Sometimes the player creates different authors or titles according to the CD. I can rearrange them but only with Win Explorer. Why doesn't the Media Player library reflect what the Explorer?

  Hi and thanks for your response. I tried you solution but it did not work for me. However, it led me to a Solutions of Web sites on which Microsoft Fixit Windows Media Player popup appeared. I down loaded and ran that and it worked. Thus, in a round point average, thank you for getting my problem is resolved.

  How can I create a library item in the latest version of dreamweaver CC? I want to save my Start menu and my right foot of author as part of the library but can not find a way to do it.

  Switch to the design view or Code view, and drag the selection to the active panel library category.

• Cannot edit the library item in CC15

  More often, my team can't simply double-click on a vector library item and opened it to change (as it should be.) When we double-click on (or even to choose 'Edit') nothing happens.

  Is it of any known issues with this feature? We really that libraries want to work, but there seems to be a certain number of obstacles makes it less reliable. We are on Mac - mixture of Yosemite and El Capitan.

  Assets of libraries are managed locally on your computer before you synchronize with your creative cloud account. You don't need to be connected to the Internet to sync a library between Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and other creative applications Cloud. Once you're connected to the Internet, local changes will be loaded.

  (The service that handles this is called CCLibrary, you can see running in Activity Monitor on Mac OS or Windows Task Manager when after effects CC 2015 is open.)

• Trouble with library items not updated

  I built a site in DW CS4 using a library item to the content of the header and footer. The content of the footer has remained constant, but there is a countdown in the header which should be updated periodically, which I was able to do successfully in DW CS4. I just upgraded my computer Windows 8.1 and DW CC (worm 2014.1.1 build 6981) and update the library for the header item is more correctly. I seconded the original header element library and he again with a new title and it re-introduced with the Insert on the active Panel button.

  I also had to remove an extra header tag that DW adds after the end of the library item, which was not part of my original code, when I insert the library item.   Library items must contain valid code. The problem is almost certainly due to the fact that you have an opening

  tag, but not a closing one. Dreamweaver CS4 would not be opposed to opening

  Working with CC Dreamweaver library items was easy before. Now, all of a sudden, something wrong, and I hope that someone has the solution. Example:
  I select a piece of a document, click on the button new item of library (in the active tab) - a new library item is done, but it skips the part where I make a name just automatically names Untitled1, etc. 2. Right click and rename then is impossible (?).
  And make a library from scratch item is the same - DW automatically gives him a name of file Untitled 1, 2 etc. and name change is impossible.

  The 'Name' column appears before the column 'Size' in the active panel.

  In your video, I could see that the name column is reduced. Please, expand it to display the name of the library item and edition/name it.

• Is it possible to update all instances of a library item in a document?

  I use a library item in my doc, but now I want to change how it looks all that can be found in my doc.  In Fireworks, we could update a symbol & apply updates to each instance in a doc.  Is there anyway to do this with InDesign CS 5.5?

  The Library objects do not work as 'symbols' who inherited Adobe Flash and Fireworks from Macromedia.

  I don't know how, (properties), you want to change all instances of the object, but since this is a stretched to native InDesign object, there is a good chance that you can use the find/replace function object tab to change his appearance throughout the document.

• DW 5.5 - library item - basic question

  Hello.  I'm on Windows XP Pro SP, with 1 GB of RAM and high-capacity disks.  I have been using DW 5.5 for awhile and ran across this situation recently and I don't know if it is a result expected or if it should be fixed.

  See the attached screenshot.  I am interested in why the line: <!-#EndLibraryItem-> upward in the section 'code' is not locked in yellow.  I have removed and reinserted the LibraryItem several times with the same result.  As you can see down into Design mode, DW displays this string as plain text - tells me something is wrong.  On this particular website, some of my other pages have this right of LibraryItem; the <!-#EndLibraryItem-> in the code is yellow and does not show in the design.  I wonder why this is and how to fix.

  Funny thing is the <!-#EndLibraryItem-> is not rendered on the page, nor the published page preview!  So, I have an error that is not a mistake.  Should I just ignore it?  I have a < div > unlocked?

  I just tried to change the library item in the preferences > Code coloring without effect. I have CS6 12.2 #6006.

  

  So I guess you're stuck with preset defaults to library items.  I'll do this as a bug report.  You should do the same.

• Why Flash does not generate the names of class not valid for library items?

  I imported a bunch of bitmaps (png).  Library symbol names included the full name of the file and its extension.  When I check "export for actionscript" he generates a class name based on the name of the symbol, and it includes the ".png", even if it is not valid in a class name.

  When I select several bitmaps and choose Properties and export for actionscript, this is a note saying that classnames will be automatically generated for all elements, but it does the same thing... including the ".png" in all class names.  Is this a problem?  It wouldn't save time if Flash would automatically deprive the the name of the instance of bitmap library symbol file extension when generating names of classes?

  Hi James,

  It's how he used to work in Flash CS 6 in which the name of the class generated automatically for any library item used to be the same as the element. Then, you will need to manually fix the name if necessary.

  This behavior has been changed in Flash CC. The names of classes are now generated correctly (special characters are removed, the names of symbols from wit a number get preceded by an underscore and for all bitmaps the extension line getting undress the class name). You can always change the classnames manually based on your naming convention.

• Edit a library item and now my CSS no longer works!

  I'm so frustrated that I am almost in tears.  I created a menu on a page of the site at about 7 and menu DW library to put on additional pages.  Everything worked well and then I changed a path to one of my links and click on the button to update the rest of the pages and that's when it happened.  My CSS had disappeared, no longer by applying to one of my menus.  I created an additional CSS sheet just for the style my menu and it worked fine until I changed a link frickin to one of my menu icons.  Now my CSS Sheets does not apply.  I don't know what's happened and why change the path of a link may result in the cancellation of my styles.  Anyone had this happen?  Suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

  Thanks to you all!  I realized what was going on, in my opinion.  For some odd

  reason, my div ID tags were is no longer included in the syntax.  When I went

  and put the right ID's back, everything fell in place.

• Behaviour doesn't seem to work properly in the library items.

  I tried to add beahavior browser window open in a library item, and it did not work. I could create the "onClick" event, but the behavior to add '+' is greyed out and I couldn't choose anything because it does not open. Had to just go and copy and paste from somewhere else and then change the URL. Even if the behavior now works when I click on the "gear" symbol to open the settings dialog box it wont open so I have to change it in code view.

  How ever it works perfectly in HTML. Someone else had this problem?
