you can really connect 3 USB firewire, but I could be wrong, and I do not think that there is a USB 3 map, you could add to your MacBook Pro 2011. You could try a dock any. I'm sure that your MacBook Pro is not built in thunderbolt.

  • USB 3.0 issues with Portege Z830 & Renesas electronic drivers

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Portege Z830. Until today I have use any pendrive USB 3.0 external. I bought a Kingston HyperX, but when I try to use it, the port recognizes the drive, but disappears in a few seconds...

Also when I use a port USB 2.0 back, it displays the unit, but it cannot read the contents of the USB drive.

I checked in internet forums, and I see similar cases, but not a clear solution...

    More information:

    1. the disc works if I restart windows on SafeMode (Windows 7-64 bit)
    2. the disc works on other computers (without electronic drivers Renesas).

I think it's a problem of Renesas electronic drivers, but I've updated, installed the modern version, power usb change, etc. but no solution...

This ultrabook is an expensive appliance, as well as the USB key, and of course, this should be a solution...

    Thank you for your help

    Hello

I downloaded the latest 2.1.28.0 USB 3.0 v driver available from the Toshiba UE driver page.
The fichiers.ini (64 bit driver) contains information that this USB 3.0 host controller driver is developed by Renesas Electronics Corporation.

I read a lot about the problems of USB 3.0 as part of different devices to USB 3.
The questions are not related to a specific manufacturer for laptop or device in most of the cases it s a compatibility issue between the two devices, I think that's most of the time impossible to test all USB 3.0 flash drives, HARD drive, etc. with different controllers USB 3.0 for compatibility problems always seems

I found a 3rd party page where you can find a few other drivers USB 3.0 of Renesas and NEC. But the use of these drivers is at your risk and perils do not know if they work properly.
    http://www.station-drivers.com/page/Renesas.htm

I think you might have to force windows to use the specified driver, then first choose "Browse my computer dethrone" and then "Let me pick from a list of device drivers...". ». This must be done in the Device Manager.

Would be interesting to know how it works
