Renewal of the license is a NIGHTMARE.

OK, I'm looking for guidance...

I have a few licenses I need to renew for VI/vSphere and vCenter. I chatted with VMware via "Chat with a specialist license", that ended without other help that ' send an email to & lt; x & gt; ». Email bounced because that gave me the address was not valid, so I found a web form to submit, which I didn't get a response to in 17 days. We tried to work with a dealer, who said that it is almost impossible to trying to get whatever it is understandable or significant VMware on our licenses. I need to know what the best way is to get what it takes and how much it will cost. I have contract IDs, and I order numbers. Is there phone # I can call, or a person that I can send an email, that will make me answers reliable, useful, useful (and correct) on our licenses in a reasonable amount of time? We tried to find out what it takes about 2 months - this is ridiculous. I think that VMware would make it extremely easy to renew licenses because it is easy money for them. Maybe my experience is not usual, but so far I'm not impressed.

As long as support contracts are active, you will automatically receive the upgrade free vSphere licenses.  Here is the web form to contact the team of renewal:

I suggest you to contact the licensing team using the foregoing method and open a Support request, since it will have the problem described.

    The distribution license is not necessary if you use these products for their personal use. But, is that if you distribute them for use beyond a personal installation (for example, if that you distribute via your company intranet).

    If you're talking about subscription license for CSC module, then the answer is NO, it starts counting from when you purchase the license again. You won't lose anything, however, without the subscription license, you cannot update the CSC module to service was last updated.

    All the Licenses for Windows retail (including upgrades) are transferable to the new machines (in the case of an upgrade it will still a qualifications base on the new machine license) and are actually eternal - at least until there is no material more around which it will run.

    OEM licenses are locked to the first machine on which they are turned on - but finally done as the motherboard (and the replacements of vices).

    As far as I know the licenses will be available on the portal, even after expiry of the SnS. Even without SnS you have the right to download the files for the purchased licenses and in the case where you had an active SnS to when a new version of the product are released, you have same right to upgrade to this version at a later date.

    If you are missing license keys, I would say that you open a case of pension license.
